I'm only 46 (near47) now, so don't remember Dave. But I do remember Bon, and what a rock'n'roll legend he is. We were kids in Ireland, and drunk and cried when he died. The band went on to become even bigger with another singer — who was alright, I suppose — but the real AC/DC to me is with Scott. I think 'Touch Too Much' was there last hit or that era.... I remember seein' them on TOTP (true) shortly before poor Bon booked himself into history.

Five months after Scott's death, AC/DC finished the work they began with Scott and released Back in Black as a tribute to him with two tracks from the album, "Hells Bells" and "Back in Black", dedicated to his memory.

I can easily imagine Scott singing tracks, like "Let Me Put My Love Into You" or "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution." Arrangement and lyrically, its his style.

Yes, Bon did this song best, because he was best at low ranges. Imagine Bon trying to do thunderstruck or heatseeker?? Johnson has been with the band for over 30 yrs! Shrieking his ass off. the recording of brian was not in the 80's his voice changes drastically from the 80's to the 90's look at an 1980 recording of Brian then at one of him in the 90's the change is very noticeable, hard to decide wether it was for the good or bad, i love his voice either way! he is my favorite, but Bon is amazing to, he sings some songs in a way Brian never can, but there are songs by Brian that Bon wouldnt sound good in either, listen to Geordie-house of the rising sun, Brian before AC/DC, great

@acdcgnr100 But Bon Scott was a huge part of the arranging and writing and a main contributor to ACDC recordings. Drums, Flute, Bagpipes, lyrics, vocals; he was a multi-instrumentalist, and a very unique - hard to match voice. Brian did well on B in B and For Those About to Rock, but he could never cover the Bon stuff very well. He just never had the power, voice or soul that Bon had. He was just at the right place at the right time, and he is blessed. Hope he's around 4 another 30yrs. ACDC Rox

@PillowMethod yes i completly agree with you, all i was saying is that Brian has just as much right to sing those songs as Bon did, because its an AC/DC song, but i believe Brian has way more power in his voice, he can just get your head bobbing and get everybody in a room rocking, Bon could do the same but i dont get the same feeling while listening to Bon, not that i dont love his voice Ride on and night prowler are 2 of my favs, But Brian gets me pumped

No other song fits Bon as this one, hes great in loud moments, but he is just fantastic with his calm voice. The lyrics are perfect too.

I think about mr. Scott every time when I hear "Ride On", I think it's hes best song, not cos it's best AC/DC song, but because NO ONE can perform it as PERFECTLY as Bon.

I like Brian's voice but it's too powerful for this, and while technically Evan's vocals are the smoothest, Scott's voice works the best for this. He has a fragility, and character to his voice that makes it work the best.

I would have loved to have heard Scott sing 'Hail Caesar'.
