  • Lol I like how tons of the comments are references to the Disney version. =)

  • Oh man, this part...

The eyes in the chimney. To this day they haunt me ever so.

  • This part in the Disney version freaked me out immensely.

  • ma daiii xD la disney le ha prese tutte da lui u.u

  • @twiLover98Xd No! Sleeping Beauty!

  • uy, manifestación clara de mi torpeza: no lo has subido tú:)

  • una tontería: me llamo Rosa y parecía que ese "no toques nada , nada" iba por mi torpeza habitual. me hizo gracia.

de paso, gracias por colgar esta música

  • Rosa, no toques nada, nadaa, nadaaa...XD

  • @MausoloSri

  • Who the heck disliked this?

  • @CelloRosin The idiots who are obsessed with justin bieber I believe!!!! Or people who apparently don't have a heart for classical music!!!!!!

  • @TheViolaplaya I love Tchaikovsky, but that's about it. I'm not a big fan of classical, nor Bieber for that matter (but according to you, I am!) although I can appreciate it. I think it's rather immature to resort to the insulting other musical tastes simply because they don't like classical music or a specific classical piece. I'm aware that there's the "classical snobs" stereotype out there; I'm sure no classical music fan appreciates it, but your shots do not make it better on them.

  • Why the fuck is Justin Bieber mentioned on every YouTube video.

  • @sleepytimejesse you just mentioned him on a Tchaikovsky video.... OFF WITH THEIR HEAD!

  • @sleepytimejesse

I'd like to ask you the same question.

  • What instrument is that at 1:16 ? Sounds like a clarinet or an obey..

  • @PanthereMauV clarinet

  • @PanthereMauV That's a clarinet at 1:16.

  • its too godman short.

  • World of Illusion

  • I now have an urge to yell 'TOUCH THE SPINDLE! TOUCH IT I SAY!'

  • Used to have many nightmares about this scene and music xD

  • Perrrfectly performed. I'm paying attention to the Philadelphia Orchestra from now on!

  • I just got chills :)

  • This is what evil sounds like. I find this piece really chilling, it's so nuanced and tautly sinister. Tchaikovsky, what atmosphere you create!

  • yes tempt me you witch you already took riku :(

  • Generic Comment Referring To The Disney Film To Get A Thumbs Up

  • Its hilarious... in the ballet two cats are playing around, often called 'puss in boots', in the film, Maleficent (my top villainess of all time) is luring Aurora towards the spinning wheel :)

  • beautiful :)

  • Weird how so many of y'all associate this with some baddie luring a princess into a trap, when in the ballet, this scene is just two cats dancing together. Nothing sinister, just two cats having a little dance.

  • Where can i get this download i cannot find it anywhere !! can someone please help?!??! xoxo

  • 1:21 touch the spindle! touch as I say!!!!

  • 2 People were obviously cursed by Maleficent.

  • OHHHHHH THIS is where its from.....little did I know another well known piece turns out 2 be a composer people never heard about. When we here a song on t,v some people go oh thats the song from sleeping beauty. We go no thats Tchikovsky's Sleeping beauty Ballet Op. 66 A to be exact =D

  • Who are those 2 people who dislike this?? It's beautiful, mysterious...

  • ooooooooooooo this is so sinister. this is the part where maleficent lures aurora into a trap

  • Many nights without sleeping because of that piece...

  • This piece was what made the scene so scary for me as a kid. It's funny if he had chosen even one different instrument over the brilliant timbre combination he has, it wouldn't be as bone chilling as it is. Brilliant!

  • rose,rose don't touch anything,anything!!

  • I am just about to go see the ballet. Greetings from Estonia!

  • I am one of the most scared people that you will ever hear of. 5 words, WAY TO MUCH SCARY MOVIES!!!! My parents won't let me watch anymore because I'm so chicken! I had to pause this thing 12 seconds through because it was to scary! I am NOT kidding! I am DEAD serious! XD

  • My favorite piece from Sleeping Beauty. Such a haunting and chilling piece. This is a classic.

  • John Carpenter's Halloween theme

Ennio Morricone's Humanity - The Thing title theme

    more but I can't remember...

  • "You poor simple fools, thinking you could defeat me! ME!!! The Mistress of all Evil!!!! Well here's your precious princess!!!! MuahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!"

  • It is the words of Maleficent, isn't it??

I'm Japanese and I also remenber this scene of Disny's Video.

When i watched this video for the first time (i was 3 or 4), I was so scared.

Of course it was in Japanese so now i'm happy how it was in English.

  • @SforzandoFilms HAHAHAHAHA...

  • I think I can safely say this is one of the most haunting tunes I've ever heard.

  • BEST DISNEY PRINCESS STORY EVER. Tchaikovsky...dude rules

  • OH MY GOSH THIS IS THE PART!!!!!!! i was just listening to the others and this was the last and i wasn't really expecting to hear it and then i froze!!!!!!!!! its the part when she's going up the tower!! i love it!!!

  • this song reminds me when i watched "The Sleeping Beuaty" by Disney! :) the part the princess pricked her finger on a Spinning Wheel and die! :P crazy, but i like this song...

  • that would be because tchaik wrote this piece for that scene! before the movie was even made! lol! isn't it cool!!!!!???

  • This encourage me to begin my writting n my script, on my dream to perform this on stage! Broadway or another scene... HERE I COMEEE!!!

  • @DinaxD Do it! Don't give up! If you set your mind to it, it will happen! I'm so excited for you!

  • The scene donde el gato con botas y la gata blanca bailan Puss-in-Boots & the White Cat are dancing itsquite funny and lovely to see all the characters of Charles Perrault (the author of sleeping beauty) dancing for Aurora who after 100 years just woke up it's brilliant when I saw the ballet I was so happy with this scene n right after these cats tge princess Fiorina and the blue bird along with caperusita roja dance its incredible AMAZING MUSIC DEAR TCHAICOVSKY YOU ARE THE BEST ALWAYS

  • I love this music. It's so cool!!!

  • 'The scene with this music where aurora is hypnotised through the dark passage is awesome.'

--> Oh, yes. This scene is so gloomy. I'm not a young girl any more but the moment when green eyes appear in the fireplace still makes me feel uncomfortable. Malificent has to be one of the most scary dark characters ever. And the music - ohhh creapy as well.

  • Those glowing eyes still haunt me whenever I think of the film. The music had a large part in it though. That whole moment just plays on the human fear of unconsciously being watched by someone.

So simple, yet one of the most intense and haunting scenes in any Disney film.

  • Rose!!Don' touch anything!!

  • Touch the Spindle. Touch I Say!!

  • Touch the Spindle Touch It I Say!!

  • this is an awesome piece of music, and I like the apothesis as well =]

  • I love this piece. I was one of those strange kids who liked bad guys in moves so maleficent was one of my favourites. The scene with this music where aurora is hypnotised through the dark passage is awesome.

  • @ozwog84 Maleficent was the first film character I remember feeling a sexual attraction towards.

  • @ozwog84 Yes, a memorable scene.

  • yes great music very well suited for the classic disney film sleeping beauty

  • when I watch this part of the movie I alwas got shivers ;-)

  • which version

  • disney one ;D when the green light appears and the sleeping beauty follows it upstairs

  • i've never seen either version i have to get it
