  • Ever wondered how this footage was filmed???

I mean, it's the 70's, video camcorders was not widely used or even not used at all at these times

    or what??

  • It's a rare performance about final of this song.

    Beautiful !!!

  • I'm a little confused about the title of your post... it can not be the DSOTM tour when "Shine on you crazy diamond" was on "Wish you were here" which came out after DSOTM... I'm just sayin'....

  • @gsisola You're absolutely right!

  • jazz people

  • Anything my hero Tullycast favorites I must play. 5 stars from me with humble gratification.

  • OMG great video I love the spinning blueish thing they have going there!

  • There have been many deaf musicians - Evelyn Glennie one of the most famous.

Whatever, this is another fabulous Floyd piece

  • this is awesome

  • David rule. Perfect song

  • and, btw, is roger waters really tone deaf? I heard some stories about it...

  • of course not, do you think that a tone deaf can make music like Money, or get this good at playing bass?

  • Errr.... Mozart was totally deaf, and he did what he did, just in case you didn't know.

  • Ehm...probably you intended Beethoven. He was deaf, not Mozart:-))

  • I guess you mean beethoven, cus mozart was never deaf, and yeah, i know he was deaf. But that was only in the last time of his life. before that he could hear as good as anybody else. Now i have realised that Waters accualy IS partially tonedeaf, so´what i said before was wrong. If i made someone angry, sorry :)

  • Actually he's partially tone deaf, so he has some difficulty staying in tune while singing.. But SOYCD is a difficult song to sing anyway

  • it was great...

  • WOW..what a gem!

  • The '75 tour was not the DSOTM tour, it was the wish you were here tour....

  • i always thought waters is kind of a dick

but hes Roger Fucking Waters, he can do whatever he wants. wrote and created some of the best music in history

  • Actually the best songs from Pink Floyd come when ALL members write or contribute to the piece. Except Animals. Good Songs but Roger had already had the songs he wanted and the rest of the band just played.

  • you´re right ..up to animals.

because dogs and sheeps ("gotta be crazy" and "raving and drooling") were formerly written by David and later changed by Roger.

imo much more than just played.

  • accualy, Gilmour and Wright wrote the mist of the music while Roger wrote the lyrics

  • best band ever, best song ever, of all time!!!!

  • you rock

  • fantastic clip.., but waters dont really hit the note.. too bad..

  • Roger is off pitch a lot. Must be why he wore headphones during The Wall and on. Probably couldn't hear for shit after playing with Syd.

  • Waters is tone def but even so great singer and musician on those years. Peace.

  • well david silmour said it himself that he had no trouble staying in tune but couldnt reach high notes ...and roger no trouble raching high notes...but had trouble keeping in tune...

  • im sorry...i meant gilmour...DAMN KEYBOARD!!

  • R.I.P.---Rick Wright

  • My heart is filled with emotion, Roger knows how to speak to me.

  • my two favorite pink floyd songs are echoes parts 1+2 and shine on you crazy diamond(all the parts). pink floyd is the best band ever.

  • comfortably numb rules!! best solo ever! ;-D

  • the best band of the world!

  • It is Pink Floyd best song. I love it

  • All i can say is THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • These were the good days for music. It is an irony that we can now watch, in digital format, the death of the best analog musical art. Things change, some for good, some for bad. I miss the vinyl even while I enjoy the digital.

  • That's deep.

  • @Knowmansoul

    True.

But now you can hear the classic albums

in the original quad surround sound. Only Dark side is officially

released on sacd and sounds awesome. I also have

animals and wish in original quad sounds. Back then you had to see

them live to hear the songs as they supposed to be. Can download

the vinyl versions at 24-bit/96kHz quality. I still like the quad versions more.

  • I suddenly feel cold... Must be the goosebumps.

  • Excelent footage man, thanks for posting !!! Floyd is music.

  • Gorgeous..rare footage. And yes, it does sound like the "put on a gown that touches the ground" part of "See Emily Play" at 4:35 or so.

  • Saw this show in April 75 at Gerry Park Stadium, Ticket cost $10. 40,000 went. Thought show opened the tours (?).Played Meadle, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here. Great Concet.

    Comments

  • Saw it in LA at the Sports Arena. Awesome show.

  • Oh man!!! GREAT JAM IN BETWEEN!!!

  • this is much more than music... this is epic!

  • isn't that a tribute to "see emily play" at 4.40 circa?

  • Yeah but more to Syd

  • your pink floyd vids rule tpatgod2007

    Thanks

  • great!

  • great video

  • fuck i wish i could see pink floyds 71-77 concert...especially 77s in the flesh tours!!!

  • This is great stuff man ,, Respect!!!

  • Thank you for uploading this... We really need to get the new world nowadays to start listening to this stuff. I'm sure if people gave it a chance, had access, we could take over music!

  • This is the first live 75 footage I have seen.

  • Theres a version of echoes from this period, with sax, has anyone got it.

  • there are many mate...try this concert for a really good recording of echoes and sax Pink Floyd - 1975-04-26 - Millard Tape,Sports Arena,Los Angeles,California,USA

  • Hey mate, do you reckon any better recording of saucer full of secrets song then the immortal one on Live at Pompeii or is that the holy grail of live versions of that song

  • Shine on Syd!

  • I love this song but i hate the verse in this version, Waters cant sing in tune at all in this. That transition at about 3:30 with the synth and the guitar is incredible though.

  • great sound and haunting gilmour guitar!

  • nice post man

  • Saw this show at the old Spectrum in Philly June 1975.

A lot of excellent shows that summer at the Spectrum. Everybody was there. Great memories. Thanks tpatgod for posting.

  • what an amazing find!

  • regarding my comment never mind i looked at your videos, thanx for this =]

  • haha thanx for this, this was good do you have any more, im always looking for some bootleg floyd form 70-77

  • This isn't 1977, it's 1975.

  • woops, thanks for the correction!:->

  • regarding the comment above...he might actually be wrong...it could be 77 because they played wish you were here on the Animals Tour

  • No, I think it can't be from 1977's "Pink Floyd - In The Flesh"-tour, 'coz Snowy White (2nd guitarist in 77 tour) isn't there.. So it must be 1975. Anyway, that was great! BTW, I wonder did they play the pt. 9 of SOYCD there.. it wasn't in this clip, right?

  • Awesome video... thank u much!!!
