  • shame to see how T.O. ended up

  • what song is that?

  • @greendayusa11 They're gonna lose to the patriots at the super bowl!!!

  • GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @greendayusa11 go listen to good riddance after the patriots are done with the giants :P

  • WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TONIGHT??!!!!

  • This is exactly what came to my mind when I saw davis catch that ball. It looked just like this

  • I called it the catch III as soon as I saw the catch

  • This was at a time before Terrell Owens became the very cocky T.O.

  • OWENS. OWENS.OWENS.OWENS!!!!!

  • the catch 3 is better

  • My man.....................

  • that catch shoud have never even taken place...there was a blatant fumble by rice before this tha wouldve have given the pack the ball but the refs made a bad call....this was before instant replay.GB won this game...the refs gave it to the 9ers.

  • @duckjockey10 Oh shut it, Packer Boy.

  • @duckjockey10 Not like the packers haven't had the refs giving them calls all year this season, AND .... wait for it.... they still lost! lol. I guess they stopped making bribes..... I mean insurance payments to the refs.....

  • owens, jerry rice, and steve young all on the same team? Sex

  • damn i get chills every time i watch this. Great commentary by Joe Starkey, i miss that man's vocie.

  • Damn. I never realized T.O. was that old :P

  • 0:44 owens but gets squeezed by rice lol (^^^)

  • All the catches were in 3rd down

    The Catch l: 3rd & 3

    The Catch ll: 3rd& ?

    The Catch lll: 3rd& 3

  • @MegaHamad123

The Catch II was 3rd and 3 as well..

  • Packers suck!!!!!!!! But that was a pretty good throw!

  • Catch IV: Against the Pats, soon to be check

  • That ball could not have been thrown any more perfect.

  • i like how steve young stumbled back.. that made this iconic moment that much epic

  • Fuckin Awesome

  • Joe Starkey was a great game caller!

  • Hell yeah so happy for yesterday's game.

  • this gives me goosebumps

  • ha I think the announcer and #41 at 0:30 were thinking the same thing

  • Darren Sharper! The hardest hitting safety in da league!!!

  • @BChoung94 Roman Harper! The Latest hiting safey in da league!!! sorry i had to make that joke

  • @PanthervsRams2004 hahahaha it's cool man I'm still in shock that we're hosting the NFC Championship game, this is too cool

  • @BChoung94 yeah you dont have to face the packers, and you face a team you already beat in the regular season (giants), good luck

  • that wasnt darren sharper stupid

  • @buggcuzz yeah it was #42,that was Darren Sharper Sharper was drafted by the Pack around 95-97

  • DAVIS DAVIS DAVIS! HE CAUGHT IT HE CAUGHT IT!!!!!

  • Lol at the mini celebration at 0:29

  • He was never humble

  • Remember the time when T.O. was humble?

  • jerry rice fumbled.

  • greatness

  • Too bad Jerry Rice fumbled the ball away right before this play and the refs incorrectly ruled him down.

  • @bhanx23

    TRUE!

  • The Catch III, but Vernon Davis wants it to be called "The Grab" . There's a first for everything..

  • @182Burritos hell yeah

  • Same endzone today, if im not mistaken. and then davis runns over to haurbauh just like TO to mooch crying

  • HELL YES VERNON DAVIS' CATCH THE MOST AMAZING EVER I WAS FLIPPING OUT!!!

  • Catch I: Against Cowboys. Check.

    Catch II: Against Packers. Check.

    Catch III: Against Saints. Check.

  • @182Burritos Catch IV: Against Giants...

  • @182Burritos Include The Comeback (Garcia erases 38-14 gap against NY Giants)

  • @182Burritos BRING ON THE GIANTS

  • @hamsandwich20 Indeed

  • @182Burritos Catch IV Against Giants gonna be the next check

  • @182Burritos All at the Stick, Bill Walsh was there for the Catch III just didnt see him

  • VD!

  • the catch?? more like the throw! first Young gets stepped on by the center and stumbles backwards, then throws a rope about 35 yards into a 'Pack' of 5 Packers!!

  • That just happened again today! Crazy!

  • @isaacbrown09 Same reaction.....just a great day to be a Niner! Who's got it better than us????

  • @jejesdad The Cowboys!! GO COWBOYS!! LOL.. I know I can't talk right now, but what the heck.

  • I mean Owens

  • The Catch III VERNON DAVIS! Let's GO NINERS!

  • Alex Smith to Vernon Davis!!

  • Holy shit DeJa Vu! Smith to Davis, and that nigga starting crying just like Rice! lulz

  • @AdamOKC Rice?

  • @182Burritos Yah, I done goofed. lol, I meant Owens

  • @AdamOKC Haha you're good brother. I saw that you fixed it. My bad.

  • it happened again!!!

  • SMITH TO DAVIS! AGAIN!!! CATCH 3!!

  • SMITH TO DAVIS

    THE CATCH III.

  • @oilpats17 Here we go again! Go San Fran!

  • @oilpats17 500,000 49er fans had the exact same thoughts. This could be huge.

  • @oilpats17

    CAN YOU FEEL CANDLESTICK!?!?!?!

  • @oilpats17 Definitely. No question AT ALL about that.

  • Just like back in the day

  • This is the catch that made Owens famous, in my opinion. Unfortunately, no one seems to remember that Owens was completely stone hands in this entire game before this moment. If he'd have caught anything else thrown his way throughout, this play would never have been necessary. I remember watching this live, and being so excited that they had won, but even more excited that Owens actually managed to hold on to it.

  • This happened when I was 11 and to this day I think it was the most elated have ever felt about anything ever. We were watching it in public and I just lost my mind dancing and screaming all over the place.

  • 9 people are packer fans

  • I, personally am a Ravens fan, but I would love to see the 49ers in the superbowl.

  • Fuck the packers!!

  • I really miss that uniform, they should go back to it

  • @Meko5 he changed from them only 2 years ago and we suck with them on.............

  • @Meko5 same here dude, it's my favorite one. They should go back to it.

  • The Packers still had a 4-1 advantage in the playoffs against the Niners from 1995-2003.

  • was this a regular season game or playoffs?

  • @PhoenixTomislav Wild Card Round of the 1998 playoffs.

  • I miss Joe starky :(

  • @reggiefavre Your name says it all cheesedick

  • Owes made the catch an packer fans still going to hate saying the ref or blah blah its a clear catch

  • That ayat no catch2 lol. Not a championship game. therefore it does not qualify

  • Darren Sharper, one of the hardest hitting safeties in the league!

  • @tedfromwi This commentary doenst even make sense in this video

  • @IXxXMateosXxXI You don't make sense.

  • Did a Packer defender hit Owen's hands cuz it looked like he was in pain after the catch

  • @rocketperson1234 No, he was just extremely happy and was just rolling around on the ground just because he can.

  • Bring Ownens home for the playoff!

  • screw the packers. 49ers FtW

  • remember this game. listened on the radio while hunting

  • Who gives a shit? Good catch, but the play never really should have happened. Jerry Rice fumbled earlier that drive, but since he is the greatest of all time, the refs let him off with an incompletion. Bullcrap ending to a game that the packers had won.

  • @reggiefavre stop hating bro

  • @adambulldogs34 not hating. I just hate to see bad fuckups by the refs change the outcome to the games. At least after this happened they realized how important replay reviews are.

  • "HE CAUGHT IT HE CAUGHT IT!!!! 25 YARD TOUCHDOWN PASS!!!"

i wish all commentators were that enthusiastic, they sound so boring now.

  • Then Terrell turned into a fuckin' piece of shit clown after this, hopefully his career's done and I don't ever have to hear those two goddamn letters together ever again. Fuck off Terrell.

  • worst personell move niners ever make was getting rid of TO,one of my favorite niners and i go back to Gene Washington

  • as a packer fan, being about 10 years old,......this was just flat out devastating

  • @wenz91890 same here man

  • When I was watching this I was almost sure TO would turn out as great as Jerry Rice. Then Again, I was only 7.

  • UNFORGETTABLE

  • The NFL wouldn't consider that a catch now because he was holding it with his elbows. They would've said he "didn't complete the process" or some crap. The NFL is honestly the worst its ever been, and we'll never get back to the glory days of the 90s.

  • @TheVisigoth At least learn the rules before you complain about them.

  • Greatest call i have ever heard...

  • prolly not hightechboss1, prolly not

  • Back when TO cared.

  • Jerry Rice fumbled the ball.

  • THIS IS WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN IN THE PLAY-OFFS AGAINST THESE CHEESEHEADS AGAIN ...THE CATCH #3 !!! yee!!!!!

  • @hightechboss1 nope

  • @hightechboss1 To Michel Crabtree to

  • @hightechboss1 Totally "The CATCH III "

  • @hightechboss1 make that the Catch IV

  • Thank you, Joe Starky for making this call AMAZING!

  • only TO could make a catch in traffic take the hit and still get the touchdown..smh cant believe no ones even attempted to sign him..

  • I remember that game, after words Terrel Owens couldnt stop thanking Steve Young for not giving up on him, earlier in the Owens had drope 3 passes i think it was.

  • I wonder how much Goodell would fine Packers 42 for that hit.

  • I cried. I cried.

  • 5 people like the packers :D

  • @MisTakeNSforZa what losers ;)

  • Someone please tell me the name of this song!!!

  • This kind of stuff could happen again...

  • WE'RE BACK BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 49ers VS Packers NFC champion that will be good

  • god i remember this moment!! i was just a little 49er obsessed kid. what a play

  • 5 dislikes= the five defenders that covered TO on that play

  • best wildcard game ever. I was like wtf. in traffic. In between 4. Amazing. This is the play that made TO, TO.

  • It's not often that you see a QB throw into quintuple coverage and make it work. That throw could not have been any better (and props to Young for having the balance to keep himself upright after nearly tripping after the snap).

  • WAS That superbowl

  • 0:49 its danny tanner

  • i cant tell at :30 did he catch it?

  • Remember watching this with my family. Must have been 8 years old when this happened. To this day its one of my favorite childhood memories. Niners faithful forever.

  • I remember watching this game. TO had dropped a couple of passes, and for him to catch the game winning TD and Steve Young to still have faith that his receiver would make the catch was amazing.

  • I was 13 years old. I almost cried.

  • I remember this as being the very first football game that I went to. It was amazing! I was only 11 years old, but I had been into football since preschool. Lol, remember some random grown ass man hugging me while screaming and jumping up and down when T.O. caught that pass.

Also met some celebs. I met Lou Rawls who I believe sang the national anthem that game. I met Tommy Davidson who was cool as shit! And I met Nia Long, who seems like she was being bothered when I asked for her autograph.

  • @WoodChippa That's because that was a 49ers announcer, each teams have their own announcers to call the games for radio and game broadcasts on certain channels. This game was actually called by Pat Summerall and Madden.

  • @GibsonElectricl he wasn't on the niners when we went to our fifth superbowl

  • Comment removed

  • @GibsonElectricI Just a heads up this play was 4 seasons after our last Super Bowl.

  • @Fresno49er damnit I am stupid sorry I was only 6 when this game was played didnt actually watch it

  • Go Niners!!!

  • Go Niners ! Baby wohoooooo we are backkkkkkkkk

  • % people covering him. Insane.

  • this has to be one of Joe Starkey's BEST Radio calls right up there with "The Play"

  • Good thing they didn't have instant replay, because Rice fumbled the ball earlier and this play might not have ever happened.

  • i remember watching this game, i was jumping up and down in my bedroom when he made the catch

  • @hancho1978 lol same, I ran around my house like 5 times lol.....we had finally conquered favre and the packers!!

  • @WoodChippa "STOCKLEY! DOWNNNN THE SIDELLLLINNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"

  • my first game at candlestick park. no joke... I'm hoping we'll see this stadium full just one last time before we move to the new one, please niner fans, do it for my childhood!

  • i'll take rathman over beasley anyday...

  • @WoodChippa this guy was radio

  • Still get goosebumps

  • When football wa sgreat and you didnt know what to expect. Now its nothing more than a bunch of over paid crybabies and fines for everything.

  • saw fred beasley celebrate there he was the shit best fullback in nfl history

  • @WoodChippa It's the niners radio announcer hence why is so excited

  • i was a little kid during this and i still remember..

  • @WoodChippa lol the tv announcers for the game were john madden and pat summerall

  • Great throw by the legendary Steve Young, great catch by T.O. After this game TO cried in Mooch's arms and thanked his teammates. There was once a time when he had passion and love for the game and his team.

  • @sftheletters Great point man, now hes just like everyone else, desperate for attention it really is too bad

  • This was the last great moment for the 49ners. I remember watching this as a kid and being so excited that i got to see this. But, after this it all went down hill. Steve Young got his concussion, garrison hearts shattered his ankle, and Terrel Owens broke some ribs from that catch. The packers were a fearsome foe that did alot of damage. The price of victory was high. We won against the packers that held us back for 5 years and beat them. To this day we see the cost of that victory.

  • TO and Randy Moss will go together in the HOF in the same year, nothing but classs

  • 00:25, THE BIRTH OF AN ASSHOLE.

  • T.O. ALL DAY COWBOYS FAN HERE AND A TERRELL OWENS FAN 2

  • wow thats not even a good TO cath... but that was the most perfectly thrown ball ive ever seen

  • @oldhippie6262 He got hit hard by both sides and held onto it thats why.

  • @iTzPRiMEz Pat Terrell #40 & Darren Sharper #42

  • steve young wishes he was as good as joe montana

  • lmao xD
