Your not too smart are you? You hold a bandanna against the spoon so you dont get shocked... however REGARDLESS of the fact that electricity takes the path of least resistance you still chose a material which isn't an insulator.
My friend took one of those chip things and I didn't know wtf it was and had me hold it then it shocked, hurt like shit, and I punched him in the face.
