Also the demo just uses normal 2x Anti-Aliasing but the Final game uses a higher level (don't know what) of AA by utilizing the Cell's SPE's. Yeah, the CPU not the GPU.

GOW3 final utilises new technique called MLAA - morphologic antialiasing, whereas the demo has usual 2xAA. MLAA is done as a post-process on a CELL whereas 2xAA is GPU (not very good on PS3 old nvidia 7800 based arch). They managed to take a big load off GPU hence add better textures, effects, etc.

Saboteur was probably the first game to use MLAA (for cell only).

Imagine what Uncharted 2 would ve looked like with MLAA, well I tell you right now UNCHARTED 3.

hey there is big improvement in the final version, now kratos gets covered with blood and shadows and the depth is perfect in the final version.... one more thing to be noted in the beginning of demo and final game(at the main menu) is that the kratos body is more deep in graphics and in the demo kratos body looks like a plastic model unlike the final version

Dude! this is the biggest improvment between a game and a demo they have inproved alot of things like textures,lighting you can see how they improved the Titan testures in the back ground and you can see the bloom effects on kratos face when he cut out Helius head and you can see how they improved the Cyclups punch you can now see the soldiers flying instead of talling on the ground its just AWESOME!!!!!!

I think it's a little brighter in the demo, and it's much "Clearer".

But it's better in the final. They added Motion blur and improved the textures-you can see this by watching the titan(much better texture), and the flight scene in the end

I've heard that in the final version, they fine-tuned some of the character models and textures, and made quite an improvement on the lightning engine. Also, from what I can see, they've added a motion blur.

I have GoW 3 and the demo on hdd-the final version looks much better: better textures,better lighting, better AA and even better Kratos ;) The colours in the demo aren't better, just the lighting quality was lower and the game was darker;The demo also isn't more detailed-as i said-it had worse textures; So how the fuck can the demo look better? Even though the demo had more vibrant colors, the final product seems to have more detail and the frame rate/ animation style moves more fluid as well. I'm just glad they tone down the flashy glow the weapons in general, it's nice to have a glow but too much tends to get in the way.

btw, the Titian is a great improvement!!!

You can clearly see that the final build is much nicer looking, and the higher FPS count makes it look better in motion too, the lighting has been improved, more orange than just bright red for the Titan. The only really different thing though is that the shields on the guard dudes glow now.

In the final Game, there are more weapons than the 2 in the Demo. In this instance he is using a different weapon. I won't tell you what they are called because it would spoil a great event in the Game.. but yeah :D

woww the lighting effects are definitely much better on the final game. some blurring which I'm not a big fan of but i guess it does make everything look smoother. but more faded. textures are higher res and framerate is higher! after playing the demo I thought it was already excellent, but they had to make the final game even better! santa monic studios has outdone themselves :)
