@Totalmachine09 (2/2) The idea of positive discrimination is to give advantages to disenfranchised minorities. Though arithmetically it is unfair, it isn't meant to be a permanent feature of policy. What it's supposed to do is counter disparities that faced or are facing generation X so that generation Y isn't left with the hangover. Again, and as Rendier explains, there could come a point one day when it will have lasted longer than it needed to - but in my region that day isn't any time soon.

In 2005 I was in South Africa, my mother is from S.A and is married an American, I had applyed for citizenship for South Africa, had given them the proper paper's and form's to fill it out and was refused. I plan on reapplying again when I finish getting my nursing degree. I would like to come to this march, even though I may not be a 'true' south african I have just all much south african blood running through me! My mother has taught me Afikkans, and miss S.A so much!

In the UK we do have positive discrimination, but white people aren't blocked from applying for jobs. Naturally, any private organisation can operate any way it pleases - but there is no law disaffecting white people.
There is a risk it can evolve into what Rendier describes. Here in the UK however, that isn't really foreseeable.

In 2005 I was in South Africa, my mother is from S.A and is married an American, I had applyed for citizenship for South Africa, had given them the proper paper's and form's to fill it out and was refused. I plan on reapplying again when I finish getting my nursing degree. I would like to come to this march, even though I may not be a 'true' south african I have just all much south african blood running through me! My mother has taught me Afikkans, and miss S.A so much!

@makheyi I am not aware of this. I support democracy in South Africa. It seems Malema and others have cleverly played off the AWB. The real issue in SA is crime and unemployment. And of course, the ANC cannot make life better for South Africans. However they have convinced a lot of fools.
