When i was young i never realised how god awful these movies were, especially the Karate Kid himself. Its hilarious that the when Daniel did the drum technique the other guy all of a sudden couldnt hit him. Its not as though it was hard to predict what he was about to do.

This movie is another masterpiece in this wonderful franchise. Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita were brilliant as always. Tamlyn Tomita and Danny Kamekona were great too but I still missed Macchio's screen mother, she was very impressive in original movie. Anyway, The Karate Kid 2 was great sequel. They put more philosophy in it plus we can find out more about Miyagi's origin. I miss the 80's

The Crane Technique can be dangerous since I used to be in Martial Arts and my master said how dangerous the Crane Technique can be since putting your arms out to the side keeps your face and chest open for someone to punch you easily (my master said it's best to keeps your fists held up to protect your face like Chozen was from 3:47-3:59) , and standing on one foot is dangerous since the person confronting you can push your over easily and make you lose your balance.

@satmandoo The drums are considered as a body and the balls on the drums are considered as arms. (Mr. Miyagi said this to Daniel in the middle of the movie next to a river while using a hook). So Mr. Miyagi and the crowd were telling Daniel to fight Chozen with the drum technique and luckily Daniel got the message. (Mr. Miyagi and the crowd couldn't say it out loud and do it with their bodies since Chozen will get the message faster and kill Daniel faster as an experienced black belt).
