  • Such a good film!! Wasn't scary though x

  • not gonna lie, i skipped every bit of the film showed in here cus it scared the crap outta me at the cinema

  • The movie was ok,a lot of jump scars[what Chris said,we seen it in a lot of movies],nothing new to the horror genre and the ending, well,I like it!

Overall, the movie is ok,with good performance from Daniel!

  • They should have at least done something bad to the house to motivate the ending of the movie =/

  • The ring

  • The Movie Was Okay, but The Ending Was Awful

    Grade: C

  • Paranormal Activity 3

  • Grudge, Ring, Pet Sematary, Silence of the Lambs, The Fly remake, Vincent Price House of Wax, Psycho

  • I hated the ending but I thought it was a great movie

  • Its alot like gruge i would say

  • The ending was totally shit and pointless -_-

  • @Callum3957 Spoiler!! don't read if you haven't seen the movie!! ...... actually the ending did have a deeper meaning but a lot of people missed it. I thought it was perfect and much better then the typical "she's still here " ending that most horror films have... she reunited him and his son w/ his wife b/c he reunited her son with her ... it was her "thank you gift" too him. So it does have a point b/c he kept flashing back too his dead wife the whole movie b/c he missed her

  • @Trueghostgirl agree with you could not end any better than this, i really liked the movie. 8)

  • I went to the toilet half way though and this little girl was just standing there and I shat mysaelf

  • Scream 2

  • Advice: if you see this movie see it with a friend then sleepover with each other that way u won't be scared to sleep

  • the intro scared the shit out of me, nice one! :L

  • The intro scared the shit out of me...

  • THE ENDING SUCKED MUTHA FUCKIN ASS!

  • saw this movie today.....lets just say i wont be sleepin tonight

  • Noroi: The Curse which is a japanese found footage movie which is honestly, the scariest thing I've ever seen. Check it out.

  • This film was a cross between my two favourite horror films in the last 10 years; Insidious and Dead Silence! Seeing this bad boy again tonight!

  • I felt the exact same way about the ending haha

  • The Grudge, The Devil Inside, Insidious, and this The Woman in Black!!

  • Insidous

  • Sponge bob Squarepants movie

  • What about the movie It that movie is scary as fuck

  • The grudge was the scariest in my opinion

  • I'll probably have to say Paranormal activty 1

  • Poltergeist and The Shining

  • Here's a question for anybody that wants to answer: Did you see a happy ending or a sad ending? I interpreted the ending as positive. What happens in the final scene didn't really negate the last 20 minutes, in my opinion. In that finale, I saw beauty.

  • @TheEscapist1979 First, I really enjoyed the movie. It was a lot better than I thought it would be. I see why most people are disappointed with the ending. Personally I didn't feel anything and hoped for something more. It very much does negate the last 20 minutes of the movie. (Trying not to ruin anything) Think about it, why did they do all the things they did in the last 20 minutes? Now think about how it actually ended. I think you will find there was little point.

  • @cptbdawg Here's how I interpret the ending: One reunion for another. The last 20 minutes shows just how hard he worked to resolve the problem. And though you can see a horrible and tragic outcome, I believe he was actually given a gift. Radcliffe's character was suffering. But if you're wondering about the very last shot? My answer to that is this: "never forgive". This is a hard film to discuss and I hope I'm being vague enough for those who haven't seen it. But again, I saw beauty.

  • the ring

  • Great review!

  • 13 ghosts.

  • Session 9 is one of them

  • Event Horizon!!!

  • The Lost Boys withoutadoubt

  • insidious no other movie will have a scary soundtrack like it and it has a great plot and good acting. the shining is up there to because its just badass

  • one guy one screwdriver

  • My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic scared the shit out of me.

  • Halloween (1978).

  • It's a tie between Insidious, 1408, or The Shining.

  • I loved the movie the ending I agree with you

  • Scream 4

  • Lets admit it the guy that was rich in the town always looked like he was taking a shit

  • You made me jump. But OK HERE'S THE DEAL! There is a part of the movie that I do not understand AT ALL, and no one has commented on it besides me. But I got the feeling that Jannet killed herself before her son died. Because the three of them are in front of the house and Jannet is in the window in the picture. The part that confused me is that she was writing notes to her sister about how angry she was that her son didn't get a proper service. Was Jannet writing these notes after she died?

  • @emjayyap ****SPOILER***** (and could be intentionally be wrong) The Son is Adopted. and the real mother "JANNET" wanted to stay in contact with him. But they Adopted Parent didn't let the Son get any of her messages. She got mad of that. Than the Whole Accident Made her even more mad, because they didn't find his body and didn't give him a proper funeral. SO. she wrote these before she died.

  • Its on the same level as insidious an the exsorcist

  • _* I SAWW THE MOVIE YESTERDAY AND IT WAS REALLY GEWD ;)

  • THE EXORCIST AND INSIDIOUS!!!!

  • I just saw this movie a couple hours ago and I loved it. It's the way every scary movie should be. It's my new favorite scary movie, next to Insidious.

  • either alien or the shining

  • I haven't seen many scary movies because it's generally not something that I plan or wish to watch, but I enjoyed Alfred Hitchock's "The Birds".

  • Oh... and for my favorite horror film. That's a toughie. I would have to say either the first Child's Play or the original Nightmare on Elm Street.

  • (cont.)

What irritated me about that is that it took a while for the film to get to the point and make the audience understand this. And even after that, I was still confused about why Kipps gets all the blame for why things were starting up again for the citizens of the village and their children. (I hope I didn't reveal too much to those who wanted to see it). And I agree about the ending. It just made think "Well if that had to happen, then why did they bother with the stuff before that?"

  • Hmmm... I just got back from watching this movie and it just didn't work for me. Although I'll give it credit for having some good suspenseful moments and Daniel Radcliffe did a pretty good job. I think the main problems for me were that some of the scares were "jump scares" and I've seen it so many times that I got tired of it. As for the plot, it's the usual "spirit in limbo because she wants some sort of revenge for the death of her son".

  • the ring did it for me.

  • My all-time favorite scary movie is The Watcher in the Woods.

  • Comment removed

  • Deifnitely not a movie for me xp!

  • Hmm Eric Striffler (Pretty Much It) called it an average horror movie with bad jump scares and didn't offer a good role for Radcliffe. Maybe he had higher expectations?

I'd rather watch The Orphanage in any case for a recent ghost story movie.

  • @moeezS: What? The Orphanage is years old. Great film though.

  • favorite: nightmare on elm street(2010) but i loved the originals too

    scariest: insidious

  • @bishopsonniertv

dude... You havent seen alot of horror films. You should watch The Exorcist.

  • @ethanpercussion771 pahaha i have i thought it was funny

  • my favorite is any of the halloweens except for that shitty #3

  • Lol the beggining scared the shit outta me

  • can you make a new intro?

  • thats easy.....The Exorcist!!!

  • @thebatmanbadass30000 I've seen it about 167 times, and it keeps getting funnier, every time I see it!

  • @transformerdude4251 well yeah....because you're the devil! lol

  • @thebatmanbadass30000 You're talking to a dead guy! Do you think I'm qualified?

  • Didn't you think the ending was original?

  • Signes by M.Night Shyamalan

  • @GArbedg Signs.

  • Jump scares annoy the hell out of me, it's just a cheap gimmick.

  • It may not be my favorite scary movie of all time but I think The Changeling (1980) is a great film that is often overlooked or maybe just not as well known as it should be.

  • I gonna see it, I know is not scary just a bit creepy. But Loves those old ghostly gothic castle/house in a foggy/greenery sitting, just like it a lot & creepy stuffs in house as u said. Fun to watch it in stormy/rainy day, I’m getting these days

My fav scariest movie is The Exorcist, I did pee in my pants when I first saw it, I was a kid back in 80s & still till today is my #1 scariest movie of all the time to many old school people too.

  • the polterguist

  • The Exorcist. Althou I dont know i it counts as a horror flick, but that made me pee my pants when I was younger.

  • Halloween

  • Van Helsing. Kate Beckinsale's accent is as scary as it gets.

  • THE SHINING

  • Scream...it was the first ever scary movie to get me into horror films.

  • 3 films are basically tied for scariest film of all time...I honestly cant decide but those 3 films are The Exorcist, Paranormal Activity & Insidious. All of these films creeped me out to the point of losing sleep...that to me is an effective scary movie - when they make your imagination go crazy.

  • The Shining, hands down, The Shining. Amazing film!

  • Favourite is Scream as I think it's very clever, though it's not the scariest. Scariest for me is Exorcist, perhaps a cliche but very disturbing nonetheless, especially if you saw it when you were very young...

  • Oh yeah, Equus. The play where Harry Potter shows us his magic wand and crystal balls.

I should probably be ashamed that i came up with that, but I'm not.

  • Halloween (1978)

  • The Shining. Halloween is a close second.

  • r u seing chronicle

  • lol this is creepy? if ur 12, yes

  • Drag Me to Hell. It's got everything--laughs, creepiness, jump scares, romance, grime, mysticism.

  • Probably The Shining. I love how just overall creepy it is and the atmosphere that Kubrick and Nicholson bring into it

  • Scariest/Favorite: The Exorcist

  • Scariest: The Shining

    Favorite: Halloween

  • The 70s exorcist movie because it scared me so much, I've never seen another horror movie since

  • Hitchcock's Psycho.

  • Harry Potter and the Woman in Black xD

    Scariest-The Ring

    Favorite- can't decide

  • The Silence of the Lambs and jaws

  • SCREAM!!!!!

  • IT

  • i think the blazer and buttoned shirt should be the official look from now on, stuckmann. consistency. pro. classy. haha. i'm serious though :) you have the opening and the hook-line at the end of your videos. add in the well dressed / casual look and you got it. look forward to each new video. later!

  • I knew this would be good so im seeing this along with Chronicle hell yeah!

  • paranormal activity one scared the shit out of me did something to my psyche lol

  • the exorcist and the shining

  • Rec 2

  • I'm glad this movie was good! The stage play was fantastic; I'm looking forward to seeing it.

  • The Grudge, The Ring, and The Tale of Two Sisters. I don't know what it is about girls/ women with their hair covering their face

  • The Silence Of The Lambs. Anthoney Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter... (I just peed my pants) ._.

  • John Carpenters Halloween or Carpenters The Thing SCARY AS FUCK

  • A Nightmare on Elm Street. (the original one.)

  • [●REC]

  • trilogy of Paranormal Activity. dont judge me.

  • @LifeSgreeaat i agree, iand i think the first one is the scariest!

  • The Orphanage is my favorite scary movie. But my favorite scare of all time was Exorcist 3, when a certain moment arrived everyone in the theater screamed like little girls and jumped. The huge guy next to me grabbed me in his startled moment - linebackers need solace too. We didn't know each other, but shared a laugh on the way out

  • Ok the beginning scared the crap out of me. I really want to see this, I love creepy, jumpy films and this reminds me of The Awakening which I really liked.

  • I WANT CHRONICLE!

  • I know everyone hates the movie now......But the Blair witch project still scares me to this day, I guess it's all in how you look at it. That movie get's my vote.

  • @TheTrollslayer69 We watch the DVD in the middle of a pine forest on Halloween when it was released. Later that night me and a few friends slipped out of the camp area and setup the hay dolls every where. We had about 15 friends that night. 3 involved in the setup. I was fun to watch the gfs freak out in the morning.

  • I like the grudge alot. and ALIEN. and the wickerman.... LOL

  • Anything from Asia, and occassionally from Europe.

  • 6th sense and The Amityville Horror 2005

  • The Shining

  • Good review Chris, will be seeing this, this weekend along with Chronicle. I'd have to say my all time favourite horror film is John Carpenter's original Halloween.

  • Insidious! That movie was creepy.

  • The first Scream, not all that scary but still one of my all-time favorites

  • I'm going with "The Silence of the Lambs"!

  • I haven't seen this yet, but the trailer has totally reminded me of my favorite haunted house movie ever "The Innocents". So yeah... I'm pretty excited

  • real happy for harry

  • silence of the lambs and se7en

  • The Orphanage...and The Others!

  • 28 days later

  • Alfred Hitchcock's... Well C'mon you already know what it is!

  • Finding Nemo.

That is a damn scary movie, talking fish?!

  • @Cokecakepopcorn

Talking fish, creepy, but what about Toy Story!! Theire talking toys!!!

  • @Ninjutsuist I know, right, especially the part where Woody rotates his head 360 degrees, lol.

  • thats a hard one ... I loved paranormal activity 1 ... b/c I have been an investigator for 8 years and I found it eerily realistic as too the reports I get from "haunted" home owners ... but I love the original amityville horror, the entity (which I would love to see remade), the ring, the grudge ... hmm hard too choose one ..

  • For me, it's either Quarentine or Insidious. Not a whole lot of good scary movies but I think these two are pretty good (that is, until I see The Woman in Black).

  • The Dark knight

  • the japanese version of the grudge

  • The first Scream

  • Great Review as always my most favorite scary film will have to be the original Ringu not

the remake version so when ever you get the time chris do check this one out

you wont be disappointed i couldnt sleep for almost two weeks after watching this

still very creepy and disturbing as hell.

  • The iconic 1973 horror classic "The Exorcist". I'm not scared by horror films, I tend to be highly judgmental towards them, but that absolutely took the cake. One of the most powerful, yet scariest movies I've seen. Fantastic.

  • Zombieland...although it is more of a comedy.

  • .....The Mothman Prophecies

  • My favorite scary movie would have to be REC. That is a very intense and suspenseful movie and probably one of the best first person shot movies ever. Quarantine is pretty much the same thing just in English. But I think REC better overall. Not a fan of REC 2 though.

  • Ghost Story 1981. I saw it when I was a kid and it scared me then. I saw it a few years ago and thought it might be dumb. It wasn't....still scary.

  • Also:

Alien, The Thing and a bunch more, such as Halloween.

  • Scariest movie?

Evil Enko. For the realism. And knowing that it was a true story. It was, disturbing.

  • We Need To Talk About Kevin. Freaked the shit out of me.

  • My favorite is hands down The Shining. Will be seeing this on Friday, great review!

  • the shinning, for sure and the thing 1982

  • Teeth

  • I really love 1408 starring John Cusack. Really freaky and tense.

  • Pulse (Kairo) the original Japanese movie, not the Hollywood remake.

  • let the right one in, the shining and evil dead 2. these films are my favourite horror movies of all time.

  • My all time favorite scary movie is Saw 3D (Saw 7)

  • Evil Dead , but you can't go wrong with JC's holiday slasher movie either

  • The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is my alltime favorite scary movie the original :D

  • john carpenters the thing is my favorite horror film but if you meant like a film that scared you that you loved, which you probably didnt, that would be ju-on 1 & 2, those 2 films scared the living shit outta me, but the thing is my favorite horror film of all time, I hated the prequel though but the original the thing from another world was great, nice vid, whats your favorite and definietly will be checking out woman in black

  • This is the first horror movie I'm going to see in cinema :)

  • halloween and the excorcist

  • nothing beats the ORIGINAL Halloween.

  • Psycho, although its not really that scary, great review Chris!

  • Maybe I won't get Stuckmanized. Just because I would really like to meet Harrison Ford. That would be cool.

  • The Exorcist without a doubt, even the poster creeps me out., really interested in this. Nice review.

  • I love Daniel Radcliffe (I'm biased because I grew up with Harry Potter), so I'm really happy that this was a good transition for him, Chris. btw, my favorite scary movie of all time HAS to be Misery, starring James Caan and Kathy Bates. That movie just feels so realistic and tense, and of course James Caan and Kathy Bates are excellent in it. And the story really, REALLY frightens me.

  • Great review, mine favorite scary movie is the original Halloween
