@SurfyAdrenalinJunkie It's not about which company or hardware you prefer; its about the pros and cons of each one. When I played CoD 4 on the PS3 and the 360, I noticed that the population counter for each game type, and for everyone as a whole, showed almost EXACTLY 10 times as many people playing on the 360. The wii has a ton of shitty games, and less than 10 good ones. The DS had good games and popularity; the PSP hardly had any good games. Exclusive games like Halo and Mario also matter.

Nintendo in a business sense is dominating as they have opened the market to a new consumer. However, the lack of third party support in creating games for their original and core audience of gamers has been a diappointment. Only Nintendo are creating those games. For these reasons I think PS3 move and Kinect will just be a gimmick and will be shit. The motion control will not be included in the consoles biggest and most played titles such as CoD, Halo etc.

Kinect, remember no buttons so, how do you switch weapon? shoot? grenade? crouch? It just isn't possible and even it was you wouldn't be able to react as fast as someone using a controller. Therefore games which you find on the Wii you will see on Kinect and Move. No gamer is gunna sacrifice CoD for Kinect sports and families are gunna get cheaper option of the Wii.

If you want to take that view, that Sony were the first to develop this technology into the market then, you really have to look at Nintendo's future first. Nintendo has had several projects in the past like 20-30 years ago which was similar to this technology but, it all failed. Nintendo were the first company to fully incorporate the tech into their console rather than have it as a pointless extra.

The move works NOTHING like the wii does. the wii has no z-axis reading so the wii cannot ditect where it is exactly from the tv, only how its moving. this guy is an idiot.

I'd avoid Kinnect. 150$ for an add-on that will rely on Game Designer's to not brush it off. Since this is unique, the games will have to be exclusives, wich means the game designer's will have to not only make it just for Xbox, so they couldn't profit from multi-platform, but also have to work in these controls. It has games like Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Red Steel 2, Monster Hunter 3, Sin & Punishment 2, Madworld, the No More Heroes series, Metroid Other M, Goldeneye 007, Samurai Warriors 3, Zelda SS, Dragon Quest X, The Conduit 1&2, etc. Some of which are not out yet.
Kinect and the PS move will both be failures cus thats just coping the wii, ecpecialy the move. Not so mutch kinect. Kinect may not even work with real games. I might get the move kinect, most likley not. Im going to have to hear reveiws about it after it comes out, then I'll decide.
im not so sure becuz i have played the wii and im not such a big fan of it but with the ps3 it would be fun to slash people on god of war or shoot guys in metal gear solid but im not sure i would like it that much and for the xbox i dont think i would like it becuz it would be hard with no phisycal feedback and it would be boring becuz i like mashing on buttons and that kind of stuff.
Move seems to be a step up from the wii and Socom 2 does look pretty damn good but Kinect seems to have a very limited variety in comparison. Literally the only games that seem to be in development are 'on the rails' type games as Kinect has no buttons. Im not saying Kinect is balls, i just think Move will have more variety.

Aw, now I wouldn't say that. The online is fine for me. I don't see how online can be different between consoles. It's either meeting friends online and playing or meeting random people and playing. And I don't think that DVDs of High-Definition are important in consoles at all. If I wanted to watch DVDs, I'd buy a DVD player. And playing games that "look almost real" doesn't enhance my experience at all.
@nturneta Yes, but the Wii's online experience is VERY basic. No voice chat, no sort of "achievement/trophy" system (which really does enhance and gives life to your games), no profile, etc.
Having a DVD player built-in to the console gives it a very good value, some people even purchase PS3s just for the Blu-Ray feature, seeing how it is a cheaper Blu-Ray player than the dedicated players. Hi-Def gives your purchase of a HDTV more value (assuming you have one). Plus, your games look good.

After e3 2010 I am on board with move due to its functioning and it's precise. Kinect as its now called is just a platform for wii knock offs and uber casual shovel ware.. Sony once again did their research and are bringing relevant technology to market. I think a bunch of people are going to buy kinect because of the IDEA of natal. Full body motion control is a thriling idea but kinect is flawed in severa key areas but unfortunately because of the MS PR machine they will market this to NOOBS..
If these where going to be cheaper I'd probably get both, but since we now know the prices and they are both rather expensive I'm probably going to wait till theres a game I really want to play on them.

Move is not the same as wii. Move has a large array of sensors that give the exact position of the controller in 3 dimensions.
Wii only gives basic accelerometer data and where it is pointing.
Development on the move started before development on the wii.
Move developement started in 2001 and the first demo was in 2001

@SurfyAdrenalinJunkie It's not about which company or hardware you prefer; its about the pros and cons of each one. When I played CoD 4 on the PS3 and the 360, I noticed that the population counter for each game type, and for everyone as a whole, showed almost EXACTLY 10 times as many people playing on the 360. The wii has a ton of shitty games, and less than 10 good ones. The DS had good games and popularity; the PSP hardly had any good games. Exclusive games like Halo and Mario also matter.

kinect has this handy lil motor in the stand that lets it follow you around the room, the only restriction is needing to be between 4' minimum and 10' maximum away from the sensor

R&D for Playstation Move started before the Wii was even conceived. Their concept of two motion sensors, controlling things [on screen] in 3D space, was originally called "Magic Duel" in 2001 when they had a tech demo to demonstrate the concept.

Nintendo in a business sense is dominating as they have opened the market to a new consumer. However, the lack of third party support in creating games for their original and core audience of gamers has been a diappointment. Only Nintendo are creating those games. For these reasons I think PS3 move and Kinect will just be a gimmick and will be shit. The motion control will not be included in the consoles biggest and most played titles such as CoD, Halo etc.

@FallenAngelYuill The reason it won't be included is for a game like CoD which has a massive multiplayer it just wouldn't work. Kinect, remember no buttons so, how do you switch weapon? shoot? grenade? crouch? It just isn't possible and even it was you wouldn't be able to react as fast as someone using a controller. Therefore games which you find on the Wii you will see on Kinect and Move. No gamer is gunna sacrifice CoD for Kinect sports and families are gunna get cheaper option of the Wii.

If you want to take that view, that Sony were the first to develop this technology into the market then, you really have to look at Nintendo's future first. Nintendo has had several projects in the past like 20-30 years ago which was similar to this technology but, it all failed. Nintendo were the first company to fully incorporate the tech into their console rather than have it as a pointless extra.

im a person who likes to have the new things when i can. i dont own a ps3 or xbox360. i dont like to buy electronics when they first come out so i can research them, and give the company time to work out bugs. however i hate when i buy something, then the new one comes out a few months later. should i try to get a ps3 or 360 for x-mas this december, or should i wait for the ps4 / xbox720?......also if your friends all have 360's.....but you like the ps3 games / features...which is a better buy??

It'd be quite hillarious to see someone who insulted the Wii going out and bying this, 'cause it's on their "console".
I'd avoid Kinnect. 150$ for an add-on that will rely on Game Designer's to not brush it off. Since this is unique, the games will have to be exclusives, wich means the game designer's will have to not only make it just for Xbox, so they couldn't profit from multi-platform, but also have to work in these controls. Now for the Shovel Ware.

It has games like Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Red Steel 2, Monster Hunter 3, Sin & Punishment 2, Madworld, the No More Heroes series, Metroid Other M, Goldeneye 007, Samurai Warriors 3, Zelda SS, Dragon Quest X, The Conduit 1&2, etc. Some of which are not out yet.

Move seems to be a step up from the wii and Socom 2 does look pretty damn good but Kinect seems to have a very limited variety in comparison. Literally the only games that seem to be in development are 'on the rails' type games as Kinect has no buttons. Im not saying Kinect is balls, i just think Move will have more variety.

@nturneta Well, it is the weakest out of the 3 available consoles. It doesn't do high-def, it's multiplayer is much weaker than Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network, it doesn't have any sort of DVD player (where Xbox 360 can upscale DVDs to HD and Sony can do both Blu-Ray and DVD), etc. It's a great, unique console, but it just doesn't keep up with the PS3 or Xbox 360.

Aw, now I wouldn't say that. The online is fine for me. I don't see how online can be different between consoles. It's either meeting friends online and playing or meeting random people and playing. And I don't think that DVDs of High-Definition are important in consoles at all. If I wanted to watch DVDs, I'd buy a DVD player. And playing games that "look almost real" doesn't enhance my experience at all.

@nturneta Yes, but the Wii's online experience is VERY basic. No voice chat, no sort of "achievement/trophy" system (which really does enhance and gives life to your games), no profile, etc.
Having a DVD player built-in to the console gives it a very good value, some people even purchase PS3s just for the Blu-Ray feature, seeing how it is a cheaper Blu-Ray player than the dedicated players. Hi-Def gives your purchase of a HDTV more value (assuming you have one). Plus, your games look good.

After e3 2010 I am on board with move due to its functioning and it's precise. Kinect as its now called is just a platform for wii knock offs and uber casual shovel ware.. Sony once again did their research and are bringing relevant technology to market. I think a bunch of people are going to buy kinect because of the IDEA of natal. Full body motion control is a thriling idea but kinect is flawed in severa key areas but unfortunately because of the MS PR machine they will market this to NOOBS..
