  • Keep those globalist vipers out! The big boys want your goodies and the common folk will get nothing in return.

  • @ARRIBAPERU1231 No voy a insultarte porque así no llegaré a nada positivo. Ollanta Humala es facho que se cree comunista, Huga Chavez es un caudillo y Evo Morales un ignorante.

  • hah wen they wre un armed fuking good for nothing pigs

  • I think the world knows by now after a century of corporations seeking resources in undeveloped regions that its a one sided affair. People have had enough injustice. How can it be so hard to balance your greed with a desire to protect and enrich the areas you target?

  • These guys are warriors... very brave!

  • why is it that these south and central american countries leaders are usually white and not an indigenous person.

  • how come peru doesnt have a leftist government like bolivia and venezuela?

  • Because Bolivia and Venezuela have good goverments between Bolivia and Venezuela, ,but with others they are always talking about war and violence. The problem is that the Peruvian Amazon people think that the violence is the best way of solving things, thats why there are MORE death police than indians.

  • Si hay analistas en el Mundo pero dicen que rubbish eres como Presiente y los Peruanos en el extranjero sentimos verguenza al escuchar ello.

  • The movement is more big that your group of power!. El Gas and Petrol is for the Peruvians not for Foreign investment.

    Don't sale your Country.

  • No threats to the protests in Peru. The Government are responsable for all these problems given solution peaceful.

    Still persecution in Peru.

Garcia go away... we don't want in Peru.

  • STOP THE DESTRUCTION!!!!!!!!!!

    IN ALL SOUTH AMERICA!!

BUY NO GOLD, WOOD , OIL ETC!!!!!!!!

NO COFFEE, SOYA OR WHATEVER FROM THESE AREAS!!

WRITE TO THE COMPANIES or attach those who are guilty from exploiting this area...CARGILL, CHECRON, SHELL, COFFEE COMPANIES....

PROTECT THE AMAZONE WITH ALL MEANS NESSECARY!

    ONELOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dear Peruvian!

I have participated a Peruvian demonstration in our area. I am from Sri Lanka and many of our community support your strugle in your own land.

  • CAPITALISTS GET THE FUCK OUT FROM SOUTHAMERICA

USA you'are getting more and more enemys trying to get into the AMAZONAS..

COMUNIST AND SOCIALIST ARE USING THAT TO GET INTO THE POWER.. just take a look at ECUADOR; BOLIVIA and VENEZUELA..

  • It is Jewish loby in USA,which is managing their administration!

  • Jews also killed Jesus Christ.

And south americans are the biggest cocaine pushers.

    etc. etc. etc.

And if jews did not live in the USA, then all americans would switch to live like the campesinos, because the cared so much about well being of natives of south ameirca ?

  • dude; what's up with the english-speaking soundtrack underneath yo9ur voiceover? Jesus, man, you have ruined your own good work!

  • There is a crisis of human rights. There are more and more arrests, killings and abuses.

"This is happening in Russia, Canada, the Philippines, Cambodia, Mongolia, Nigeria, the Amazon, all over Latin America, Papua New Guinea and Africa. It is global."

    John Vidal

The Guardian, Saturday 13 June 2009

  • "For thousands of years, we've run the Amazon forests," said Servando Puerta, one of the protest leaders. "This is genocide. They're killing us for defending our lives, our sovereignty, human dignity."

"An aggressive drive is taking place to extract the last remaining resources from indigenous territories," says Victoria Tauli-Corpus, an indigenous Filipino and chair of the UN permanent forum on indigenous issues. "

  • "In some of the worst violence seen in Peru in 20 years, the Indians this week warned Latin America what could happen if companies are given free access to the Amazonian forests to exploit an estimated 6bn barrels of oil and take as much timber they like. After months of peaceful protests, the police were ordered to use force to remove a road bock near Bagua Grande."

  • its clear from your previous comment that you do work for the Peruvian govt, repeating their lies & propaganda.

  • Abusive just like your police force & army aye. Shame on you.

  • Nothing to be ashamed of.

Poverty levels are going to drop well below 10% in the 2020s.

Most of these people and their sons are not going to be poor anymore. Unless they hear self-righteous people (plenty when their wallets are not at risk) and turn Peru in another Venezuela.

  • Tautoko Moheka keep talking the truth bro, kia kaha !

The Human rights abuses in Peru against their Indigenous peoples is a worldwide concern, thanks to all the activists that are getting the truth out, before the government of Peru could cover up the massacre.

Pedro you are just a bullshit artist for the peruvian govt, shame on your & your government the whole world is watching Peru commit genocide against our Indigenous brothers & sisters.

  • My pleasure, big-butthead.

  • The comment I made was the police had an order from their Govt and they had to act, does that make it right? No, should they side with the people that they vowed to protect? Yes. Even in China, in Tiannanen square 1989, the city Police protested with demonstrators. The army attacked and the rest is history.

  • Hey Pedro, if you listened, 55 days of peaceful protests, the police were sent in, they shot at the protesters, killed protesters and the protesters reacted to that violence. The ordinary Peruvians are out on the street protesting at Garcia's hardline, the Parliament itself is protesting Garcia's hardline. The profits from these resources will leave the country, as none of the companies are owned by Peru.

  • hey, buttheads,

24 POLICEMEN are dead. Some of them executed.

Nobody engages Policemen without being shot at. That is a rule of thumb. So, if these guys did it, should consider themselves lucky that only 10 natives are dead.

The Law applies to everybody and that land and its resources belong to all peruvians.

According to projections, poverty in Peru is going to be better than the US in 15 years.

So, keep cracking and get off with another countries problems.

    buttheads,

  • Your comments only show your own ignorance of what is going on, if you actually listened and read you would have more understanding of what is going on. The USA concerns itself with Afghanistan and the Mid East, so Indigenous Peoples cannot show concern for what is happening with their brothers and sisters in another country? Your the Butthead, you make out that the police are innocent? LMAO!! You are funny

  • Mister ...

DO NOT ENGAGE POLICEMEN. IN any manner or you will be shot at.

If a police officer tells anybody to back up, people should do as told or people will be shot at.

In Peru,China or Samoa. You do understand that, do you ?

What you are seeing here is GREED in ACTION.

Your brotherhood exists only in your head and may very well suit your interests and/or you local-group interests.

btw, What the U.S concerns got to do here ? Peru is not New Zealand, Mister.

  • Your ignorance is astounding boy, I'm not Samoan, Samoans are not indigenous to New Zealand. Maori are indigenous to New Zealand, and we are a warrior race google Maori Battalion. Secondly we have indigenous solidarity movements throughout the world, it's called mutual support for indigenous rights. Thirdly, unless you have buried your head in the sand, the police do not engender trust anywhere in society, they should, but they don't. Anyone ruling at the point of a gun deserves mistrust.

  • Do not be scare of Samoans, They are nice.

  • You are a respectful person,

I agree the police had to act, Peru is impoverished and her resources will be taken by these corporate entities. Peru can do things for Peru. I am not afraid of Samoans or anybody, Maori are a warrior race and we have a common ancestry.

  • Do not engage policeman, so the alternative is to let them do what ever they want, in my country and in my culture, we call that, the act of a coward. If you see women and children being beaten, and as a man you stand by and watch? That is the act of the commsumate coward. I praise those that stand up to authority that no longer serves the people, but serves those or corporate entities that would rape an already impoverished land for the own shareholders and get the Govt to do their dirty work.

  • Sir,

I support your personal views, but as i told you, police acted in response to a request from the government. After 55 days of roadblocks and USD 200 million in losses, after a call to SEDITION from Mr Pizango, the forces of ORDER had to act ...

Peru is a poor country still and can't stop, because there is much need.

4 etnias seeking privileges are not more important than the over 1,000 ethnic groups in Peru, including Asians, Africans and lots more.

  • Police are only to be respected when they are enforcing justice. When they are an impediment to justice, they cease being legitimate authorities, and ethical people have a responsibility to oppose illegitimate authority. The guise of 'order' is often used to keep oppressed people down. It is only by destabilizing an oppressive order that equality begins to take root.

  • Fuck the Garcia Government, the only thing stopping me coming to Peru to kill those Garcia fuckers is money for a plane and gun and ammo once I get there. I'm indigenous to New Zealand, I feel for my brothers and sisters over in Peru. I wish to strip the flesh of my new enemies and fill my belly with their flesh. Pokokohua ma, he kai koutou na te kuri, he kai kouout maku, he hamuti te hua, Teetee aku niho, huare katoa te waha ki te kai i aku hoariri.

  • If things keep going the way they are in the U.S. this is what it will look like here... How else could it go?

  • Fucking Canadians.

  • I hope they go all the way and finish it. The state is obviously not there for their benefit. Throw all the deceivers into the ocean so they know what it feels like to have the ground robbed from you.

  • Out with Garcia and the murderous Peruvian oligarchy. The revolutionary working class must take power!!

  • People should fight against a government that does not serve the people. Bless the Peruvian people, and the reporters covering this story. My preyers are with you.

  • Peru needs to follow the path of Venezuela and Bolivia, it is time for revolution!

  • ¿Why did you blocked my participation?

    Dont you fight for LIBERTY?

Why don´t you show the pictures of the militaries murder by those manipulates indigenas???

Hand of of our continent, comunistas!!!!

    Liers!!!

  • I feel sorry for you. OLLANTA HUMALA WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF PERU, LIVE WITH IT!

  • is this some kind of "the operation amazon" by cia & the state sponsered criminals? greedy caucasions killed 60millions native americans, and now they want to kill amazonians in the south

continet. well, Let's release Ninjas to

terminate garcia and ceos of criminal corporations. Destroy the "Eye".

  • i take my hat off to these brave people who are willing to die for what they believe in. i pray that their blood won't be spilled in vain.

  • I commend the indigenous community for being brave enough to face a modern army with spears. And according to what I've heard, there's been casualties on both sides.

If I had the means, I'd arm this people with high tech weaponry to face the evil government.

Sad how garcia betrays his people... I guess he likes American gay men and dicks up his ass.

  • Indigenous people only want what's right for them and to be freed from the hands of ruthless government. US government has never thought like like-minded people like me and many others because if they did this world will be better off.

US has been involved in hundreds of coups that made life worse for every country targetted.

Democracy? Wtf. Unfortunately there's still people like you that believe in the illusion called 'democracy'. Grow a pair of brain cells please.

  • Comment removed

  • There's no such thing as democracy never was. What we have around the world is fascism, communism and corporatism disguised as democracy. Or maybe your definition of 'democracy' is different from the common one.

So your suggesting that we all lay down ourselves, cross our arms and not do a damn thing? Using violence against violence is not logical but right now is there any other way? Weak are dominated by the powerful only if they allow it to happen.

  • When your land is expropriated, your waterways poisoned, your culture destroyed and a large number of foreigners make themselves at home in your territories, bringing local inflation, crime and waste with them, you mean these people should simply change channels on the TV? What would you do?

  • then what happens when everyone is being killed or gravely injured, restricted of international rights, or life itself is restricted beyond consideration..

  • many people across the world face these situations daily and you suggest they just sit there....

the only way evil governments and oppressors are diminished or stopped is through revolution

i am not trying to be a communist or anything of that sort cause i hate communism, fascism, etc

but is is the truth, it has been shown in our own history time and time again that revolutions are the only answers in

  • these situations wether they be violent or non violent ...

(i prefer non violent, just wanted to get that out there)

  • You are suggesting that the US has backed peasant resistance against their own corporate interests? Where, pray thee, has this happened? I have been on this earth almost 3 times as long as your stated age, am well read, and I cannot recall such a thing taking place. Not ever.

  • Fuck corp. profits! I hope the indians win and Peru can someday have a more just government.

  • The IMF at work. This is the way foreign corporations receive favored treatment. The World Bank lends money to foreign governments and when the gov fails to make the required payments it is forced to sell off natural resources to foreign corporations for a pittance. And without any obligation to use the best business practices to protect other resources. Don't forget to thank the IMF and World Bank.

  • State Corporatism at its best!

    No Capitalism here.

It is the State of Peru who is responsible for the theft of that land.

As long as a State exist, those living in that State do not own their land nor do they can participate in a free market.

  • This is the work of cruel capitalism and cruel state together.

Capitalism (Corporations) buys areas of the rainforest to extract oil and other natural ressources from the government. The government enforces it.

  • That is defined as corporatism. The merger of corporations and government.

  • Capitalism or better yet, free-market.

Is a form of economic system where NO STATE or entity is present to REGULATE or TAX the trades, services, advertisement or payment of any person or company.

In a true free-market society, the people decides to participate with the company, opting to boycott or not.

Corporate giants get govt contracts and govt school promote that system. There is no way you will understand that humans CAN manage themselves unless you unlearn what was taught to you.

  • The free trade deals were made with the international bank. This is how they get back there money that they lend third world countries.

  • international analysts = friends of satan

  • STFU liberal gringos, you don't know shit about what happens outside your borders.

  • Comment removed

  • put all global banksters tyrants and parasite psychopaths in jail and call it a day. it's the same problem everywhere

  • 11 down, how many millions to go?

  • REVOLUTION!! Go Peruvians!!

  • @starfireucsd There is no revolution. They are just a group of people who think that killing inocent police members, they will get what they want.

  • Solidarity.

  • It is quite sad to witness this kind of atrocity from the government side... I hope people from Africa will be able to watch this video and learn from it... Putting pressure on the government to revise and/or eliminate all controversial deals that literally put ordinary people into deeper poverty....

Our world needs some serious reforms; otherwise, we are going to live in a scary world FOREVER...

  • I hope people from the US watch this video and learn from it...

  • raised fist!
