  • So far 100,0000 views and 8,000 comments....cult strategy? leave people to be the Judge of their own beleifs Andrew

  • well thats me had it with religion, after watching these videos, i feel such a fool that i ever believed in the christ story. these atheist posts are mindblowing.never shall i set foot in church, ever,.

  • @kram83au Welcome to the internet, where every idea is mercilessly challenged and only the worthwhile survive. Religion and faith are idea we could do without, and I am glad another rational person has opened their eyes.

  • @IschysDynamis If god exists as your tiny little mind imagines and hopes for - you will be burning in hell with the rest of us heathens. I personally almost hope that your view is correct as nothing would give me more pleasure than to see the look on your idiotic face when you arrive. Sadly, this won't happen for I know the true saving grace which only the Flying Spaghetti Monster can provide. His noodle love extends to all who open their mouth to his wisdom - except idiot Christians.

  • @IschysDynamis You just claimed to be an atheist at one point in time. Currently you are claiming to be some type of christian. An atheist does not believe in the existence of god. The christian god is triune in nature. The holy spirit is part of that triune god. Blasphemy against the holy spirit is the only 'unforgivable' sin one can commit. If you were an atheist as you claimed - then you blasphemed the holy spirit by rejecting the idea of any god existing and your going to hell regardless.

  • A beautifully simple, and all-encompassing video which deconstructs so elegantly all the scaffolding believers cling to in their hope for heaven. I applaud you and join my voice to the cry, "I'm Still An Atheist!" Thank you so much for posting and keep up the great work.

  • somedays i wish i could believe like so many others, in God. but i can't. telling me to believe in religion is like handing me a square and telling me in a circle. it doesnt matter how much you try to convince me its a circle, it will always be a square.

  • @nickschmitt You become an Atheist by Rejecting the existence of God entirely. I'm a Deist as well, and my oppinion on revealed religion is quite low as well, even though I do believe Jesus and Buhdda existed, and I hold them in high regard as great philosophers of the ancient times (The same way I regard Thales, Socrates and other great western and eastern Philosophers).

  • i think the whole God thing was created by weak persons who wanted to believe that there is something big and strong to watch over them and protect them .same thing with paradise, those weak people fear death so they needed to believe there is something great waiting for you when you die......so stupid.....

    sorry,my english suck...

  • Hey, wait a minute the Flying Spaghetti Monster is like so real!

  • smart man. the video got a bit repetitive but, still, i agree with all of your views

  • Religion relies upon: the desperate, the illiterate, the bigot, the exploiter, the exploited, the naive, the stupid, the gullible, the terror stricken, the closed minded, the segregated even if they think they are not, and those who fear death so much it numbs their senses. I think therefore I am....an atheist! Keep up the good work.

  • Nice job, keep it up!

  • Over and Out. You lose, loser.

  • @IschysDynamis It's not about "winning" anything. 99.9% of the time when someone calls someone else a "loser" they are projecting. Look in the mirror for a concrete description of loser. This "discussion" was about truth, reality and logic. If you believe all that Biblical non-sense, you have no truth, no reality, and no logic. Those are facts. Of course, I'm well aware that facts are something you have never encountered. I'll bet you still think the sun revolves around the earth.

  • Over and out.

  • politicoochie09 receives my commendation, special mention, and his own place on my crap-list in my profile. Congratulations! I have talked to so many intelligent people, and so many more retarded people, but this guy has scored the highest in mentally challenged regards. politicoochie09 reflects great credit upon the world at large, humanity, and the agnostic/atheist community. I hope you receive the Darwin award someday soon! I know you can do it!

  • IF YOU ARE A BELIEVER OF ANY RELIGION AND DIDN´T LIKE THIS VIDEO,DON´T WATCH MINE THEN.IS RIGHT UP HERE,CHECK IT IF YOU THINK LIKE US,RATES AND COMENTS WILL BE APRECIATED.KEEP IT UP THE FIGHT AGAINST THE NONSENSE.SUBSCRIBE TO US!!

  • 2:15 "God loves you."

Woah, who told you that? That's one of the most commonly used phrases from believers - let me help correct that. If you are not in Him and He is not in you, then He hates you. God hates you if you are apart from Him; that's a creed you probably haven't learned from all these things. Yes, I'll say it again - God hates you because you hated Him first. Hope this clears things up.

  • @IschysDynamis This video was a response to many comments I received on the first. All you have managed to do is contradict many other people to claim to be Christian and know the mind and/or will of God. Is it any wonder that those of us looking in from the outside cannot make sense of the religion when such blatant contradiction are evident?

  • @askegg "Is it any wonder that those of us looking in from the outside cannot make sense of the religion when such blatant contradiction are evident?"

It's no wonder. I honestly know why - just like the Scripture predicted, hypocrites and pretentious idiots who tag themselves as "Christian" and make a mockery of the truth. "Because of whom, the way of truth is blasphemed among the Gentiles." Most Christians are like the 6 of the 7 churches in Revelation, corrupt, some worse than unbelievers.

  • @askegg Indeed. I am an Agonist myself.

To me, there may or may not be a God or gods out there.

I won't entirely dismiss it, but unless you have solid evidence that

your so called "Creator of Everything" exist, his rules and laws are actually in effect, I won't

take it otherwise. Being raised in a Jewish family, with a Mother who believes in Jesus Christ as her savior ironically enough and a father who is not that religious plus the internet, I guess that would set up my life values. Life goesOn

  • Comment removed

  • @IschysDynamis Actually, God is a psychopath that loves and hates at random. He's a cruel schizophrenic. Read the Bible without bias and you'll see what I mean.

  • @politicoochie09 "Read the Bible without bias and you'll see what I mean."

Obey God's Commandments and follow His Son's orders, and you'll know what it is to see God. But no one came here to warn you to repent and escape the wrath and judgment that you deserve. It would be better for you to jump off a bridge :)

  • @IschysDynamis See? His followers are just as sick as he is! You think I "deserve" to die in some fiery inferno and you think I should jump off a bridge!? Do you even listen to yourself? Don't answer that, I know you don't. But you ARE a sick fuck, just like your psychotic god. The stupidity and insanity is very contagious. You are a virus on the human race. If anyone should eliminate themselves for the good of mankind, it's the religious fanatics like yourself. At least just shutup, okay

  • @politicoochie09 "You are a virus on the human race."

Yes, of course, because I give to the poor, I provide clothing for those living in the dumps, and give groceries to those more deserving than someone like you. You don't know what you're speaking about, and you have no idea who "God" is, let alone how to perceive anything more than your own blind insanity. Your mind has been polluted and your eyes blinded from the truth. Obviously I struck a chord to make you feel more worthless than u r.

  • @IschysDynamis So, now you're bragging about all the "good" things you do! What an ego! And, btw, the only "chord" you struck was the one that upsets me that there are so many other stupid people on the earth like you. I feel very very worthy, and life is good! Life is actually great! Especially since I don't have some ancient evil god breathing down my neck and threatening me all the time. Your god loves a good mind-fuck. He has really had fun with your little pea brain that's for sure!

  • @politicoochie09 You mentioned that I am "sick" in your last response. I'll have you know that I am healthy and happy, as a matter of fact. Since you resort to making medical assessments concerning my well-being, I must assume you went to medical school and have the authority to make such a claim. Is this true? My knowledge of God doesn't seem to bother my physicians as much as it bothers you. Why is that I wonder? I really pray you die :)

I hope you have chronic diarrhea and die :)

    lol

  • @IschysDynamis You really are too stupid to know that I was referring to your MENTAL health. I don't give a rat's ass if your left kidney or spleen is operational. See a psychiatrist. When you go around wishing for other people to die, you are SICK, yes, mentally SICK. But, you are obviously stupid, as well. But, that is to be expected, because those that believe in god are usually in the lower IQ range. You are very predictable. BTW, I am quite certain that Jesus would say what you said!

  • @politicoochie09 "You are very predictable"

So predictable that you just knew one of "his followers" would rather see you at the bottom of the ocean, than to say, "God loves you"? I bet you predicted that with your awesome IQ and superior intellect. You must really know everything there is to know about life. Give yourself a gold sticker. BTW, you don't know anything about Jesus except what you falsely call "knowledge". Have a nice death, moron :)

  • @IschysDynamis Only a satanic individual would say, "Have a nice death, moron." But, then again, all the supernatural deities, Jesus included, show satanic behavior. By "satanic" I mean psychopathic, with no compassion, and no remorse for not having any. You are typical. I judge you by your own angry words. You say I don't know anything about Jesus? Why would anyone want to? Especially if following him produces mutants like yourself! Read your own posts. WWJD? Burn your hateful ass.

  • @politicoochie09 "You are typical."

Tell me more, you're just so interesting. You have so much knowledge and hold your composure so well; it's not even a wonder why God loves you SO much. lol

Get real. You're just a filthy scumbag loser who has nothing better to do but lash out on someone. I'm bored with you, idiot.

  • @IschysDynamis It's quite obvious from your posts (mostly about death) that YOU are the one "lashing out". And, if anyone is bored with anyone it's God that is bored with you. Maybe, if you're lucky, he will toss you aside and stop fucking with your mind -- then you will have the ability to see the REAL world again. Your God-fantasy is making you stupid.

  • @politicoochie09 Yeah, wow, go on, tell me more. You are so intelligent; I wish I were just like you, doing so much good for the world by being a selfish deadbeat narcissist. I am so unfortunate to have all my dreams inspired, my hopes met, and my wishes substantiated by such an imaginary entity who could care less about keeping my family in perfect health and without fear, while seeing love and joy and the smile on kids faces when we provide them with food. Wow, tell me how I can be like you!

  • @IschysDynamis Selfish? Yes. All humans are selfish, even altruists, (even fake ones like you.) Narcissist? Hey, maybe I'm just trying to be like Jesus, the ultimate narcissist-psycho? Deadbeat? No. I have a job, unlike you, and I'm productive. I try to be kind to people (except to fakers like you.) If you have to brag about all the great work you do for kids, it's doesn't seem so great anymore. You are a fake and the real narcissist here. Take your head out of Jesus's ass for a change.

  • @politicoochie09 Yes, tell me more about my life and my goals, and what I've done and how I perform my duties to God, family, country, and the world. You must think you are so powerful when you speak aimless and empty words that have no bearing on anything that is of the truth. Tell me more you lying nothing. You're just so interesting, I can barely contain it. How do you know OH SO MUCH about the "truth"... lol

Get on a bridge, and jump. Seriously. Do something worthwhile you hairless ape.

  • @IschysDynamis The sad thing is you really think you're special because you suck Jesus's dick. But you are no different than any other human being. You try to set yourself apart by proclaiming your love for your invisible god-friend, but everyone here can see through it. You are full of real hate for everyone but yourself, and you are trying very hard to convince others that you are "good" because you volunteer to help hand out groceries to the poor. We see you better than you see yourself.

  • @politicoochie09 Uh huh, yeah, go on. You have so much intelligence, keep talking. (can't take a hint can you idiot?)

Hey, by the way, you keep saying "we" you schizoid moron. Go get psychiatric help. People just like you are what's wrong with this world, you psychopathic, functionally retarded, morally depraved, stupid Youtube whore. lol

Get a life you pathetic sewage drain, waste of life, parasitic, puss-filled sack of sin and death. I don't have to like you or say 'God loves you'. Get real.

  • @IschysDynamis Actually, you DO have to treat me with kindness. That's what your Jesus said, "Love your enemies." What part of "love" don't you understand? Unless of course you believe in something else? From your post which includes the following: "idiot, retarded, depraved, stupid, sewage drain, waste of life, parasitic, pus-filled, and death" I would say you believe in Satan instead. Jesus said, "whoever shall say, You fool, shall be in danger of hell fire." Matt. 5:22. U R going to HELL

  • @politicoochie09 "Actually, you DO have to treat me with kindness."

You viper, I don't have to do anything you think I should. You think that you're entitled to the riches I have? You think you're entitled as some kind of minority who sues for slander? Well, I've got news for you loser - you already know the "good news" about God, but you reject it wholeheartedly despite the overwhelming truth that you're very breath is an insult to life, God, and mankind. Keep preaching you ignoramus! XD

  • @IschysDynamis Some Christian you are! I give you scripture (that you obligated to obey if you really believe in Jesus) and in return you give me even more insults and degrading comments. It is no wonder that people are rejecting your Jesus -- it's because of people like you, his supposed "followers" that are doing exactly the OPPOSITE of what Jesus wants you to do. You will never convert anyone to your beliefs (another thing you are supposed to do if you are Christian.) You, sir, are Judas.

  • @politicoochie09 You're delusional. I'd be lowering myself to a level that is so base and so pathetic, if I even try to argue with your mentally challenged remarks. I don't believe I have ever talked to someone as stupid as you. Congratulations, you just set a new record!

  • @IschysDynamis I see. Your response to scripture (that you are obviously are violating horrendously on a daily basis) is to avoid the subject completely. Instead of removing the boulder from your own eye, you want to talk about the speck in mine. (That reference is from Jesus by the way.) I don't expect you to know that because it is obvious from your posts that you have never read the Bible and don't care to. You can't walk the walk, so you treat others like shit. You're a phony Christian.

  • @politicoochie09 "avoid the subject completely"

The subject has been, and continues to be how retarded you are. Just because you misuse scripture does not mean I have to argue with you. Besides, I am a firm believer in what I put my confidence in. Right now, I'm confident in saying you are delusional, and I would be crazy to correct someone as stupid as you. Did you want a lesson on how you have taken these passages out of context? Contact your local pastor. I'm not here to rescue you, moron.

  • @IschysDynamis No, the subject has always been your Christianity. You aren't really a Christian no matter how much you insult me. You ignore/avoid the Bible completely by not adhering to any of it. Anyone reading our discussion would agree. The only "confidence" you have is the redundant ability to insult people and to project your own faults onto others. Great accomplishment! I do believe it is impossible for you to have a discussion without name-calling. That's the REAL you! How sad.

  • @politicoochie09 "you ignore/avoid the Bible completely"

Proverbs 18:2, you are the quintessence of folly. Proverbs 29:11, you are an open book. Proverbs 26:3-12, read it yourself to find out. Proverbs 18:6-7, Proverbs 28:26, you're an idiot. You know what, just read Proverbs. The whole book talks about how stupid you are. Enjoy.

  • @IschysDynamis I get it. I'm supposed to accept your silly little Old Testament scriptures, but the New Testament scriptures I quoted you, you don't think you need to follow. But, you're not that special. When the end comes, Jesus will say he never knew you. (Matthew 7:23) Based on your vile responses, you are the exact kind of person Jesus was talking about. And BTW, I KNEW you couldn't respond back without using some sort of "ad hominem" attack. It just doesn't exist in you to do otherwise.

  • @politicoochie09 "silly little Old Testament scriptures"

You really are the dumbest person I've ever talked to, seriously, dumbest; and I've worked with and trained some thick-headed kids while working in management. As for my quoted text, Matthew 12:42, "...she came to the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here." And being that you're dumb, Jesus was referring to His own wisdom; get it? No? Okay. Try again later. You are just too intelligent!

  • @IschysDynamis You must be schizophrenic. Make up your mind: I'm either "retarded" or "so intelligent". You're not really very good with the sarcasm are you? I don't really care about your scripture quote. It has no meaning. Your just a dumbass, one of many dumbasses, that thinks he knows everything about everything because he's read only ONE book--his Bible. Congratulations to you for being bright enough to at least read. Will you ever expand your reading list? Not likely. U R too dumb

  • @politicoochie09 "I don't really care about your scripture quote."

The psychology here is called "projection", in that you beg a contrary argument (logical fallacy), after making incriminating remarks about my faith, and then deny any obligation to the subject. If you don't care about my scriptures or my faith, then quit talking about it. I usually don't bring up things I don't care about, unlike you. You project your own schizophrenic tendencies here. Pick a subject and stick to it, retard.

  • @IschysDynamis Having trouble with short term memory? I gave YOU scriptural quotes FIRST, and you ignored them. So, why should I pay any attention to yours? You must have felt that quoting scripture was irrelevant unless YOU were the one quoting them? Who's doing the "projecting" now? If your computer has a scroll down button, go back and re-read the posts. And, BTW, I do not deny any obligation to making incriminating remarks about your "faith." Your faith deserves every one of them!

  • @politicoochie09 "I gave YOU scriptural quotes FIRST, and you ignored them."

You still talking? I would respond to your scriptural references if they weren't so blatantly pulled out of context from someone so objectionable, that instead of actually trying to talk sense into someone so oblivious to the truth, I would prefer chewing my own leg off as a better idea. It's only relevant to quote something when you read the surrounding text, or else you just sound like an ignoramus, which you are.

  • @IschysDynamis Finally. I was worried you weren't going to respond today. You see, I look forward each and everyday to this -- disparaging your ridiculous delusions, making fun of you and your psychotic god. It really doesn't matter what you say, it only matters that you are in a foul mood after you read my posts. Torturing a delusion moron like yourself gives me a good feeling. Yes, it makes my day! I have a lot of hobbies, but I must say, insulting you and your religion is my favorite!!!

  • @politicoochie09 "I look forward each and everyday to this"

Reinforcing, in fact, the need that you have for psychiatric help. Go get some. Seriously. I'm in a great mood by the way... in case you were wondering about your own delusion XD

You are hilarious! Laughing at your stupidity actually makes me feel better, which is why I even bother reading what you say. Other than that, nothing intelligent going on here, just laughs. You should be so proud!!! lol

    Have fun insulting whomever! lol

  • @IschysDynamis "Have fun insulting whomever"? Don't worry I will. I do this because it is obvious that with your addle-brained belief in your invisible friend that it's you that needs some psychiatric help. I dare you to go back and read all your posts and count the number of times you've called me and others "retard", "moron", "idiot", etc. You have WAY too much inner rage to be normal. Your god has done a really good mind-fuck on you. But, hey, enjoy! Maybe you'll have a brain-gasm!

  • @politicoochie09 You might as well be talking about the Planter's Peanuts guy. You don't know anything about God or my faith, except what you've clearly conditioned yourself to believe about them. That's okay. It's not my head, nor is it my conscience. I'm actually doing just fine, thank you, and in the world of psychology - faith is often encouraged, yes, even by those who might not necessarily believe it themselves. You need to get out more; find something better to do! Your rambling ends now.

  • @IschysDynamis I am disappointed that you didn't use a personal attack this time. And BTW, I do know a great deal about your religion. I used to be a Christian. Nothing is more torturous and evil than attempting to please your fickle, rather stupid, childish, blood-hungry god. I could see through it all. Your god is evil. If there is a Satan, then your god is Satan in disguise. So, I'm not the one "conditioned". I came about my beliefs on my own. YOU are conditioned and brainwashed.

  • @politicoochie09 Hey smart one, "Over and out". Or can't you der understand der, what der that der, means, der?

OVER AND OUT. It means what it means, and I mean OVER and OUT. Got that? Out.

  • @IschysDynamis One more thing, you ignorant fake Christian.... You accuse me of calling the "god of this world Satan." Well, I must be Jesus Freakin' Christ himself because your "Lord" says that the "god of this world is SATAN!" 2 Corinthians 4:4. Do you not read your fucking bible? No, don't answer that. I already know that you don't. You have made THAT clear in every single post. I debate lots of Christians about religion and I have yet to find anyone that actually reads their Bible!

  • @politicoochie09 Hahaha! You thought you were "debating" him? Do you actually believe the things you are saying? Wow. Your neurons must be misfiring. He was right, you really are extremely stupid. Your "argument" has more holes in it than a pincushion; ergo, your brain is all screwed up. Rarely does a person run into someone as dumb as politicalcockroach09. Dynamis, good on you for letting him rant and rave. No one can talk sense into someone as senseless as this.

  • @qollollop Hey, it's q-trollop, or whatever your real name is, one of ItchyDumbasses lackeys! You sound EXACTLY like him. You are another Christian name-caller. You like to insult people, I guess the same way Jesus did back in the day. I'm sure your Bible shows Jesus doing exactly what you are doing. Such a good disciple you are! Keep on hating people just like Jesus! You're really obeying your "Lord" when you do that. Bet you got lots of people to join your church that way! Ha Ha!!!!!!

  • @politicoochie09 You're actually retarded. Do you have teeth? Do you have a girlfriend? Do you own anything? Do you have an IQ larger than your shoe size? Are you able to reach your own butt, without someone else's help because you're that obese? Are you even aware of how stupid you are? lol

Thank God for idiots like this. Makes intelligence shine even brighter!!!

  • @qollollop Precisely the response I would expect from a third grader. But, I'll play along and answer your questions: 1. Yes. 2. Yes, several. 3. I have lots of property. 4. My !.Q. is 155. 5. I'm rather thin and the only one that wants to reach my butt is you. (Not sure why, though. I guess you're looking for a nugget.) 5. It doesn't matter because I'm already smarter than you. Now, go brush your teeth and get in bed. It's way past your bedtime.

  • @politicoochie09 Why not humor you more, since you seem to love it so much? You say I am conditioned, and you aren't? I used to be an atheist. I know all about your way of thinking too. Nothing is more torturous and evil than attempting to "please your...god" (i.e. - Nothing is more painful for me and evil, than to try and keep God's Commandments") Well said, coming from someone who calls the god of this world Satan. That's his doctrine. Satan hates the Law. But you know all about this now.

  • @IschysDynamis No, that's a non-sequitur. One does not equal the other. The torture from believing in Jesus doesn't come from trying to keep the commandments. After all, you people say that keeping them is impossible, and it doesn't matter anyway as long as you declare Jesus as your lord before you die. (The stupidity of that is a whole other thread.) The torture that Jesus provides his followers is constant fear (a Bronze Age vision of Hell) and the many contradictions/hypocrisy of your god.

  • @politicoochie09 By the way, you need a lesson in word meanings. Love is NOT what you think it is, moron. If you weren't so stupid, you'd actually have a fighting chance at a normal conversation. Go to a bridge, and jump. Seriously, you're intolerably idiotic. You need more than just a psychiatrist - you need some love, and not from someone on Youtube, you complete idiot. I can't believe people are giving birth to morons like you who don't know definitions or even contextual meanings! MORON!

  • @IschysDynamis Tell your god the feeling's mutual.

  • @IschysDynamis To quote Slayer: "GOD HATES US ALL!!!" \m/

  • The Internet: Where religions go to die.

  • @politicoochie09 Haha! So true.

  • @politicoochie09 more like 'where religions are dragged kicking and screaming to be killed by reason" but your version is more catchy.

  • @politicoochie09 - Hahaha! Oh! If only religions could die *everywhere*. Imagine waking up to a world free of religions... I hope we don't kill each other off before that important step in our evolution occurs.

  • CHRISTIANITY - "The belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie who is his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and drink his blood while telepathically telling him that you accept him as your master so that he can remove an evil force from your soul which is present in all humanity because a woman made out of one rib and a mound of dirt was tricked into eating fruit from a magical tree by a talking snake." - Author Unknown (unfortunately)

  • @AnotherOpenBook ATHEISM - The belief that by targeting Christianity, you're somehow making a "difference" in a world with no direction, meaning, value, or purpose, where life arriving by complete chance out of a cosmic, quantum fluctuation in some spaceless, timeless void of nothing, from out of nowhere and for no reason, exploded into a floating ball of watery pond scum and electrical charges, that caused inanimate matter to become apes which later become sentient beings that all die forever.

  • @IschysDynamis Religion is highly counter-intuitive, also self-contradictory. If Christianity made sense, then why is the world this way? wouldn't everyone be Christians? Ever thought of that?

  • @espakor " If Christianity made sense, then why is the world this way? wouldn't everyone be Christians? Ever thought of that?"

I'm sorry, but I don't speak to apes that ask stupid questions. Please see your local church with these concerns, because no matter what I say here will not make any difference. However, by telling you how pathetic and dumb your questions are, should prompt you to rethink your life or perhaps just put a bullet in your head. Thanks for your inquiry. Good laughs :)

  • @espakor " If Christianity made sense, then why is the world this way? wouldn't everyone be Christians? Ever thought of that?"

What a genius, did you come up with those inquiries on your own? Wow, you should get a gold sticker. The child who lacks any mature wisdom asks, "Well, if God created man, THEN who created GOD? HUH?" Please learn to think. God gave you a brain; it's actually a moral evil to use it to ask stupid questions. Go seek help or for the rest of humanities sake, shoot yourself.

  • @IschysDynamis Because you couldn't answer my questions, you decided to dodge it and add argumentum ad hominem.

  • @espakor Your questions are just plain retarded. I really don't want to bother. Your assumption that I "can't" answer them is futile, and arguing with you would be just as fruitless, a waste of yours, and what would be infinitely worse - my time. Thanks though. Good luck trying to find your answers.

  • @IschysDynamis - I target religions, m'dear. All religions.

Do yourself a favour, read "The Moral Landscape - How Science Can Determine Human Values" by Sam Harris to know religions are unnecessary for being moral.

And as for giving meaning and purpose to our lives, that is a personal decision one makes for one's self; no more, no less. We are not born into a destiny. We are not special. We're just damn lucky - and probably not alone. Check out the works of Carl Sagan. Watch "Cosmos".

  • @AnotherOpenBook " lucky"

Luck is short for Lucifer. Don't worry, your alien friends out there in space agree with you; there is no destiny or purpose. I would rather hang myself with razor wire than look again at the works of Sagan, who I despise. Remember, I was once a believer in the meaninglessness of life, once deprived of truth and knowledge like you are, and once retarded like you, believing evolution and in my strong conviction that there was no God, based on all logic. You're stupid.

  • @IschysDynamis It's very difficult to communicate with Christian fundamentalists such as youself, who can't see what is beyond an old book full of magical stories. If you cannot answer or do not know the answer, please admit it. It's intellectually idiotic to attack someone's character instead of answering that person's question. As I said again, argumentum ad hominem. at least google that, lol.

  • @espakor "It's very difficult to communicate with Christian fundamentalists such as youself,"

Well, again with the assumptions; first, I'm not a "Christian fundamentalist" and second, quit trying to communicate with people you hate or are otherwise incapable of understanding or relating to. There, problem solved. I have something in common with unbelievers, in that I was an atheist once. I know the other side, I've been there before. When were you a devoted follower of Christ and His teachings?

  • @IschysDynamis - Haaaaaaaaahahahaha!

  • @AnotherOpenBook

    LOL good one :D

  • @AnotherOpenBook hahahaahahahahahaahhahaah

  • @AnotherOpenBook I believe the person quoted was Tyler Oakley, a great presence here on YouTube. This isn't verbatim, but can be found in his video titled "Christianity in a Nutshell."

  • Do Christians actually *really* believe in Pascal's Wager? Doesn't it sort of not make sense if god is omniscient?

  • What do you think of organized church that raised you for so many years only to be proven wrong in your eyes? I think children should get religion free raising until they are old enough to make an objective decision whether to join any religion.

  • @Antipico I hold no ill will. I also agree that children should be exposed to superstition when they are old enough to see through it.

  • omg i'm soo sick of all this, why cant you all just believe whatever you want to believe. I am a christian yes, but i have learned about other religions. i have atheist friends & family members. I have never in my life tried to make somebody change thier beliefs. Its simple i believe what i want to believe if its wrong, its wrong i'm only going to find out when i'm dead anyway so i'll either gonna go to heaven or rot in the ground. Either way i'm just going to enjoy life while i'm alive.

  • @Louisieealice You're the kind a theist I do not have a problem with. In fact, I am married to one.

  • @askegg sorry but i would just like to point out that comment wasnt aimed at you if you thought it was, sorry :S. it was aimed at the people you were talking about in the video. The ones who think they are right at everybody else is wrong. I cant stand people like that.

  • @Louisieealice Ahh - OK then :)

  • Sir, I never post comments. But you are the man for this, Im glad there are people like me and you out there who question everything.

  • ugh, why do so many poeple write hipocracy instead of hipocricy, it drives me insane!!

  • @hipp6y What drives me nuts is people who write "loose" when they really mean "lose".

  • @mandolinic yeah, you're right! i've never noticed it before (i hope i never did it as well-_-'), and then people go justifying themselves, saying they don't care for proper english and did it on purpose, or it's not their mother language, like those are any excuses.

same thing with their instead of they're, and your instead of you're

  • @hipp6y It's "hypocrisy" with an "S". Both of your versions are wrong.

You know that red line that appears under a word when your typing?

It means you're spelling it wrong! Try again!

  • @politicoochie09 hey, you're right. although i do use the online spell-check always. must have been switched to my mother tongue instead of english. thanks. though it's a far less obvious misspell than writing it with an 'a'...

  • why does everyone insist universe HAS to have a cause or reason, justification for existence? it's perfect enough to me without it, i don't need a reason, so i don't need a god, it's beautiful, for no purpose, accept it

  • great vids...True that we arent BORN christians, we are taught it...Didn't you all believe in Santa til you found out your folks were hoodwinking you??

  • A painting has a painter.

    A building has a buider.

Something or someone is responsible for why something exists.

  • @jdelarosa1989 And gods and are in minds.

  • @jdelarosa1989 And the "Face of Mars"??? (Google: face of mars)

  • good sound ; but after your explanation..you talk about some that god ignore too..so you are best of good...my compliment...

read again about point of mass at the beginning of univers...and don't try to give an uman solution to a sovravvatural "probabilities" events

  • Nice video.

  • I applaud you. You made a 10-minute video without the sarcasm I surely would have injected into it. I stayed christian (not capitalized on purpose) for many years simply because I didn't want to believe that my parents had lied to me. I didn't like the religion I was following and so tried to find the "right" one. I eventually had to conclude that they are ALL wrong. I am the only one who can make the right decisions for my life. Thank you for your videos. :) You have good taste in music, btw!

  • You truly have a way with words....beautiful, and yet so true. Thanks - one Atheist to another.

  • You forgot to mention the symbolic rape of the Virgin Mary. Excellent video. Thank you. =]

  • This video makes me happy. :D

  • That makes ME happy :D

  • I would like to second that , it makes me smile as well. Thank you Andrew = )

  • You have nothing to lose by believing, you have everything to lose by not.

God cannot let sin back into Heaven, this is why he will not let "everybody" in.

  • Pascal's wager is the worst argument in existence.

  • Wow, thanks for the replies.

Aha, you made me look up Pascal's Wager. Close to what I said but a bit more clinical, like a scientist. @excandersham, true, there would still be the matter of faith. But I must ask the athiests, would you not want eternal life in a paradise?

@ davism97, how is a Christian in an athiest comment section a coward?

And @ AnimalNitrates, good question, did God create sin itself. I don't think so, but I must study that.

  • God cannot be all powerful if there is something he cannot do. If he cannot allow "sin" into Heaven, then what makes him a god? Also, how does this gel with all loving?

Pascal's wager may be more clinical, but I have yet to see a decent refutation of the objections.

  • I think there's a difference between "all" powerful and "infinitely" powerful. Having all of something doesn't imply you have infinite of something.

  • I agree, but the usual definition of omnipotent is "without limits to power" (as opposed to "has all power").

The scenario you imply could mean a few things: 1) Power is somehow separate from god but he happens to have all of it, 2) God's powers are limited by some supernatural law, or 3) There are things a god cannot do to spite having all the powers available (much like 2).

None of these are common interpretations of God in my experience.

  • @askegg

then clearly you've never listened to William Lane Craig.

    that was sarcasm

  • @askegg

God also can't be all powerful if he couldn't help the tribe of Judah drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had iron chariots. (Judges 1:19)

  • God cut and ran when he saw the chariots!

    :P

  • It's understandable. After all, iron in the bronze age would have been advanced technology. :-)

  • You know, the more you look at the Bible the more you realise they were just primitive barbarians with not a clue in the world.

  • Too true. That was a key factor in MY "conversion" to atheism.

  • @askegg I never really belived any of it. But in my teens I decided to read the bible for myself. That pushed me into atheism for good. I put the bible down and smiled. Now that I knew that it was all total bullshit I could enjoy my life and look for the real answers elsewhere. You can stand back and acctually see the plague that the churches and religion really are. They are like a giant tick engorging itself on humankinds resources and mind.

  • i would not desire eternal life

  • 1st off, I respect that excandersham would not desire eternal life, that's ok, that's choice. Likely the same for all atheists. Just trying to get those people who are "on the fence" to think before they choose.

And askegg, surely God could force sin out of Heaven, He did, he threw Lucifer out remember? And could force you to love Him, but he wants you to choose to love Him and sin is doing the weeding.

Btw, I respect the way these guys are debating rather than lashing and bashing.

  • I didn't call you a coward I said that's (Pascal's wager) the reasoning of a coward. And it is.

  • God is forgiving, is he not?

    He's all-powerful, no?

Why doesn't he just wipe away sin?

The sin that he created, I mean. The sin that he created and committed suicide over to save everyone from (except for the fact that not everyone WAS saved because of some slimy lawyer-like rule that Jesus's death only saved believers).

Am I unsaved? I thought Jesus saved me.

  • I don't mean any disrespect, but that's the reasoning of a coward.

  • @davism97 where then do you find a flaw in this reasoning...why is it wrong to hold religion accountable for it's hypocasy. to question is to be open minded. he presents very sound arguments. god not only lacks existance but the teachings of god themselves contain contradiction, variation , and hypocrasy. present an argument. theres nothing cowardly about it.

  • @roxas12590 I have no idea what you're talking about. Your comment has nothing to do with anything I said.

  • @ToppervisionEnt

    you cant choose to believe

  • so witch god do you choose? theres plenty to go around and each just as probable as the other

  • @ToppervisionEnt "loves us all. your missing the point. if god was an all powerful omnipresent being, then his divinity and existance would not come into question. even more so your god is far from the only one claiming to be genuine. in science a good answer connot be varied, but not only is his existance lacking evidence. but his concept "varies" to from all world religions. thats to much variation, your god lacks evidence.

  • Excellent work!

  • Lee Storbel read his books!!!

  • I have not read his books, but I have seen many of his arguments, debates, and videos. They are very poor indeed. Is he really the best you have?

  • You provide very good points without sounding like a know-it-all.

also, that's cool with what you did with the text.

  • Great videos! And also good music in the background!

  • Great videos. I like very much that you didn't insult or attack the religious people, but the ideas themselves.

  • Great Video, covers all the points a good debator must master to defeat these deluded sheep that follow a god.

  • Wonderful vid, even though i suffer from depression, i can say that i dont believe in god, and im happy about my beliefes..... :)

  • there will be a day that you would know the truth...

i just hope it is not too late

  • @ferre347 Id rather face your god as an honest disbeliever than a liar, as im sure he will know im only believeing out of fear or a promise of a reward. Maybe your god will look upon me as being honest and true to evidence my brain can evaluate and look upon you as a dishonest follower only worshiping him out of fear or a promise of eternal bliss. (eternal bliss im sure would become boring after 10-20 billion years, but you have an eternity to live out... sounds like eternal mental torture)

  • imagine this: if you were in a king's palace and he asked to work for, do certain things for such period of time and he was clear that if you did your job you'll get paid generously but if you didn't do that job you'll be punished.. wouldn't you want to have that reward and fear the punishment.. this is just the same situation..

but the greatest worship is that which comes from total love.. i know my god, he is in my heart.. if you want to understand read one page of the quran..

  • Actually I'd quit or escape: I'd rather forgo the chance of a reward if there was a punishment for failing (be it by accident, ineptitude or indifference)

Your question is truly pathetic - "do you want reward or punishment?" - you might persuade your children or the uneducated and vulnerable like this....

How about you work to better your THIS world and see rewards (not necessarily material goods) here and now rather than pursue false promises (and threats) from a fictional being.

  • please open your heart for one second.. reply to me again if you want us to talk more..

    cheers

  • My heart pumps blood, also your analogy is weak, the king is real, you could verify his existance, the reward is real the punishment demonstrable.

Rather than try to make me a slave, something every fibre in my body will resit, why not open your mind a bit and go read some of the "evidence" for how science explains the world, you will find it infinitely more moving and awe inspiring than ANYTHING in your disgusting holy books.

  • As i said before, i will never be a slave to your unbreakable celestial dictator, you might like being a willing slave, i on the other hand will die for my freedom.

There is nothing you can say that will justify vicarious redemption, this is a vile and horrific proposition and i think unless children were indoctrinated then they to would reject this disgusting idea. Your bronze age mythology is in decline, it might have a resurgence in more backward societies but in the modern world its done

  • I take great pleasure in seeing the collapse of this immorale and sick cult that christianity perpetuates.

Your only rock is faith, retreat to it and stay the hell away from education and the modern world, your a disease that poisons everything, your mind is so utterly lost i fear these words are wasted on you, i hope than anyone else reading this gains window on the reality of your delusion. If anything good can come out of debating the deluded its the fact people see the drivel you post..

  • i'm afraid you're too dangerous for your own self.. be carefull!

  • Ill be careful i dont let religious people try to brainwash me, they are dangerous. Cults like christianity need to be exposed and shown up for what they are.

  • You raise excellent points! :)

  • Vids like this are the reason I haven't made a faith based film yet, pretty much everything has been perfectly covered!

  • The argument about working harder to an atheist may or may not be true, the necessary effort is purely subjective and therefore renders this point moot. But, even assuming you are correct in this, how does that make being atheist wrong or worse? By saying atheism is harder, this implies that Christianity is merely the "easy way out." If you always choose the easy way, you'll likely never be truly satisfied with what you find. It takes effort to be skeptical and open minded.

  • Christianity is by no means "easy". Knowing the Truth does not make following it easier, as it involves putting your selfish desires last and Another's will first. But atheists do have to work very hard to explain humanity's spiritual component, which science fails abysmally to do ("chemicals in the brain, memes, etc.). Science also fails to understand the origins of the universe. I think those are biggies, and I'm not willing to leave those to chance. I believe the account of God based (cont)

  • on the evidence for it. Once I accepted the evidence, I slowly accepted His Truth, and it changed my entire life. I hope you will explore Truth--not as you think it is, but as it IS--because Truth is absolute. God bless you and peace.

  • @Sweet92Sue In all of mankinds rise in civilization there has not been any evidence for supernatural phenomenon, if there was the whole world would change. the world at large is based in reality your window on this magical world where people rise from the dead and walk around or change water into wine is in your mind. I understand your delusion just done try to prove it as there is no proof.

  • I'm not responding to you.

  • You are but whatever, keep your belief that vicarious redemption is a good thing, i think its revolting and am commited to showing you sick people the reality of your delusions, i know ill never convince you but others reading this might pause to think for a moment.

  • When I give you a brick wall, your own hatred causes you to bang into it again and again and again...bludgeoning yourself, not touching me, my beliefs, or my Lord and Savior
