@reddemon785 twin snakes has redone voice work and is much more japanese. There are a lot of unnecessary jumps and flips in twin snakes. The PSX version should always be played first. Also, twin snakes lets you fire from the first person...which ruins some boss fights, especially ocelot.

This was a VERY rare game in one way. The English Dub was ACTUALLY BETTER then the Japanese original.

I also prefer hearing the game in English, Im more used to it, but the voice acting in the japanese version is also well done.

@xBlackxZerox That is your opinion. Who knows what criteria it is based. Some people have a more skewed reason for finding different voices appealing. I often find the Japanese voice actors to equivalent tough-guy characters to be better...independent of which I've heard first. For example, the American actor for Jubei Kibagami sounded like a weakling. If you spoke Japanese (assuming don't) how you react still depend upon your experience thus far...how well you value the character stereotype.

You know just like you can choose on an anime dvd whether you want to watch the anime in Japanese or English, I wish you could do the same for games. The only games that allow you to change audio track from English to Japanese are anime based games. Who knows, maybe they will in the future.

P.S. This scene is both fantastic in English and Japanese.

That's what Ryuhei Kitamura actually did at first. He stayed very faithfull to the original cutscenes, but Kojima wanted him to do them in his own style, so Kitamura had to redo all of cutscenes again.
