The simple facts in the bill will change the game, even a little for the little guy. hell I would love single payer but thats a pipe dream now. we need to go after what we really can. there will be a public option in the bill that hits the desk of Obama, it will be weak but its a start. Just like medicare was weak but over time got stronger. We cant just let this go. also if the money people love it why are they putting millions out each day to kill it?

Im a 100% anti-obama on a philosophical/political level...morally, he is trying to accomplish good...but, you cannot break other moral values (property) in order to accomplish another (equality)...its a sad fact that everyone is not equal in wealth and opportunity, but you cannot forcefully take from those whom have wealth and created the opportunity for themselves in order to accomplish equality...equality will never exist unless we are all subservant to a dictatorship or oligarchy...

if he, ashamed that it is HIS responsibility now - this is not how it was intended to be by our founders, but...if HE would cut government ties with the economy, reduce taxes by a large percentage and just lets voluntary donations take place...the morality of America would overwhelming show and those whom have no wealth or have less opportunity would have a greater chance to become "equal" due to the created jobs and opportunities that would arise...from none other than the wealthy.

I hear you but I completely disagree. While govt can be bad it does serve a useful purpose. I have lived in a lawless country (govt was corrupt and useless to the bone)...and you can ask any foreigner they would rather pay taxes than live where there are no roads, no military, no cops, no "help" if you fall on really bad times and etc...I by no means advocate for government intervention But I just think if you knew the people that I know back home they would give their legs and arms to come here

Governments only role and only reason for existance is to protect the Rights of the Individuals which live in this Country...not to pay for living expenses by stealing the wealth of another individual...this supplement can all be done through the good intentions of the individuals and through private, voluntary charities...

Navy is necessary by the federal Government...police are not, that is strictly a local issue.

again, it all falls back to Property Rights...the ONLY person or entity entitled to YOUR Property is YOU...Only YOU can say "i want to keep all of it" or "I want to donate a certain portion to a relevant cause"...noone else has the Right to take your Property (wealth, body, land) and tell YOU what to do with it.

This is what taxation does...even if taxed 1%, that 1% is YOURS and noone else is entitled to it because YOUR labor and YOUR Property (body) earned that 1%...
