The 4890 is probably slightly faster in some games and GTX275 faster in some other games. 4890 has DX10.1 support while GTX275 has DX10 support but it GTX275 has HW PhysX for advanced particle effects with physics in some games.

I had the nuke effect slightly tweaked. You can use my particle mod for Crysis if you want the latest one I made that greatly increases effects detail etc. I have a link in one of the particle showcase videos.

I use the games/engines command to have shadow casting muzzle flashes. Might be that.

The visual mods for these games are incredible, I can't wait till we get to the original offering. Only thing that I think really needs to be modded, although, I think it would be impossible or insanely hard, would be bullet perferation of plant life.

Crytek nor EA has said anything about either Crysis games comming to consoles. In contrary Crytek has said in several interviews it wont come to consoles.

It is not possible to do Crysis on consoles without major rework and reduced graphics tech usage. This would make the offspring version a shadow of the PC version. :)

It is the TAC gun that launches a compact nuke projectile in multiplayer. For singleplayer it has a different weaker effect tied to games plot.

As long as you aren't planning on rendering it in real time, you can do as much physics as you want.
