2 reasons

1. barry states he never runs it twice in other episodes

2. he didnt really know for sure sammy had kings, he never turned over kings till the river

running it twice is essentially playing 2 hands...you seperate the pot into two equal parts...then you run turn and river for first pot and turn and river for second pot...so if you win the first lose the second...you essentially split the pot
