hmm... dude looks like a DE. Seems a bit too heavy, especially since it seems to be harming his speed and he's not really a bruiser after the catch. needs to cut some, but still an excellent natural pass catcher.
Jeffery is definitely overweight - he looks closer to 260-270 than his listed 233. That is going to be a concern if he can't get down to the low 200s to increase his explosiveness and show willingness to work.
He better have one hell of a training camp if he wants to go in the 1st. This season was a disaster AND he showed up overweight for it as well. Possession WR.
panthers will draft either jeffery o rjustin blackmon with thier top 10 pic. both are great but i prefer blackmon he's more explosive great run after catch
Who better to replace former gamecock Sidney Rice then Alshon Jeffery. If Ponder is going to have any kind of a career we need to get him more weapons than just Harvin at receiver.
I am not really able to watch this guy play but i have watch lots of his highlights.People always say this guys is overrated and i just wanted to know what u guys think of him?
All the hype about this guy I thought i was coming to see the next Calvin. Impressive but not close. Seems kinda slow, is it me or is he getting caught from behind a lot?
Good Hands, Good Skills, looks like every other great college player people drool over. Another example of he will be as good as the guy throwing him the ball and if he is in a pass happy offense , If he goes to a crappy team that has their defense on the field 3 of 4 qtrs and their quaterback is a joke he will have pedestrian stats....
@jpmcam35 I can agree with you on the speed and skill part. but overall i still will take Jeffrey just because the fact of him playin against tougher competition. Both are really great Wr anyway it goes
@jpmcam35 You left out the fact that Jeffery is much bigger than Blackmon. Jefferey is 6'4/237 and Blackmon is 6'1/212. Jeffery reminds me of Andre Johnson or Vincent Jackson, while Blackmon reminds me of Braylon Edwards or maybe even Sterling Sharpe. Both great players.
@irish432 Yea he looks slow but he has deceptive speed and i would take jeffrey sure hands over floyd suspect hands anyday. Jeffrey had 1 drop ball this year. Look and see how many Floyd had 7 i think thats what i seen. Who is the better Wr. Wr are meant to catch the ball not drop it
@MrHornetpride um justin blackmon did.. can you name any corner that alshon went against that's better then prince amukamara or aaron williams? and justin absolutely killed prince ( a first rounder). justin will be picked first alshon hasnt gone up against one good corner maybe except the guy from alabama whose a sophomore. im not taking anything away from alshon but he's not better then justin. sec was really weak in secondary this year all over the conference
@ Have you heard of janoris Jenkins of florida who was goin to be a top ten pick before his incident. This is really pointless tryin to prove a point about who the better Wr is. We both can brang up strong points on who better.. Let their play do the talkin this year and that would really let us know whos better by who gets drafted 1st
@MrHornetpride I definitely agree. Justin Blackmon is faster and may have better stats but I think more of Jeffery's game translate to NFL success. He makes more people miss after the catch, he makes more sick grabs, and all that. Both will be good and high draft picks but if I was choosing, I'de definitely choose Alshon Jeffery.
@MrHornetpride Honestly, Jeffery is extremely talented but the dude is WAY out of shape. I don't see how you can say he's better than Justin Blackmon in any aspect of his game.
@dgilleran Alot of ppl have been sayin that. I live in South carolina and go to the games every wk. If u havent seen him up close and personal u cant say that. Im going to tell you now. hes not outta shape and if u have been doing some reading he has hired a world renown trainer in preparation for the draft. He will be ready. He is going to turn alot of these disbelivers heads. That all im sayin
great video my dude! alshon is da best reciever in da country now that aj green is gone. I wish he could come out this year so da rams can get him instead of julio who sucks compared to alshon
Great Video! Alshon is a Super Star. One of the best WR to come out of the state of SC. I think he will be the best WR to ever come out of the state of SC before all is said and done. He will be a top ten Draft pick in the next NFL draft. I hope he comes back for his SR year but it will be hard to turn down the multimillion dollar contract plus Spurrier isn't a coach who tries to BS the players in coming back when they are this high of a draft pick.

Sure he's a good reciever but lacks top end speed.. I'm sure his 40 time will keep a lot of GMs away from him in the first round

Ryan Broyles is a better route runner and ball catcher....he will be a better Greg Jennings and Jeffery will be better then Marshall.

Brandon Marshall is a good comparison but Alshonn makes bigger plays and never disappers in games.

Alshon is a straight up freak. When I see him I see a 230lb. A.J. Green that can block like Julio. He will be legendary in the NFL.
