  • AUDI ... CERTAINLY THE BEST CAR IN THE WORLD !!! I LOVE AUDI !!!

  • Michael Delaney:

“ A lot of people go through life doing things badly. Racing’s important to men who do it well. When you’re racing, it... it’s life. Anything that happens before or after... is just waiting. „

  • After "Truth in 24" this is just the best. I agree totally in that Le Mans i a million times more interesting than F1...!

  • mocne ;D

  • racing car drivers are one of the most trained athlete in both pysical and mental abilities in the world because to keep concentration at such speed and all that G-force at that speed could tire a normal person within 10 minutes... just think of doing that for almost 8 hrs straight...

  • Whoa hey, if we're fighting against each other who's gonna make fun of the hillbilly nascar? Who cars, A Nascar car couldn't do either.

  • This video never gets old. I still get goosebumps.

  • Le Mans needs more constructors !

  • I suggest watching Truth in 24 if you liked this video. It's about Audi during the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans. I believe iTunes has it for download for free.

    :)

  • LeMans 24hours 2010 WINS: 1, 2, and 3 = Audi R15s. The rewards of the tireless drive towards perfection!!

  • what is this car's top speed

  • Tdi motors.... music to my ears... Litterally :D!

  • This video is so cool for turning the engine into a musical instrument.

  • Comment removed

  • Serious question people which iv always wanted to know: with le mans twenty for hour, how do they manage to stop the drivers needing to go toilet during a race for number 2, or if they have dirrehea by any chance...no smart ass comments please or sleep deprevation.

  • @spartan1893 for the 24 hours of le mans they have 3 drivers. a driver cannot be in the car for more than 4 hours. that is the rule. so they handle their business when there not driving.

  • o ok makes sense and simple thanx mate all the best to ya! :)

  • the have several drivers on a team and each driver drives for i belive 4 hours at a time. the drivers switch off so bathroom breaks and food is not a problem

  • @spartan1893 They exchange drivers at certain intervals. I'm not sure how many maximum hours the drivers can race, but I think at least 4 hours, there is a driver change. I'm pretty sure the drivers are well-rested and at perfect physical condition before the race.

  • Good Video. I think, the night is over, the Audi to see better.

Gutes Video. Ich finde, nach der Nacht ist der Audi besser zu sehen. Eines meiner Lieblingsvideos.

  • MUSIC PLZ?

  • those desil p1 cars are so amazing and audis pit crew is just so smooth it amazing how the r15 is not as tough as the precurser the r8

  • the precursor to the r15 is the r10...

but there are 4 reasons why the r15 failed

    1) not quick enough on the straights

    2) dirt could easily get into the bodywork because of the front design

    3) audi had a lot of bad luck in the race with i think all the cars having trouble

    4) the only other time it raced was at sebring so the team didn't have enough experience with it

  • @lunchsalamimeat And don't forget that one of the R15's had a major accident at LM.

  • really nice video mte nice job dude

  • F1 is really tuff. i saw this documentary where a guy with not much experience in racing had a go at a f1 car and after 3 laps at silverstone his neck muscles had given up.

  • Top Gear FTW!

  • 2:40 , rear end change ! that was fast !!

  • There is a new version of the r10 racing it won its first race without any testing lol

  • It's called the R15 buddy and there is extensive testing on every car that Audi produces for ALMS, just because it doesn't run constant laps at Sebring for the first race doesn't mean it hasen't been tested for months or years.

  • haha it upside down

    nice april fools

  • film & music by bauhouse.

  • in the respective Le Mans races anyone can participate if they have a fast car(PORCHE,SPYKER,BMW)etc.B U T..in an F1 race only qualified race drivers can withstand the brutal conditions of the race.LM are endurance races not driving skill races.therefore there is no way of comparison ....LM cars&drivers r made to last in EXTREME conditions.F1 cars&drivers are made to last in BRUTAL outworldly conditions. With respect to all racing leagues.Thank all of them..they do this for all of us

  • F1 takes skill to keep em on the track but they dont over take so it not really racing tbh

  • You really have no clue how harsh the conditions are racing in a F1 do you? The reason why Indy drivers can trasition to NASCAR, but no NASCAR or even Indy drivers can transition to F1 is mostly based on the brutal conditions the drivers can withstand. Usually this is an accrued process from a very early age.

F1 drivers are on a totally different league compared to other racing series.

The G-Force on turns with F1s are ridiculous that drivers have constant conditioning for races.

  • F1 is basically like driving karts that go twice to three times faster, with minimal restraints.

The only reason you don't see F1 drivers get in deadly crashes as much as they should, is because every one of those drivers are the BEST of the BEST.

LeMans or even Indy, when accelerating don't even put half as much pressure on your body as an F1.

F1s literally hurt your back when you step on that pedal coming out of an S curve.

  • One of my friends used to drive in the F-stella series when he got out of kart, and he eventually quit mostly because he couldn't keep up with other talents, but he did mention that even the stella machines hurt his body with constant bruises, or constant stress on a particular part of the body.

  • You do know that F1 cars are the most fragile cars right? They even have to warm up the engine to run them.

  • What is the song???????????

  • f1 is like an hr long race leman is 3, 4 or 24hrs long so there completely different cars an f1 car would not last 4 hrs no way

  • @mooseyiscool

The current F1 engines only last for about 2 races, so you could say that they only last for about 4 hours. :D

  • @mooseyiscool Of course it won't.The engine of an f1 car is designed to last only for one race.

  • @Fastcarsupersports That is not true at all. A driver may only use up to 8 engines per seasons with a heavy 10 place grid penalty for each engine used beyond the 8th. Given that there are 19 races in the season as of 2010 and that includes engine use for testing, practice, qualifying and the race, the engines *by definition* must be designed last longer than one race.

  • @mooseyiscool YEAH DUDE, ANYWAYS F1 IS GREAT AND ALL BUT THEY CHANGE TIRES LIKE EVERY 10 LAPS

  • @mooseyiscool Modern F1 Car could last 4 Hours...But your right that it could not last 24 without swappin a new engine in.

  • @mooseyiscool cant we all just agree that lemans and F1 is alot better than nascar or any of that other roundy round shit that seems to be paluging America like a disease? God how can it be cool to watch cars go around an oval for hours on end. and wtf? Did you see that pass in turn 5? ummm its a fucking oval there are two turns. you might have 5 apexes but only two turns. wow man im so glad i dont watch that shit

  • @mooseyiscool & @SadMonk7 of course it wouldnt! F1 cars are built to selfdestruct after the 2 hour race becouse extra durability would mean more weight. you cant say F1 is better then 24h racing, its just different. its like comparing a 100m sprint(er) and a marathon run(ner). it just doesnt work. of couse, both are cars(humans) but if you look at it, they are totaly different, not better or worse.

  • Im glad that there is a group of people that realize that Le mans racing is a million times better then F1 racing.. Audi owns end of story

  • wow your so true driver in le mans showmen in f1

it takes balls to drive 225 mph at night

  • And it takes huge stamina to drive 6 - 7 hours in a 24 hour period, all at speeds that'll make your balls retract -- those guys are fit.

  • i agree totally - prototypes and gt cars rules !!!

  • dont get me wrong i enjoy lemans.

    but ill stick with F1

  • @SadMonk7 i agree soo true

  • @SadMonk7 Truth. F1 has just been a Ferrari circle-jerk for over a decade. Even the rule books are biased in favor of Ferrari.

LeMans seperates the men from the little boys...for drivers, and the machines. It takes balls to win at LeMans. Big balls.

  • @SpeedingStudent definitely :)

  • @SadMonk7

    Which cars are faster?

  • @SadMonk7 F1 sucks, Long Distance Races are the best!

  • @WerpoMotoTV hell yea my friend!

  • Comment removed

  • @SadMonk7 Correct... One 24 hour Le Mans Race has almost the same hours of racing than the whole F1 Season!!!! and the endurance race pushes everything to the limit, so you get to see the best of hte best in engineering, technology and drivers.

  • @rodrigovivas1985 next year ill be entering college and im majoring in mechanical engineering.. i hope to work for Audi when im older :D

  • @SadMonk7 It's going to be a real challenge. Strive to keep your grades up as possible (around 3.0 average) and start getting involved into or researching about automotive technology ( i.e. join or check out SAE and read Carrol Smith's books on cars). It would be best to check out which college offers the best hands-on experience for mechanical engineering, and I mean exciting senior design projects like the Formula SAE. Good luck, and do your best!

  • @SadMonk7 im doing auto and smoking everyone in swapping parts :P

i hope to work on the pitcrew and tear out stuff and replace with fresh parts as fast as the audi pit crew :3

  • @ApSykesThewolf Live the dream man

  • @SadMonk7 I would definitely like to see F1 race at night. See how they fare

  • Audi is about sports car racing not F1, and in sports car racing there is no greater stage than Le Mans......you prissy F1 fans can go troll somewhere else..

  • Whats the song name anybody?

  • The whole mystery of Audi R10 TDI success is ruthlessly simple.

Turbocharged or supercharged petrol engines are only allowed to have a maximum displacement of 4000cc.

Diesels are allowed to have 5500cc.

And that's all to be said here. If diesels are soooo good, let's race the R10 TDI limited to 4000cc with its petrol rivals and we'll soon reveal the true "TDI Power" :-]

    Or TDI Weakass.

  • ok thats like saying well my crx could beat ur viper if i had 6 more cylinders n weighed the same u sound like the ppl in the 90s crying the V8DTM quattro having n unfair advantage due 2 the design of the crank shaft giving the car over 500bhp because it was designed so good its unfair n illegal how about switching ur crappy petrol engines to disel and seeing if you can still keep up

  • audis been doing things 4 years people r just catching on 2 AWD back in the 70s n just now companies like acrua r going WOW THATS A GOOD IDEA!

  • Calbha: "how about switching ur crappy petrol engines to disel and seeing if you can still keep up" Well, at least you made me laugh this evening. Some excerpts from VW engines: Golf TDI 2.0 TDI: 140HP Golf GTI 2.0 TFSI: 200HP; More power?: Golf GT Sport 2.0 TDI: 170HP Audi TTS 2.0 TFSI: 272HP Even more? Audi A6 3.0 TDI: 240HP Audi A6 3.0 TFSI: 300HP Much less? 1.4 TDI: 80HP 1.4 TSI: 170HP Fancy a race, Calbha? Now I seriously fear my petrol won't keep up with your diesel!
  • Do the same comparison with the torque figure's for these engines! Sure your going to be suprised with the results.

  • griffon58: "Do the same comparison with the torque figure's for these engines! Sure your going to be suprised with the results"

You're just a yet another guy who don't understand torque

If you ride a bicycle and keep pedaling hard force on the 20cm=0,2m crank is easily about 1500N (due to weight transfer of about 150kg). Torque? 300Nm. Not bad for a bicycle!

So why can't you keep up with the weakest cars having smallest engines producing, say 80 Nm of torque, eh?

    Think about it

  • 1st thing: you don't know ANYTHING about torque and engines. 2nd. the 3.0 TFSI had only 220 HP !!!!! the diesel had 240 with 500Nm!! and the petrol only 300Nm of torque. Not to mention consumption. 3.0TDI can manage with half the fuel the TFSI takes in. Plus it's much more durable, so how about shutting up and crying over not buying a TDI!

  • castravetele: "1st thing: you don't know ANYTHING about torque and engines"

Go back to school. Provided you in Romania have any

"the 3.0 TFSI had only 220 HP"

Sy why Audi website says 300HP?

"3.0TDI can manage with half the fuel the TFSI takes in"

World really does consist of stupid people and their urban legends

    According to spritmonitor (36 drivers) A6 3.0TDI uses 9,56 l/100km

Edmunds tested BMW 535i which crushes 3.0TDI interms of performance. 22,5 mpg=10,45 l/100km

  • If petrol's are soooo good. Let's limit the petrol engine maximum RPM's to diesel engine maximum RPM'S and we'll soon reveal the true "TDI Power".

  • What is wrong with taking advantage of the governing bodies rules? In Indycar racing in the mid 90s, Roger Penske's teams dominated by using a "stock block" pushrod V8. This stock block was allowed to have larger displacement AND higher boost levels than overhead cam engines. No one else tried, or could, develop an engine to compete. The same can be said here. Any manufacturer can build a diesel to take advantage of the rules, but they can't. Kudos to Audi for their outside of the box thinking.

  • CredibleHulk: "What is wrong with taking advantage of the governing bodies rules?"

Nothing. But make daft fanboys realize the difference in power/cc of diesels and petrols

"Any manufacturer can build a diesel to take advantage of the rules, but they can't"

Don't be ridiculous. Merc and BMW compete in F1, that A LITTLE BIT higher level game than Le Mans, don't you think? And whom Audi defeated here?

A Peugeot. And some small teams with no budget

    Beating Peugeot... impressive stuff!

  • F1 higher than LeMans? Ha! Yeah, run around a track for 20 laps...uh-huh...

    Or...

Punish both car and driver for 24 hours?

Hmmm? What were you saying? F1 is overrated. LeMans is the best racing that exists...bar none.

  • God you are a dumbass.

Endurance is a better test of man and machine than a few hot laps. That is why Lemans is a more celebrated race series than F1.

Your beloved Ferrari stopped being relevant in the 80s when Ford crushed them four years in a row.

Those same companies you list were also at the 24hours of Le Mans...because it is a greater show of engineering prowess to win that than F1.

  • Make that "...stpped being relevant in the 1960s".

  • Factory teams in Le Mans and American Le Mans? 8, Audi, Peugeot, Acura, Porsche, Aston Martin, and Chevrolet with the additions of BMW and Mazda in ALMS next season

Factory teams in F1? 5, Ferrari, Merc-Mclaren, Bmw, Renault, Toyota

as you can see, no one that matters cares about F1

  • No Factory teams, ALMS has porshe facotry teams, bmw factory teams, ferrari factory teams, soon to be corvette factory teams, panoz and dodge factory team and thats only GT2. True the queen catagory lacks factory teams, but peugeot being nothing. They ran times that rivaled group c qualifying times with 300 lest horsepower. Audi one because of thier experience at Le Mans.

F1 is boring. 2 much about lap times and fuel loads. Real racing happens in sports cars competitoion.

  • One last thing, why do you think drivers from all disciplines come 2 Le Mans every year. F1, IRL, JGTC, WRC. They all respect Le Mans and see the prestige of the race.

  • Audi is best!!!

  • does anyone know the date of 24 hours of leman start every year??

  • It changes yearly. Next year its on June 13-14th. This year it was the 14th-15th.

  • it's always the second weekend of June ;)

  • i think it's the 1st of july

  • Audi eat Peugeot.. ALIVE!

  • where can i download it?

  • same thing.

    where?!?!!?

  • audi the titans of diesel

  • Why is Audi the best? Extreme technology, extreme passion, extreme spirit.

  • I ask a Audi Technicien he told that Audi won3 times Le mans with the same Engine they used in 2006 they work on Biodiesel and nothing else. so

  • Epic monster of the car & racing industry.

  • i don´t know, but i mean an another r8...you know that it gives two r8 or?

  • oh my god!! thats the beuatiest video after the first part of this...i´ve still crying here! the r8 was the best and the r10 will follow the way of the r8. the music is so nice! when i see the last pictures my eyes are full with tears

  • if i buy a R8 will my nutsack get bigger?

  • OOBA DOOOBA BIX NOOD BANANAS you say?

  • nice very nice

  • Anyone work out where I can download the music that accompany this video?

  • and porsche rs spyder? where le mettiamo? in'cul a quadda puttan d mammata?

  • great video and music too ! hoping that Audi will once again beat Peugeot at Le Mans, and of course AMG Mercedes in the DTM !

  • Peugeot = cry babies....

  • Peugeot = cry babies....

  • What do you expect? They're French. lol

  • But they still build better cars than those cheap gringo cars. ;)

  • UGGGG WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE SONG?????

  • Audi composed the music themselves so doesn't have a name

  • try to find at audi website. try to find audi music.. asi downloaded the part one song there

  • thanks again :]

  • okay thanks :]

  • What fucking name of this song !??

  • Super !!!!!!!! Le Mans !!! My Home !!

  • in 2 years they r gonna make a vid called "the newer dawn of power" show casing the audi r15

now i no its just a rumour nd it mght not be called the r15 but its gonna look so cool!

  • yeah but you have always and prob will forever make shit cars, its just the American way. But as u say the US r still the best at "most" things i agree but u suk a furry dick when it comes to cars, sumthing u love, just look @ what videos ur watching. hahaha

  • German cars are the best.

  • german cars are the best , but i have to disagree on the beer , theres only one premium beer-making country in the world and that's BELGIUM.

  • All Aluminium block V10

  • VORSPRUNG DURCH TECHNIK

    Advantages Thru Technology.

  • S2000 Slooow!

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS?? THATS PRETTY SAD!

  • BWHAHAHAHAHA!

  • Absolutely beautiful! Was this video produced by Front 242, the techno group that made Speed Tribe? (I'll suggest to everyone search this title in youtube and purchase the DVD)

  • Uuuuauuuhhh... Impresionante. Me gusta como samplean ritmicamente los sonidos del coche. Muy bueno.

  • Fucking sick.

  • I would love to be part of that pit crew!!

  • fuck that, id love to be the one driving

  • where did u get this video?..if u can can u send the link?

  • Automotive porn...thanks Audi, you kick ass. Someone PM me the soundtrack to this if you know it please. Thanks!

  • I love the R10.

  • TDi POWA!!

    Outstanding!! =D

  • Have they made one of these vids for this past year's LeMans where they beat the Peugeots?

  • TDI awesome

  • FEEL THE ENGINE.

  • oh yes Corvettes and Vipers race in the same class as the R10 in the Le mans 24hrs. It's just that no one can touch that V12 tubo diesel R10

  • No they dont, The Audi is an LMP1 car and the Vipers and Corvettes are GT1. They race at the same time but in totally different catagories.

  • ur wrong, the R10 is LMP-1, vettes and vipers are LMGT-1

  • I just love how Audi puts in the end of these videos the simple phrase: TDI Power.

  • just incase anyone was woundering who's quote was said at the start of this video, its Steve McQueens

    great video

  • so when they brought him into the garage and removed the boot, wat were they doing???

  • I don't remember the whole story but they had some type of transmission failure. They brought the car into the pits and had it back out on the track in like 7 minutes, they effectively had to reattach all of the rear suspension and probably the differential as well all in the time frame. That's problem solving and teamwork right there. ;)

  • err... I thought I posted this in reply to someone else's messsage... YouTube must be screwy today :S

  • Danke nochmal, audi! Immer noch das Beste!!!

  • Fuck I LOVE that car!!!!

  • it's so beautiful...Thanks Audi Sport!

  • The great amount of dedication, passion, and desire to love what makes people happy is completely summed up by the great work Audi is doing and I hope they take that same passion one day to FORMULA 1!

  • Badass

  • This sums up European Racing very well: a blend of technology and passion.

  • basically thats wat it is

  • sorta reminds me of mission control before a shuttle launch

  • Germans engineers are very sciencetific . American should learn more than Just a power ,ITS THE TECHNOLOGIES , it takes passion and love to the sport.

  • Yes, tell that to the Corvette Compuware team that has won a few Lemens in a row..

  • Corvette? lol... american cars suck... look like washing machines... shut a fuck up asshole! Vorsprung Durch Technik!!!

  • Well Great job making a well educated argument about how the Corvette "sucking" that's clearly backed up with fact after fact to discredit my observation. You, sir, are brilliant, great job! I'm aware american cars suck, but for once they have produced a true track capable car, and as I JUST said above, they've won a few LeMens in a row, so how the hell do you explain that? You don't win 24 hour races by chance. They were 1-2 finishes too. What now bitch?

  • By chance? hey do not EVEN compare the German car technology with the american... your american V10 here in Europe as compared with a V6... shut a fuck up bitch... shame on you!

  • ROFL..ok I'm not going to bother with you, obviously you are too immature, arrogant, and stupid to offer a fair and legit explanation against what I just said. You are pathetic, you fail. Read what I just said, nobody wins 24hour LeMens in a row, 1st place and 2nd, it's not by chance, we really have gotten that far now. Now shut the fuck up idiot.

  • never mind... bah..

  • Corvettes run a V8

  • corvettes don't have any chance to beat R10. we must be realistics...

  • Corvettes don't even race in the same class as the R10. The R10 is in the P1 class, meaning it is a PROTOTYPE. not a real production car. The Corvettes race in a different class (GT1?) SO YOU CAN'T EVEN COMPARE THEM.

Its like saying an F1 car will beat a mini. 2 completly different cars.

  • Corvettes don't have the "Technik" to race in P1 class... ;)

  • This is rediculous. The corvette is a production car. meaning I can go and buy one right now.

The R10 is a purpose built race car. You can't buy one from a dealer the way you could a corvette.

If you really want to compare apples to oranges than so be it.

  • but remember... the corvette you buy has nothing to do with the one from the race... the engine is TOTALLY different. I can't buy the R10 is true... but I can buy the R8...

  • Have you even seen the R8? It looks nothing like the race car, and I highly doubt they would lift the same engine specification from the R8 into the road car.

The corvette looks nearly identical to the race version minus a rear wing (like the R8's).

You can't say US car technology sucks because the cars aren't even competing against each other. They have different rules, a GT will always be slower than an LMP, that's common motorsports knowledge

  • Hey, I got an Audi, and I am European, and I now that sooner or later there will be a new R8 with nearly 800BHP. Bring me your Corvette and let's taake a ride... The R8 has the RS4 engine, the 4.2 liter V8 90º.
