  • Sometimes I wish the beaches here in Northern California were sunny, warm, and friendly like this! it's ALWAYS foggy and cold in the summer and the water is always in the fifties. Not trying to complain (our beaches are beautiful), but it would be nice to have some hot summer days here.

  • @hortulanus94 I've been to California a few times and the beaches are indeed beautiful BUT the water is always freezing cold and the fog is heavy in the mornings. Never actually went in the ocean but I did stick my foot in the water a few times. East coast beaches really have it all over California beaches for people who like the warm water. I took some video last week of Sandbridge beach (in southern Virginia Beach) and need to post. Spectacular, flat, wide beaches where you can ride a bike

  • Lived there my whole life till like 3 years ago i moved to tennessee with family. I miss it so much!!

  • And I love the wind in the background - I miss the jets flying over too

  • I love VA Beach, I lived there late 60's, and go back every year, it went through a rough period, but seems to be making a great comeback. I left my heart there when I moved to DC, but time for me to go back home. I don't see how you can be bored, if you really get out & explore.

  • I remember Virginia Beach. We used to live there. We lived there from August 2004 to July 2006. Those were great times. I really miss them.

  • I miss it so bad :[

  • @katie123286 I'll be back there tomorrow Katie. Only about 11 hours between me and the Beach (as we call the city).

  • loved it there...

  • @TheRandomFriends1000 Glad to hear that. Apparently our city leaders are doing something right.

  • Going to VA in about 2 weeks. 9 hour drive. CAN'T WAIT! (:

  • @supahhfreak Well, I live in VB but am in Syracuse at the moment. 9 hours and 10 minutes away so I underdstand. I will promise a good time.

  • @supahhfreak im going the 16th

  • i goin there in 2 weeks..AND I CANT WAIT..IM DRIVING FROM ALEXANDRIA...BOUT 3 HOUR DRIVE.......GONNA BE FUN....

  • Brings back good memories. I have an amazing story, it started...and sadly ended, not far from where you shot that video. Long story short...I miss my lost bride.

  • @KesslersCross For my first time on youtube, I'm not sure what to say. Good memories and lost brides fail to click with me. An extrapolation would be appreciated.

  • Hey i live in virginia beach lol i allways go to that beach it fun but somethimes it get really borning

  • @Marrchrange It's all what you make it. Except for vacations, I have never been bored in my life. My suggestion is to go over to Pick n Pull by Oceana and for $1, wander the junkyard. A lot cheaper than Ocean Breeze and a lot more to do.

  • it looks like ocean city, Weird.....

  • i used to live in virginia beach. it was soooo boring! i guess for tourists it's interesting, but after being there for a while it gets boring.

  • @jadeyes914 I've lived here for my life too it's not boring to me regardless of what some people say

  • @ninetailedfox96 I must agree. If you think Virginia Beach is boring, just wait until you get to Omaha.

  • I live in the Kempsville area.

  • @JennahChick me too

  • lol when i went here over the summer the waves where intense xD and after i left i had so much salt water in my mouth >.<

  • @LulzItsACat salt is good for you.

  • @LulzItsACat salt is good for you.

  • I'm going there tomorrow!

  • @spatodoom I hope you have a great time. It has been nice and hot this week so you should have perfect weather for the beach. Remember though, when at the oceanfront, there are video cameras everywhere so don't do anything wrong.

  • @vbdenny Well, I wasn't planning on committing any crimes this weekend, so the cameras shouldn't be a problem ;)

  • @spatodoom There are crimes you may not know about such as "cruising" where you drive by the same point more than once in a 2 hr period, the famous "NO %*^$#" law, the sleeping on the beach law, no alcohol on the beach rule. For dinner or lunch sometime, if you like true local flavor, take a ride up Atlantic Ave to the north until it turns into Shore Drive and continue to the Lynnhaven Inlet where there is Bubba's. A Waterfront seafood experience with good prices. Have fun

  • @vbdenny Yeah, the "NO %#$@" sign is right in front of our hotel, and me and my family were staring at it for the longest time trying to figure out what it meant lmao

  • @spatodoom lol, yeah, a lot of people don't understand it at first. Not sure who came up with that. Have fun!

  • i was there last month and it was amazing i loved it so much check out my other videos reate comment and subscribe plzz

  • i was there when there was seaweed and sealice was there, that sucked but i loved it there. I like the bike path but one time i was there during the winter and saw a seal on the beach , i guess it was okay but the animal people was makeing sure no one played with him.

  • @91Brittany1 was it a seal or a dolphin? I've never heard of seals around here. I know they rescue stranded dolphins frequently, sometimes a whale.

  • @vbdenny lol, no it was a seal, i was shocked too but it was, it was during the colder months so the water was colder.

  • @91Brittany1 guess I don't get the the oceanfront often enough. I always enjoy learning something new. The only Seals I knew about were at Dam Neck.

  • I mite go there... My Dad and i and my stepmom and my bro and sis are goin on a rode trip to TExas to Virigina...... Long Drive.. but its a family reuion... Hope i go there.. havent been there in 8 years :(

  • ooohhhh, my aunt lives in Virginia Beach with his husband, and my cousin. And my grandma is there three days ago.

  • @pumpkinbuster1 best beach on east coast! i go there every year too

  • @Rooney4ManU Yeah, I was down there the other day and it is looking good. Luckily, Virginians fought off the "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" people so we have no oil here yet. I guess in the future, beach choices will be the east or west coast. Truely sucks

  • I remember the day we went in....'04 or '05 it was like 90 degrees out and we had to wear those like water shoes because the sand was too hot haha! Good times...good times.

  • very fun.

  • is there any sharks there

  • Whenever you are in the ocean, there are sharks. Luckily, Virginia Beach only has the friendly kind and they hardly ever bite anyone. I know a couple surfers that see them and I know when I have been fishing I've seen and caught them. There are also a ton of dolphins around Virginia Beach and sharkes don't care much for them.

  • yeah i know there are sharks always i just really don't wish to see a shark ever i only saw 3 ocean creatures at Myrtle beach last year and only 1 was alive and it was the size of my hand and it was a cute fish that jumped out the water and i saw a dead jellyfish and a small dead ray on a rock but that is all

  • i might go there this year next month maybe

  • I remember having to run over that sand because it was sooo hot!

  • haha....this beach is amazing...i dont want 2 leave =(

  • VIRGINIA BEACH,VIRGINIA HELL YEAH

  • alright thanks for answering. i hope its nice when i go!

  • ha we asked the same thing bro. :)

  • hey do u know what the weather is like there in april?

  • sure. It can be really nice or it can be really crappy. I have seen it in the 80's and beautiful and I have seen it in the 40's and rainy. Luck of the draw RSJ.

  • It's pure damn cold, that's what it is.

  • oh really? cause i went there in april and it was beautiful...ha

  • its like vbdenny said luch of the draw. I live here and it can be really cold or really warm. I remember about march it was warm adn then the next ay we got like about a foot of snow. my car broke!

  • lol yikes. im glad it was nice when we went. ;) whats the most snow u have ever gotton there?

  • In early March of 1980 we got 18" one day and another foot the next. Usually we only get an occasional dusting

  • ha thats not bad. you guys are soo lucky...

  • @rsj330 over 12 inches

  • omg virginia beach (L)

i absolutely love going there to visit my uncel and everyone <3

  • beautiful day

  • wow i live like right next to the beach and it is ALWAYS crowded, you picked a good day to video tape.

  • wow. i live in va beach.....and those are one of the days that the oceanfront isnt crowded at all. usually in the weekends its crowded as fuck

  • No, that wasn't me. I took this in 2006

  • DUDE were you the guy making a video this afternoon? (3.3.2007)

  • You have some GREAT Ocean beach and waves shots -- appreciate no talking. Got any that show more of the interesting and often fun "traffic" on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk to upload?
