Relaxing... this soothes the soul, especially after a brutal year in 7th grade. Simply amazing! For some reason, this sounds like music from a Christmas Special (Charlie Brown comes to mind, which isn't a bad thing at all). Very well made, but the end stopped abruptly. 4.5/5

Usually...jazz is played in the dorain mode. To find the scales in dorian mode, take any major key and start on the second note of the scale. In the scale, there are five notes (1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th) that create a "jazz" chord. The others are called the color notes. Soloing in jazz is just like cooking. You have your ingredients (7th chords and Dorian Mode), and no matter how you make something, it will always be edible. It may not taste good, but that's where experimenting comes from.

Hey, which scale degrees are you using throughout this? I'm trying to get better at jazz improv with scales, right now my right hand mostly bangs out melodies with chords, my single note improv pretty much sucks.

Actually creating small bits and pieces of lines is probably more musical than just running up and down scales.

I've just started studying at a conservatory this year -hence the lack of uploads- and only now getting various scales in my hands. Octatonic and Altered come to mind.

It's all about playing X scales over Y chord, not just about the scales.

Most of all, it takes practice, patience and time!
