Great video! Alot of people don't relise most confederate troops joined not because of slavery but to protect their homes from invading yankes and to not being taxed by a tyrany. Only 26% owned slaves in most southern states.
@ImASovereignMan Right beside you brother. A Southern man is happiest when he's got the wind at this back a good rifle in his hands, and a Yankee in his sights.
So I as a German sympathetic to South and the North can not find that great, because the true north to the black not much better for example the quote: "Why does a black one but here it is cold here, he should prefer to live further south? "and that the war was fought only over slavery is not entirely correct there were also cultural and economic differences of the true north of the southern industrial agriculture.
Everyone needs to watch this and realize that confederates aren't a bunch of racist savages but that they're just people fighting for their home and freedom.
@pabloblanco1981 No we were not traitors, we legally reversed the process of acession, which joined us with the U.S., by seceding. And the Union rag was flown over every slave ship that imported every slave in America at the time. The C.S. did not import OR export any slaves during the duration of the Second American Revolution.
the south in that time was the backbone of america, the crops were the entire economy of america as well, every nation that has fought a war fought for what they believed in was right, whats right and wrong are just matters of opinion rather then fact
and dont even start talkin about puppets... obama is george bushes 13th cousin, related thru obamas half white side... making u a puppet right now in the tons of propaganda everyday we see on TV
form the gray line my bully boys! oh! for men of heart and courage of the yesterday to rise up and touch its children ounce more and in doing so bring forth a fire for freedom.
A most excellent video, it was nice to see the Battle of Natural Bridge mentioned. My great-great grandfather fought to defend Tallahassee in that battle. He was with Company D, 5th Florida cavalry CSA.
A truly outstanding film CCR! Great history included shows the utmost importance of honor among The Confederate.
Giving ones life for a Cause fighting to suppress tyranny exemplifies honor. Such was the honor of the brave young, old, and ill equipped civilian soldier Confederates.
Almost 100 years prior, a young 21 year old, Nathan Hale, lived that spirit to his dying breath. May God guide those of such caliber to join us in our fight today.
Thanks man! You're exactely right about the men such as Nathan Hale, I believe there are many nowdays for whom his words would still ring true:
"I only regret that I have but one life to give my country."
In my opinion, there is no greater Honor than to be willing to give ones life in the defence of true Freedom and to protect the innocent from tyranny.
Absolutely! I found this quote the other day by Gen. Lee, he said "We could have pursued no other course without dishonor, and sad as the results have been, if it had all to be done over again, we should be compelled to act in precisely the same manner"
I'm pretty sure Georges Washington would have been a confederate if he had lived in 1861...

@nle4lyfe you make no sense sir, literally or metaphorically. Agitators (meaning you) are usually uninformed people with some angry agenda.

This was very moving. I have dozens of ancestors who fought through the war for the south and many died for the cause.
