@GameICY The problem is that "small local banks" are incentized to grow into too big to fail banks in order to capture that subsidy. Skip the "small" bank and join a credit union instead!
@carbonpenguin thanks, I looked into right after reading your comment and discovered their rates of return are higher, minimum balance was lower, checks were free, NCUA insured up to 100k almost 1 mile closer. I will handle it this week because even after I re-deposited the money into my account they continued to take the 6.99 service charge for the day it transferred in and the day after. Thanks for the suggestion
@GameICY your transaction is not considered a debit transaction in which you are "swiping your card" in the eyes of the bank. It is considered a debit that you preauthorized in which paypal can take money out of your account at anytime. so if you dont have the money its F U we'll still take it. so your fight isn't with CB its with paypal because on that contract you didnt read they can take funds when ever they want.
