  • Just got these on Amazon for 75$, can't wait to get them!

  • he is right beats are overpriced.. there are better headphones out there with eaze.. and he is right about why people buy them to look cool. dont get me wrong they sound pretty good but there are better for a lot less!

  • @TheRage0180 Yeah the price of beats is mostly just to cover the looks.

  • :o im getting!

  • i was sold when i saw that u can fold them!

  • Great review man!

  • i get that same fuzzy noise from my skullcandy inkd, but only when i plug it into my computer. its still annoying though, am probably going to get these soon

  • DO THEY FIT AROUND YOUR NECK????

  • @ultimega13 yes.

  • i got beats by dre and they shit on anything sennheiser or bose make

  • @sinz187 lolz you got ripped off. You obviously know nothing about audio quality.

  • @Mrxb0x

Maybe he's not an expert, but he's giving his opinion and I think it's a very good review!

  • @sinz187 you have no idea about sound do you? beats = audio noob.

  • @sinz187 Your ignorance amazes me, but also amuses me because of how idiotic you sound.

  • @sinz187 I bet you begged mommy and daddy to buy them for you

  • @kylem2010GT I bet your family cant afford to get you beats

  • @sinz187 i'm sorry, but these are better headphone, it has flat sound. while beats are overpriced, they're shit

  • @johnchen0213 your a faggot

  • @sinz187 here's the fact:

1.you buy beats for design not music. Most people wear it to look cool.

    2. They're overpriced for sure

you're probably have a beat and you don't want to accept the fact that it's not THAT good for its price. It's fine, after all, you can show off with your 300$ beat headphone.

  • @johnchen0213 I paid $160 for my Beats Studio headphones. You telling me there's a better pair of headphones for $160 that look better, sound better and has as much name power as the Beats?

  • @sinz187 V-Moda Crossfade LP's "DO" sound better, they have a 5 - 30K frequency response *much better than that of the over emphasized bass and treble engineering on the Beat's* There is much more that the Crossfade's out perform in any of the Beat's other than "marketing the product" and personally I think that the Crossfade LP's look much more stylish than most of the Beats. But beyond all, most true "audiophiles" would choose V-Moda over a Beat's and that's a fact.

  • @sinz187 Dre Beats are a joke! I bout a pair of Sony MDR XB500 and walk all over the Beats and for half the price! $80 @ Best Buy! Good luck if you can find them anywhere! Do your self a favor kid... take'em back. Seriously, check out the reviews on Best Buy

  • @sinz187 "name power"? Dude, that just shows that you're a sheep that buys something because its cool, not because you want it. And as for the sound quality, Senheisers rape the beats headphones.

  • @sinz187 ,, you've gotta be retarted..

  • @aatefmagic not the ae2 over ear i have both of these and theyre both outstanding

  • I can hear my PS3 fan noise -- at iidle - with these headphones, I thought they were 32dB noise dampenders???

  • you look like Barrack.

  • I'm sold. I was gonna get a pair of HD 595s but they are open air design. These are cheaper and are closed air.

  • Woah... this headphone sounds amazing... planning to get them soon.. Ooohh I wanna ask, whats the difference between Sennheiser HD 280 PRO with Sennheiser HD 280 SILVER? Is compltely the same except for the colour and price? Reply me a.s.a.p. Thanks... :)

  • MAN you look like a young Obama!! but great review, and i think im gona get these, you convinced me. lol, and a question, do you still have them after all this time, and do they still work??

  • hey ur comment just make me decide to buy this headphone, they sounds awesome, especially im looking for sound isolation and good sound quality, my question is do u break in the headphone, if so how u do it

  • @aatefmagic coll thx man

  • @aatefmagic how about the isolation of noise, since i prefer a nice quiet environment to listen to

  • Okay this a very serious question, you can take this funny if you want it wont affect me or anything, but i have 3 to 4 inched sized ears, is there still gonna be a chance the cushions will overlaps my ears and cause me to get heated and bruised ears or headaches by wearing these headphones? most studio quality headphones or headphones with cushions do hurt me.

  • @JSonyMusik please get back to me soon, love the review ima sub and add you btw, and id really appreciate the help so thanks =)

  • 280 Pro's don't have noise cancellation?

  • @BlueDiamondSaver noise cancellation is the worst thing you can have on headphones, it comprimises completely the sound quality. the "noise cancellation" comes with the pads(cushions), can cancel up to 30 decibels.

  • WHERE DO YOU GET THE MONEY TO BUY SO MUCH HEADPHONES ?

  • hey im just wonder how long is the cord with the coiled part

    like unstretched out

  • @ShadowInfinityDragon It's about 6 feet, give or take...

  • when can you buy these?

  • Did they loosen up at all? I had a pair of sennheisers a while ago that sounded awesome but began too loosen and the cord broke :/ but best buy let me return them. They weren't the hd 280 but a lower quality, I think the 75$ ones. The head band was completely plastic so it began to stretch.

  • you look like a young obama

  • @Carmador haha xD i said the same on his other vid!

  • These don't have a ton of bass like those Monster Beats by Dr. Dre, but are made to have a flat response for monitoring and mixing music. If you want loud ass bass, get some beats or skull candy crap.

  • I have these headpones and they're amazing. You listen to your favorite songs and you hear things in them that you couldn't hear with your old headphones.

  • OMG, I got my HD280 today and the sound quality is AMAZING!!

Make sure you got a good sound card on your computer!!!!

    Now i using HD280 at home & PX100 when I travel.

  • hows the bass???

  • @Drock317 Accurate

  • soo would u recommend these for travel? im not worried about the size, but noise canceling wise?

  • @djsumara No I don't want overly bassy headphones I want ones that have a range that actually plays bass. The low end frequency of these headphones is nothing short of disappointing. The rest of the range is fantastic though. I use them for monitoring recording for sound effects so they work awesome. Not the headphones I would pick for music though. Maybe its just my personal preference but I have heard better bass out of 20 dollar sony headphones.

  • I own a pair of these. Sound great. Not very good to wear for more than 30 minutes. They lack low end, BADLY.

  • I owe these beauties for over 4 years, but plastic frame is weak and you will most likely have to repair them. Sound is still crystal and you'll never regret of this purchase if you going to deal with sound, not just listen to the music whereever you can. And don't forget, sealed design takes time to get used to

  • Yo! how long is the cord?

  • how much better are these then the skullcandy hesh?

  • @pagsmiley well say on a out of 10 rank skullcandy's best headphone is a 4 this is about 6.5

  • Thanks for the Great Review.. I think these are sold..!! Yea, I am supper fed up with Skullcandy's Durablity... Sending them away every other month and being without headphones!! thanks again

  • Ok, Imma Get Those Now!! ..

  • shit dude, how many headphones do you own?

  • I dont understand with headphone reviews. No one puts them on or hardly. Why?

  • this headphones are flat monitors, right? Like, good for mixing, master and editing?

  • @shredderwannabe

Mixing with headphones isn't a good idea because although you are taking the room out of the equation, you are putting two ears and a nice pair of headphones in. You're better off just using speakers.

  • Hey man, I just got my pair of these hd 280 pro's in the mail. How long does it take to break them in?

  • @TheGorgorothSpire I just got mine and they also feel way too snug. To the point of discomfort. Did yours break in at all?

  • @Brian7490 A lot of people have that complaint. I suppose I have a small head or something? Mine fits perfectly. Mine has breakin in a bit. Sounds really good

  • If you buy some, use amazon. They're cheaper there! :)

  • but if you do make sure they dont sent you hmd 280 because some people have had that problem

  • clean your room

  • I am planning on getting these for good music listening on my computer and on my D2+ $100 sounds reasonable for a good quality pair. I am just tired of my fucking skull candies...

  • good information. I just bought a pair of these and the dog got ahold of them and tore the ear cushion.

  • I just ordered a pair of these, this review made me feel pretty good about them.

  • @OneRadRudeboy but often the idea of burning in is debatable for different people and often people just leave their headphones plugged in overnight or heavy bass music or some people try sine waves at different frequencies

  • These are DJ Headphones made for HiFi's, producers, sound engineers - Not really for your ipod lol [think about it - the cable is so long - and its coiled - cos that fits the working environment] - Not for your f*cking mp3 player (:

  • @08CJ09 What if my D2+ sound quality is like 1000000X better than a shit ipod? Also I am curious how these will sound plugged in my Asus Xonar D2X (sound card)

  • @TearsOfWar1 it will sound standard - dont get me wrong these are very good headphones, Sennheiser are a superior headphone - forget skullcandy .. never buy that crap (:

  • @08CJ09 Okay so what soundcard Should I buy? Please don't say anything from creative....

  • and the bass???

  • the bass is lacking at the start but after about 100 hours of break in the bass gets fuller and a lot better

  • @spacematty1 I can confirm that these phones get better after 100+ hours of 'burning' them in

  • Hows the bass on these things? I heard its lacking.

  • I highly recommend those headphones. The sound is very clear and tha bass is intensive.

  • im getting these for a 6.5 hr flight to san francisco

  • Skullcandy are sooo bad. They're a fucking gimmick aimed at younger people I think. Sennheiser HD 280 ftw.

  • are these headphones bass, or the surround sound type

  • @metalheadneji

I noticed that music sounds flat. Not really bassy. Pretty flat across the board.

  • i've had my pair of 280s for about 5 years. they've been packed in boxes, sat on floors, desks, been dropped, and they still look brand new, still sound amazing. One thing i don't like is the pressure. I don't have a wide head but they can start to feel tight after about 30 minutes.. feels good to take em off midway through a movie for a 5 minute break or so. Music sounds way better on these than through a decent pair of monitor speakers w/sub.

  • My skullcandy headphones broke, paid same price for the hd280's, jus searched this vid randomly, my skullcrusgers makes a weird rattle noise. lost my reciept so cant get them fixed , so lookin forward to gettin the hd280's on monday thanks for the vid

  • Thanks!

  • how are sennheisers rated?

  • Sennheiser specializes in headphones. It is like Bose in terms of marketing. CNET gives these headphones a four star rating, and customer reviews are mostly positive.

  • @captc502 No... microphones.

  • Sorry, I shouldn't say stuff like that without knowing what I am talking about. Thank you.

  • theyre crazy awesome, they got 4.5/5

and youll get laid with them

  • hey im looking for good headphones for listening to rap around 100$ any suggestions?

  • well, you're looking at a video with headphones right at that price...

  • @DLAK3 and can they block the sound of my drums when i do drum covers of songs

  • thanks for the review!!! its awesome

    just a quick question

does it need an adapter to work with 1st gen iphone which features a notorious recessed jack?

  • why don't u tidy up ur room before going public?

  • SmileWidePro can these be used with a ipod touch 2G without the need for an amp?

  • any headphone can be used without an amp. an amp just makes them sound better and louder.

  • @ps2stony

yes, those that are higher impedance, can't be well-driven by portable players therefore, they almost require a headphone amp if you intend to listen to the headphones to their fullest potential then an amp is required. it is like buying a porsche and putting regular gas into it.

  • i got these for christmas and i thought the sound quality was terible. Absolutly NO BASS. They sound no better than earbuds. All highs no lows.

they do have good build quality and sound isolation, but no freakin bass. They suck..unless your useing them in a studio. DONY BUY

  • @3e6567pw u need to let them burn in. if u don't then the true sound doesn't show it self.

  • @3e6567pw You dumbass, these headphones are meant for monitoring not for casual listening.

  • Comment removed

  • @Monokster dont call me a dumbass asshole. I said they suck, except for use in a studio, ie sound monitoring

the kid in the video is portraying them like there good for causal listening wich there not. Ill try to be more clear next time, since you dutch are a bit stupid.

  • @3e6567pw rotfl

  • @3e6567pw

you should check out sennheiser hd465 or hd485 if you want something with more bass.

  • a Very compitant review, helped alot.

    Thank you

  • Excellent set of headphones. I'm not an audiophile but if you want a pair of headphones that has a lot of bang for the buck, get these. It sounds like you are literally there with certain songs. They're great, and so is the review.

  • THANK YOU for the review, very helpful

  • I assumed that closed or opened headphones meant that it closed around your ears... but there are open headphones that close around your ears too. What does closed and opened headphones mean?

Anyway these look like the headphones to me. My BIGGEST pet peeve is the background white noise that you hear with most headphones in quiet moments. This guy's review says they don't do that.

  • Open headphones sound more open and natural, sometimes it sounds like the music is being performed in your room. It's preferred. If you're out on a walk or in a noisy environment, closed headphones are the way to go. They sound worse though, like the music is played inside a can while you're in the can yourself.

  • hey, you should do a review of the hd 455 sennhisers. Their a little bit older. And their from the expression line.

  • well, thumps up for HD280, theyre great for their price, really a good pair of closed headphones. but remember, people who know just a bit about headphones will stop taking you seriously when you start talking about bose as good headphones

  • lol what u said about bose is so true, i hate how overhyped they are. skullcandy fans piss me off too

  • @phuphroo skullcandys are for hipsters who like to look cool but don't care so much for sound.

  • @OneRadRudeboy in otherwords, tools. skullcandies dont even look that cool, they look like poorly made plastic.

  • @phuphroo don't even get me started on skull candy fans, they are the shittiest fucking crappy sound quality, rubbish build quality ughh there just horrible, everyone thinks there awesome just because "they look good" there terrible, senheisser are my favourite, because they are affordable, brilliant sound quality and really professional

  • @ChingPongHow Skullcandy is overpriced crap I agree, I bought a pair not long ago and wow what a waste, there was no bass at all even while listening to hip hop and they broke within a year because of the poor quality build, now I have these ones and they're perfect for the price... i don't regret buying the Sennheiser HD280 Pros.

they aren't funky looking like some of the higher end cans out there but the high sound quality and durability of these headphones is all you're really paying for.

  • @phuphroo skullcandy are no match to Bose,Sennheiser, Ultrastone, Shure and stuff

  • @phuphroo skullcandy is pure quality!! This is factory made shit from china wow skullcandy is MADE for music!!!!! -jk!!-*Disclaimer- skullcandy blows

  • hey i' looking into getting either the sennheiser 212's or 280 pros. i know the 212s have amazing bass but the 280's have great all around sound. any suggestions?

  • HD280 produces a flat sound. However it responds well to equalization. So just amp ump the 60 - 80Hz range a bit and you are all set.

  • anyone know how long the wires are for these cans? i'm looking into this one and i don't want to carry it around if it has like a ten foot cord or something.

  • It is long enough to be used at home, so they are not inteded for carrying around. The coiled wire helps a lot if you need even more room to move. Still, the wire is intended clearly for close quarters monitoring and listening.

  • can they go into a computer?

  • yup

  • Yes.

  • can you be more ignorant?

  • Hmmm, ignorant AND stupid? Your gene pool really did fuck you over for life.

  • thanks dude for review

  • $100, makes me sad. I'm ready to pay £80 best price I can find UK, bastards. Cool review, made my mind up now.

  • i have a question, do they leak sound? i want to use them at home and when walking and stuff, without disturbing everyone else around me.

  • My friend has a pair and they don't leak sound too much, I wouldn't expect them to because they are closed.

  • Probably not, since they are a closed design and seem to be built for portability. You could probably listen to them in a library at a reasonable sound level without others hearing. A kid at my school has the HD202s and I can never hear what he's listening to unless he's wearing them around his neck.

    I wouldn't worry about it.

  • Well, I would say that if others can hear your music too, you will probably lose your hearing in about an hour anyway. So no, with normal, or above normal volumes no-one can hear the music, and you cant hear anyone else speaking to you either.

  • Thanks for this review!

  • why do u have so many headphones?

  • bought it, great review. you tell the truth, "keep it real"...tech companies should allow you to sample and review electronics.

  • Thanks a lot man!! I´m gonna buy these!

  • Sennheiser make the best headphones in my personal opinion, well built and sound amazing.

  • How much do these cost?

  • are these good for ipods?

  • They're studio monitor headphones, so they have a flat response, which is good for mixing and mastering music. If you want headphones for general listening purposes you should probably check out Sennheiser's audiophile series.

  • If your looking for good ipod speakers, try the Sennheiser CX300. There pretty cheap and sound amazing with your ipod or any MP3 player.

Only downside is that there not the best durability wise, but they are portable afterall.

  • They have low imepdance so you should be able to get a high volume with your ipod.

  • good review, mann I can't wait to get my set of sennheisers, PXC 350's baby !!!!

  • Which do you prefer for sound quality and comfort? Bose or these?

  • Nice review. If I get a job I might pick them up.
