Anyhow, a good pump, it's easy to find one, just get one around 0.75- 1 horse power pump and ask for a demonstration of the water and pick the one you want will help make more volume come out of the tap and the shower head for 2.7 times, but no promises on the pressure of the shower head at least.

That's most likely sediment in the on/off valve, disassemble and clean and it well be good after that.
