Puppy mills are HORRIBLE... and those people should be in prison and never get set free, but I think that these place are partially to blame for breeders that charge 3 thousand dollars for a single puppy, which in my opinion shows that they, too care about nothing else but money and most of us can not afford to pay that kind of cash for a pet or just don't see WHY we should. Adopting from shelters is great, but lots of people want puppies, not older dogs :(

They keep them in cages, leave them in filth, hardly give them food, don't clean out the cages, don't help the pups if sick, etc. They even wait until some of the little pups die. They have the puppies get pregnant at a young age, so many bad things... DON'T BUY FROM PET STORES, ONLINE WEBSITES, NEWS ADVERTISEMENTS, ETC. Their only reason having that company is to make a profit. Some pups even never get out of their cages their entire life.

I'm only 15 right now but when I'm older I'm goin to be a vet and I'm gonna shut down these mills with the help of other doctors we will give the the animals the care they need and do fundraisers where every animal sold the money goes towards shutting down another mill and will start a cycle until every mill is gone and all the animals are cared for and loved -3 :) like if u agree

Puppymills are dirty little secrets that the mill owners want to keep that way. The really sad part is that mills are legal. My Colorado group works to expose that secret and with legislators to change laws. Find a group,educate everyone you can and volunteer for an organization and let your federal, state and local lawmakers know this isn't acceptable. Meet with them and show them a video or two. You might not vote yet but you will soon enough.

We need to make people more aware of this. Pet Shop owners should try to find where their puppies come from. My question is whether or not pet shop owners actually know that they are purchasing pets from these types of farms???

After all most pet shops get their pets from regular families and may not know they are coming from these farms.

I think pet shop owners should have respectable vets or rspca members screen each animal for any signs of pet farming, and report any suspicious pets...
