  • Are those the fucking tea-bag charges??

  • US military doesnt seem to use secondary loaders or ammunition man or whatever its called (from what ive seen). In finland we have 6-8 people on mortar squad, makes firing alot faster when the loader doesnt have to spin around picking the grenades from ground and then loading. It also makes it faster to get the mortar in position. Takes like 5-7 minutes to get the thing on shooting condition with precise readings. Also your positioning on the mortar is totally different from what we used.

  • its like a punch to the face neck chest stomach nuuuts legs ur soul shakes and riding the gun to settle the plate u have the power between ur legs...steel rain mortars are hung

  • you guys are slow and your AG sucks really bad

  • i no jack shit about this stuff, few questions. guy below said about shooting 5km, what is the size of group you can shoot at that range? whats the kill radious on them shells? and is shooting that thing comparable to sex?

  • @nickoli889

Max Range is 7200 Meters. We try for less than 25 meter spread from target but most of the time I can go down to 5-10 meter spread easily. Kill radius is 75 meters. That is why we keep the tubes 75 meters apart. As for your final question... No comment.

  • @bladewielder19 that myst be comparable to sex in every way possible

  • faggot fire

  • you should make a video of the explosion

  • I am mortar platoon leader in the finnish army, so i have 3 120mm mortars under my command. My rank is second lieutenant. When firing to over 5 km the sound of these weapons when firing is fantastic but its even more fun to think how would the enemy feel.

  • This gun is a Soltan M120mm mortar

    Made in Israel!!!!

  • HIGH ANGLED HELL, DEATH AND DESTRUCTION FROM ABOVE!

  • lol i didnt know they used mortars in this calibre today on western armies, but i am british so am used seeing the 81mm not something like 120

  • great weapon, i was a loader in army

  • thooo

  • How powerful are weapons like this? If you compare it to a AMOS 120 self-propelled mortar system, are the shells equal in power?

  • @SuperRegisteredUser It depends on the ammo. Almost all mortar rounds contain about 20%- 25% of their weight in explosive (Amatol, TNT, etc.) as opposed to artillery rounds containing about 8% to 10% of their weight in explosives. Thus, the typical 120 mm mortar round weighing 35 lbs contains about 7.5 lbs of explosives. The AMOS system uses the same ammo, but will probably see more action with guided amour piercing shells such as the strix to target tanks and other armored vehicles.

  • @crimbo913 Ok, thanks

  • Fuck yeah. There's nothing that comes close to the recoil that EVERYONE feels when this baby shoots.

  • why is it that there are so many militaries named rodriguez?

  • There is not a single military named Rodriguez.

I think the word you were looking for is "soldier".

  • Thank you sqd ldr for telling him to run his damn hands down the tube. I know it's hard to catch those things when it's kickin you in the face like that. Geronimo.

  • romans with ww2 era weapons IMAGINE

  • not bad on fireing the he rounds.. ft irwin sucked lol

  • Is it possible to do that thing they did in saving private ryan when they bang the bottom of the mortars on that plate of steel and tom hanks just chucks them ?

    I've kinda always womdered that

  • hey to make my comment auth im in the 1-501 airborne infantry im 11c aka mortar.. but sadly no you cant do it like the movie.. there is a lil spring inside the morter that is cracked by the wind until it breaks armin the round.. unless you can throw it past human capabiltys u cant make the spring wind up and break

  • ahhh i see, thanks for the reply and helpfull explanation.

And thanks for serving our country, be safe, and happy fourth of july from CA

  • a moter nade has a tail to carry charge pads, it holds up to 5 (atleast on 60mm) the more charges the longer the round goes, simple

  • How many shots before the thing starts to glow?

  • depending on if your doing the 120, 81, or the 60mm they all have dif rounds per a min caps

  • 16 RPM for the first minute 4 RPM indefinite.

  • @bladewielder19 the bottom of the cannon turned white when we did a 15 round fire for effect

  • to get his ammo...

  • Why does the gunner walk away everytime instead of kneeling there? turd

  • 音と映像がズレてるよ

  • Very nice video. I gave it 5/5!

My father was a loader on 120mm mortar during Croatian independence war, year 1995. 90% of you don't know this country but it doesn't matter.

  • Operation Flash/Storm. Yes, I remember the summer of '95. You should try Wikipedia, it's got some great entries for the Balkan Wars.

  • @realitic i guess most people know croatia...at least most europeans..

  • what would have happened if he did not keep his head down and right in front of the muzzle?Lol,I could not imagine it.

  • Owned Plus a Fatality Point i guess....!!!!It wouldn't be pretty tho..

  • tyhat ag needs to whatch his damn hands unless he just wants one to fly down range trace that tube all the way down not over the hole lol funny

  • Your negative comments cut right to the bone. It is hard to see the screen through the haze of tears.

  • yo, question about the mortar projectile... uhmm... is the propellant in that little white coil bove the rounds fins or fletching? or is the propellant packed @ the bottom of the canon?

  • no, theres different charges you apply to the bottom of the round. 1, 2, 3, 4 and super charge.

  • so is it wrapped around the round or is it planted @ the bottom??

  • no you clip it to the bottom of the round.

  • isn't it already attached to it when you take it out of the wooden box it comes in??

  • well yea it is, but you choose the setting for yourself. theres 5 charges altogether. take off / add on for whatever range u need.

  • have any idea of what fuel is used in coil charge?? cordite/smokeless gun powder or maybe something stonger like potassium perchlorate, cyclonie/rdx, trinitrotoluene(tnt)??

  • yeh i think its tnt. u sound like u know ur stuff.

  • yeah, it probably is 'cause those rounds look really heavy, too much mass for gunpowder to even get it out of the barrel.

  • obviously not dragonfire, never mind...

  • its an m120

  • made by israel, or replicated in united states??

  • It is more accurate to say charge 0-4. Charge 0 is removing all the cheese charges and letting the round's propellant do the job. Charge 4 is keeping all 4 charges on the round.

  • you need to clean that tube. tell that A.G. to get on that.

  • Slecht

  • Cool video matey. Hows that MAJ Cain from Arnhem in WW2 who went down the road using a 2inch mortar from the hip almost horizontally. Got a VC. not quite 120mm but hardly in the pam eh?

    Cheers Matty

  • We were newbies then so we were slower than average. Even so, during training, safety is the top concern so experienced soldiers weren't much faster than that.

  • Weak performance. Why are they firing so slow?

  • charge one and still alot fire coming off that big bitch! This takes me back..

  • 81 mm mortars in the Marines. this was fun to watch. too bad you didnt get some down range views. the audio probably cut out cuz when mortar is fired it is very loud.

  • shoulda put a video camera close to the target zoneeeeeeee

  • your audio track is way behind, but a nice lfx

  • For some reason the audio isn't synced right. Also notice the off camera guy telling me to slide my hands down the tube as it should be done.
