If you listen to racine and listen to music from other countries that had african slaves such as samba de roda from brazil and rumba from cuba you'll see that they all have the same elements such as african percussion and voices its funny how because this is haitian it has to be negative, based on the misconceptions of vodou.

azor has ben my greatest disovery this year. As a native of cote d'ivoire, i'm so amazed at how the racine sound is so close to our drum rythm. had a short stay in Port au prince duringcarnaval 2008 and now i cannot get away from rasin music as it sounds like my own.
