  • Björk move over I have a new love!

  • she's just magic aint she

  • This is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs I have heard in a very long time, I wish I knew what she was singing about! Anyone able to translate this superb song into english?

  • Traumhaft schön die Melodie!

  • Great song, great vocals.

Some of you should never comment on anything. You don´t qualify.

Færeyjar, Fjáreyjar belong to Danmark just to clarify, but not by choice.

Same was with Iceland, sold by Norway to Denmark in 1262 for 2 limping horses, and 300 pounds of cheese. Back to point children, if you do not know the song or what it is about,

don´t comment. The easiest way to make yourself look stupid is to comment on something you know NOTHING about.

  • Fantastic

  • She singing the Icelandic song of frozen roses (frostrósir) that long time ago came on your window and waiting for her boyfriend from the sea in the middle off the night. She is just acting and her feelings is at most. Just lovely!

  • I have no words to describe what she makes me feel...tack Eivør!

  • Maby she is not used to have fake eyelaches.... that's why her eyes where like they where having an orgasm..

  • she looks a bit baked in the closeups^^

    nevertheless great music!

  • @professionalkillergk Isn't colonialism wonderful?

  • Got the CD now. Apparently the song (both words and music) is written by the Icelandic composer Freymódur Jóhannson.

  • Jeg elsker Eivør! Som en islandsk gutt, hun gjører sanget bedre. Det er bare bedre med ei kvinne.

  • Eivor is incredible! She has a natural and amazing gift!

  • her face makes me LOL, but she's amazing.

  • Love it - the style (and orchestral arrangement) has got a flavour of Kurt Weil about it - but sounds Russian too. BUT WHAT IS IT(title and composer please) and the language is Icelandic Yes? She is outstanding. And what a Stage Presence! I don't think you'd mess with her though. Mighty Nordic Diva !! But are Pharoes - Nordic?

  • @jezkn she's singing in Icelandic yes. And Faroese people are Nordic.

  • @MiaMountainLover Thanks for this. But do you know what the piece is called and who is the composer? It's fantastic.

  • @jezkn And the Faroe Islands are Danish :)

  • @Gremling15 No, The Faroe Islands are Faroese

  • @professionalkillergk

    They are Danish property!

  • @Gremling15 Fuck you

  • @Gremling15 What do you mean by that?

  • @professionalkillergk faroe islands are a properthy of denmark !

  • @perkele181 Go fuck yourself

  • @perkele181 No they most certainly are not. Why you write such filth here is beyond me...Get a grip will you!

  • @Gremling15, esti un bou!

  • @Gremling15 The Faroe Islands are Faroese. Get that through your fucking head!

  • She is an unbelievable performer - I was lucky enough to see her live in Akureyri, Iceland at a fairly small gig and she was brilliant! The band too. She is only 27!!! Do check out more of her stuff - some is quite experimental, especially the latest album, Larva.

  • What about the melody here? Who is the composer? Isn't this originally a Russian melody (or something)?

  • @sigmundmelberg its written by Icelandic composer- Freymódur Jóhannson.

  • er hettar ikki frostrósur?

    ella havi eg tiki feil?

  • @Ladypurpulhair no the name of the song is frostrósir, it's a very old song about love and death

  • @ottlika hun? thas what I said <.< isent this song cald frostrósur? I DOO understand islandic so I know whats its about thank you (:

  • @Ladypurpulhair Hún hélt örugglega að þú værir að tala um jólatónleikana sem kallast frostrósir.

    thank you (=

  • Music: Freymóður Jóhannsson ((12. september 1895 – 3. mars 1973) Lyrics: Freymóður Jóhannson Þú komst til að kveðja í gær. Þú kvaddir, og allt varð svo hljótt. Á glugganum frostrósin grær. -Ég gat ekki sofið í nótt. Hvert andvarp frá einmanna sál, hvert andvarp frá einmanna sál, hvert orð, sem var myndað án hljóms, nú greinist sem gaddfreðið mál í gervi hins lífvana blóms.

  • Hello. i would like to know what language she is singing. Is it Faeroese or Icelandic?

    Thank you so much

  • She is faeroese but she is singing in Icelandic

  • she is singing in icelandic, but she is from FaroeIslands

  • Icelandic. She lives in Iceland now. The languages are quite close, the pronounciation differs quite much.

  • Evör lived in Iceland for many years and speaks Icelandc fluently. She moved from Iceland to Denmark a few years ago. Now she is back to the Faroe Islands. Eivor is highly esteemed as an artist in Iceland. Icelanders love her. She is a frequent guest here. Last night she appeared in a TV show called "Logi í beinni". Sha sang two Faroese songs and was interviewed.

  • Vakre!

  • Don't understand a word, but I love it. Eivor is the best!

  • I think the same but she`s awesome!

    Greetings from Peru!

  • marvelous
