  • why the intro isn't live?

  • 6:57 Lars fucks up lol

  • I miss the old drum '' TAMA StarClassic 22*16 '' I think that Lars could be much better with his old drum but Metallica is the best band of Thrash Metal and Heavy Metal in the world.

    Metallica Family 1981-2011

  • When James and Kirk harmonize on guitar it always sounds terrible live.

  • And justice is their best album by far!

  • there will be mistakes when playing live...in my opinion the part at 6:57 they played it off very well

  • Does anyone care to argue that this song isn't about the NWO??

  • This is the second video where I've seen Lars mess up at the same part! Lars your not even playing the original drums, you're playing the dumbed down version, at least practice that!

  • what happened at 6:57? haha

  • lol at 6:57 lars forgets the last part of that riff lol hetfield'd reaction on the guitar is funny - you can hear it how he played it - the dude was pissed! the funny thing is hetfield had put in a bit open string which is different to the original CD version of the song which would have made that riff unique, so basically he left the one before open to emphasise the riff for the last bigg drop down to the E chord. I think it was so ephasised Lars took that as some sort of cue.

    this is Life :)

  • Nice stage setup, now everyone has shity seats.

  • Rob makes this song feel totally different, adds more drive. And guitars don't buzz thinly but roar with sound. I wish they remastered ...And Justice For All with bass.

  • Watch mine vocal cover of dyers eve :)

  • what is the fucking drama about 6:57 (lars "failing") ??? In my opinion that fill fits perfectly in the song, especially in that part of the song.

    Long Live To METALLICA!

  • 10 ponit for Kirk

  • James had a really good voice during the Master - Black era. After Load his voice started to suck.

I wish I was born in the 70's, so I could have seen Metallica during their gold times =)

  • my favorite metallica song. I love the middle harmony part. i wish they play it more live

  • I can't believe this was released 22 yrs ago.

I heard it first time 19 yrs ago on LP !!!

I listened In rock and ...and justice all the time :)

  • @jimbob1234567 why do you take the time to say that?

  • Metallica bad motherfuckers period. One of the baddest metal bands of all time top five hands down.

  • And they rarely play it at all

  • lol check out the security guards. They're probably pissed cuz they cant see the performance

  • metallica rules this is their best song

  • lars is amazing and u no it and i never noticed him screw up

  • ha, Lars fucked up lol oh well, its been like 20 years since they played this song, Lars deserves to fuck up once in a while

  • you all seem surprised lars messed up... im not because he isnt that good anyway

  • i would laugh so hard if kirk kicked the guy at 6.09

  • ...And Justice For All é uma das melhores do Metallica!!!

    E uma das melhores versões!!!!!!

  • I was at this show... First Metallica concert. Fucking great day.

  • the 80's were there best years, they should retire

  • @niggavic fuck you bitch.

  • and you should shut the fuck up

  • 6:57 Lars Fail :(

  • goddamit lars if your going to play this song live, use both your feet!!!!!

  • lol 6:57 lars fucked every1 up he skipped a part haha

  • hhahahahaha

  • this seems way faster compared to studio version

  • No one is perfect, but when you play in the same metal band for over 20 years, you should know your material...its your job to!

  • @lsturek If you have written about 150 songs with long lyrics, you cannot remember it all perfecct...by the way they didn´t play song Justice for 20 years before year 2008....

  • were u the one filming if so they need to come back to mass u kno when the next time they will... will be?

  • @Sharkis12 & lsturek Yeah, and you gotta think after redebuting it in '07 they have played it VERY VERY sporadically.

  • @Sharkis12 thats 2007 actually

  • @Sharkis12 I believe the last time they played this was in Seattle. Year was 1989.

  • @VivalaErzi youre right. guys were pissed off for playing this song in 89...--> killing length + things around scene breakdown

  • @lsturek

If you want a perfect performance you should buy the album.

  • 6:57 lol every band member turns and walks towards lars

  • @guitarl3g3ndz

yeah cause he fucked up the drums at that particular part... he kinda forgot to play the last roll or something, i dont know drumming vocabulary but he clearly didnt play it correctly.

  • Lars "oops".

  • i did'nt think they played this anymore

  • Lars fucks up big time at 6:56 by coming into the next part of the song a section too early. You can tell because everyone else plays the last measure of that section but then switches over prematurely to follow Lar's mistake...Dude!! how long have you been playing in Metallica..come on!!!

  • i listened it ., ., your right. , .,but no one is perfect right??

  • James did have crisis in 2008 but now in 2009 he's in his shape again, though he never stopped being the best!! METALLICA DEFINITILY STILL FUCKIN' ROCKS!!

  • Nothing can save you! Justice is lost, justice is raped, justice is gone. Pulling your strings, justice is done! Seeking no truth, winning is all, find it so grim, so true, so real! METALLICA!!! Although what's up with the vocals. Wish he would've sang it like back in the ...And Justice For All days. Still, fantastic song, amazing band.

  • they just absoly rock

    !!

  • I felt kind of disapointed with the inicial record thing, and with lars mistaking in the bridge or something hm.

    but, man, THEY FUCKIN' RULE.

  • u are right

  • KIRK ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @fignotti89 1983-84: 5 1985-86: 6 1987: 7 1988-89-90-91-92 (first half): 9 1992(second half)-93: 9 1994-95: 9 1996: 9 1997-98: 10 1999-00: 10 after 01 the "new" james 2003-04-05: 7 2006: 8 2007: 5 2008-09: 6
  • 97-98 :10? ..mm i don't know. in those years james had a good voice but not at the same level of 88-92.

2003-2005: 7? In my opinion those years, few time after the reabilitation, James had the worst voice of his career.

But these are my opinions :)

  • @fignotti89

Its only my opinion, I know that at early 90s his voice was very powerfull and sharp... but in lately 90s his voice was very clean and had emotion...great power... My favs of this are S@M and Seattle 2000 bootleq...

  • the intro is from the studio version, I know lars Ulrich doesnt drum that good, but i would have probably believed it if kirk and james, because theyre hella good. ALL HAIL METALLICA DUDES!!!

  • In the intro they´ve used three guitars...so they´re using record...

  • @Sharkis12 maybe they played their part and left 1 guitar part for the tech dudes?

  • @d34thtw1nz22 Its record, the sound is in standard E tunning, but after the intro they start to play half step down...

  • He actually...Sang...GOOD!!!

  • I WAS THERE! :)

  • The crowd looks dead:( must be the phone.

    Whatever. Metallica rules all!

  • lol 6:57 way to screw up Lars

  • Oh hell yeah lmao

  • "hammer of justice crushes you..." his tone and the lyrics just move ya, insanely powerful. One of those rare groups where the vocalist moves you like the guitar and drums do. Legendary, just legendary.

  • the music and lyrics are so fucking powerful in this song! love it n.n

  • omfg... metallica pwns.. but fuck james' voice now :(

  • look how sadly the video recording capabilities on the cellphone is taking away the wildness in the crowd :(

    whatever metallica owns!

  • pasaron rajaos jajaja

  • This is amazing! I just miss the anger(vocals) in the song, but it still kicks ass.

  • i like standard tuning much better

  • ahhhhhhhhhh, this is awesome that they played this.

  • Metallica needs some new material. Considering all that is happening in the world, they have many subjects to choose from; 9/11 inside job, Bill of rights getting shit on, election fraud, eugenics, global warming scam, banksters of Wall St, criminals in government, Obama's citizenship, Bush 1,2,Slick Willie Clinton, no weapons of mass destruction, New World Order,etc,etc,etc...

  • but that would be fucking gay if they sang about everything that everybody else does.

  • And besides...that's megadeth's job...

  • His voice is getting better, I dont think he has singed this good since 1992, plus every one else is doing great. I saw the this year and I m ight see them again

  • His voice sounds a lot better now than it did in the Madly in Anger with the World tour.

  • what is the music that metallica open with it all their concerts?

  • Ecstacy of Gold

  • The Ecstasy of Gold from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly's soundtrack

  • thats a shit crowd though

    they arent doing anything

  • nice version, but the down tuning always bothered me, stupid aging james. besides, just listen to him sing, compare it to And justice for all at seattle '89 - his voice sounds awful today compared to back then.

  • ...And Justice for all! was the most difficult album to sing and he had voice for it only about 3-4 years...Now it isn´t it, because he lost his growl-voice... but its good.

  • yeah, i suppose so... his best periods IMO were MOP-TBA and S&M.

  • I think, that Metallica have two ,,best periods" too - best sound-voice -1989 - 1992, best shows 1999-2000

  • I thought Jame's voice was the best around the Kill 'em All era.

  • more like ride the lightning to tba and s m

  • shut up

  • i dont like how james walkes toward kirk at the solo, its his spotlight..not james'...

  • who cares?:S wtf man, listen to the music and enjoy work of the gods

  • you know you can find better ways to express yourself than "shut up"... it IS greath :D

  • i hate it when people spot one thing different from the original to the live version they bitch about it,

thats what i like about metallica they always play it differently live,

    they improvise,

if everything was always the same live, then it would be boring.

  • I agree 100% thats why is Metallica my favorite band... James is improvising lyrics, Kirk solos... but peoples thought that they´re fucking it, but they not....

  • @DEFINEMETAL i agree live has its pros and so does studio but their both epic!

  • the solo....love it

  • it was perfect

  • lol when will Lars remember to play an extra bar at 6:57, I have seen this song played live so many times and he keeps forgetting. There was one rehearsal video where James made fun of Lars for forgetting all the time.

Amazing performance though, and nice backing up vocals by Rob!

  • Yeah, he forgot it at Rock am Ring last year too...

  • They play everything from early material downtuned a step or so to accomodate James' vocal range now.

    He's 46, not 26 now.

  • yea but theyre still good and fast with the instruments

  • "sorry for this" lol

    it's ok

  • This is thier best song in my opinion. And Justice For All is thier best freakin album. I miss the old metallica music.

  • ...hodně dobrý Slovane!Dík...!

  • I hate when they play half a step lower, just keep the standard tuning damnit

  • They play tuned half step down from Load

  • no dude live they tune down half a step

in any live performance of any song now a days

  • yes, but Load is first album when they tune down half step ! Before Load they played in standard tunning, just check out Live seattle 1989

  • that is true. load, reload, they do play half a step down

  • why does it matter? its like not tuning down is hard

  • thats not what were getting at, what we are saying is back in the day they used to play in standard now they tune half a step down live for the old shit

  • that matters because?

  • it matters because its not the same metallica wich could be good and bad, IMO dnt mess with the old songs

  • standard tuning and a half step down almost sound the same so i wouldnt worry about it

  • Comment removed

  • boston mass

  • Thank you:-)

  • Nice version too

  • lars uses to fuck up always that point at 6:56 damn

  • LOL that sucks, but shit happens. i play and it can just happen that you forget where you're at or what you're doing.

  • They play these songs faster than the cd version. Which is funny cuz they used to play everything slower. Wish they could play at the same tempo

  • in the early 80s they played songs a lot faster

  • yes it is!

i had just watched another video of them playing the same song and this is slower than the 80's one.. (N)

  • ...And Justice For All!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Legend song

  • Beast riff!!!
