  • Cool!

  • wow great

  • how much rpm was that?

  • @vygag There is no way of telling since the video was in extreme slow motion.

  • now do a 13b rotary engine.

  • Hell yeah. Cool vid. How did y'all implant the camera? Did y'all bore a new hole and seal it into the cylinder head?

  • this has got to be one of the coolest vids on youtube.

  • for inside a working diesel engine search: ''combustion - diesel

  • how is this 4 stroke?

  • @anasamla it's 4 stroke because the piston makes 4 strokes (down up down up) to complete the process.

  • @mpkirkwood yea i understand that, it just looks like a non 4 stroke cycle its wierd

  • @anasamla How? It has friggen valves! 2 strokes don't have a valvetrain...

  • is this real. coz the spark should be going off befor TDC not bang on TDC

  • @cuzohsambo if it sparks before then it would pre ignite, you have a fine line of when your timing needs to go off, you want it alittle before tdc but not so much you could tell by the naked eye, just enough to where it sparks and the power from the combustion is going off a hare past tdc

  • @cuzohsambo well it has to wait for the connecting rod go just past the top of the crank so the piston wouldn't push it down the other way

  • @BMAN294 yes but when it sparks it take a while for the flame to spread across the piston crown so you want have peak pessure as soon as it sparks it takes a while to burn. on my car at 6000rpm at full trottle my spark plug ignites 28 degree bfore TDC so whn the piston is at TDC the explostion is at peak pressure creating the most power

  • @cuzohsambo, its real.. look closer, the spark starts at .23 with and TDC is .24, the speed this is moving should put this engine right on time.

  • amazing

  • über slowmo. :P

  • how did they do this is this real? oh so cool!

  • @bad66chevelles it says in the video high pressure and temperature resistant 1000 FPS camera was used xD

  • TECH HELP CONCORD CA Yay!!!!!!!!

  • the intake valve on the right is a lil bent.

  • AMAZING!!!

  • The video is good but it misses out the most interesting bit of the cycle, the valve overlap, when the intake valve opens before the exhaust one is fully shut.

  • @78James Yes why is that? probably because when they show it,everybody knows that the BLOW 'stroke' is bullshit. When the exhaust valves open, the pressure differential from the hot expanding gasses create a vacuum in the cilinder, pulling the piston up and sucking in a fresh intake mixture during overlap.

It doesnt work the way we''ve been told in school!

    :-)

  • @Southslider Hey, they had the flow of electricity wrong at first too. Now we know the flow is from negative to positive.

  • Awesome camera and film

  • That's incredible, the value of being able to see that process in slow motion I bet does wonders for engine design and computer modeling of what happens at run time.

  • that is so freakin cool!! i wonder how they do that without the blast from the ignition fucking up the vision of the camera. i would LOVE to see it done in a ROTARY engine!

  • how was this video takeing?

  • wow awesome video but this time i want to see

su-30 fighter plane's jet enjine in slow motion...(su-30 travels at the speed of sound)

  • It really show's how it's done..great...

  • If the camera is 1000 fps ... then why is it shaking so much?

  • Think of the vibration in an engine like that?

  • So you actually think the vibration is faster than the 1000 fps camera even though the camera is supposedly recording each stroke? How can that be?

I think this is not high speed filming but well timed filming ... camera set to (probably) 1/1000 sec shutter time and triggered each stroke (so you get a strobe effect) with a tiny delay (so each shot is taken a tiny bit later each stroke). Much like when you film a helicopter and the blades seem to stand still due to the framerate of the camera.

  • or maybe they cut some of video to save a bit of time? and who cares its just a cool vid

  • Please don't post on this video ever again

  • Makes your brain hurt, don't it

  • You were asked nicely, now I have to take further action.

Your account will be suspended when the clock strikes midnight tonight.

  • Midnight where? :')

    And good luck with that.

  • Pacific +007 GST.

  • Maybe this a V8?

  • @ jizzmonger : Your point being ... ? I don't understand.

  • @fokGoogol

There are other cylinders that are vibrating the engine

  • your name is jizzmonger for a reason fag.

  • @DeeeJayThrash

My what a foul mouth you have young man.

Do your parents know that instead of doing your homework, you are wasting their government-rationed internet minutes calling people names on Youtube?

  • hahaha im an adult i do not do home work because i work a full time job to pay for my internet so i can call people that have the name "jizzmonger" fags as much as i want on youtube you sir are an idiot and should not be granted access to such technology if you get easily offended over the internet.

  • @DeeeJayThrash

I'm not offended it's just that you're mother and myself observed your posts during our afterglow and were a little disappointed in your behavior.

  • ahhh touche jizzmonger, but i digress you sir should be ashamed of your self for committing adultery

  • ¡¡¡ este es un motor de gasolina ¡¡¡¡

  • great video. how did they do that? What is the name of the music---

  • Awesome video! Thank you for posting it!

  • desde cuando un motor "diesel" usa chispa para encender... ademas ese viseo se usa en varias cuentas...que monce de veras

  • A fantastic example how everything must be in perfect and exact synchronization for an engine to run.

Now lets see a video of a 2 stroke and diesel engine!!!

  • definitely!!!!!!!!!

  • That was bloody awesome. lol @ porno music

  • hahahahahahaha

  • Dunno seems the ignition is right on time, just when the piston passes TDC you have to get a full combustion of the compressed air and fuel or atleast a great part has to. I think the spark plug start to spark at around 20° before TDC.

  • Looks like the timing is a tiny bit out then again this is at 1000fps!

  • It's interesting how little flame their is in combustion as I always imagined huge balls of flame pushing the cylinder down.

  • same here bro i thought there is like a huge inferno pushing the piston down not that little flame

  • oh ya opps i didntt realize the ignition was a spark plug i was loking more at the valves mmy bad lol

  • This looks more like a Diesel cause in an unleaded gas engine the carb doesnt spray that high of pressure. Am i right?

  • its gas, see the sparkplug?

  • quite dumb actually since diesel works with pressure while petrol uses the spark plug

  • a deisel engine runs solely on compression.

    no spark

  • its not a high speed camera

  • Could it be possible that the fuel used is not exactly pump petrol/gasoline? It burns fairly clean. Perhaps they substituted with perhaps alcohol for visibility?

  • This it is not a motive diesel, it is an engine to benzine since one sees that possesses candlestick(spark plug) and the engines diesel do not use candlestick(spark plug), use injectors and the explosion of the mixture(mixing) is generated by the compression of the mixture(mixing) by means of the piston..

  • weird... the flames seems to cling to the intake valve... because it is cooler?

Maybe the heat from the exhaust valve vaporizes the fuel in it's vicinity and burns faster/flameless?

  • or maybe the inlet valve just got completely doused with fuel?

  • haha miniature camera. Go look up "boroscope".

  • phat video dogshagers

  • how did you get a small camera in there

  • idiot, petrol is not diesel, it's gasoline!

    the europeans call cas "petrol"

  • wow...you have proven your complete and utter stupidity. You CLEARLY don't know a damn thing, so keep your ignorant mouth shut. I HATE people who just run their mouths when they have no clue what they're talking about.

Petrol is what the Europeans call gas. It comes from PETROLEUM...moron.

  • lol pwnt

  • its doesnt show the crowsflow

  • single cylinders spark alomst at tdc, with 4 or more you have to set the ignition to 10 degress before top.

  • also notice petrol doesnt explode...it is burned and does so slowly compared to hho...i would like to see this with an hho generator added to the intake mixture ...a video at tdc and one at before tdc...(notice it sparks while compressing and efficiency is lost in an ICE dues to power lost in compression...it becomes a push me pull you and with a faster flash rate wouldnt it be more efficient? thanks

  • what degrees before tdc does it spark i woner/...do you adjust hho for tdc spark?

  • it says petrol engine, not diesel. who said anything about diesel and where?

  • bonjour comment je peux faire pour avoir cette video merci de me repondre zenolove@orange.fr

  • Very much so - exactly it's combustion engine :)

  • I've looked for ages... and I can't find anywhere that a diesel engine is even mentioned.

  • It is a petrol engine as mentioned in the video.

Anyway, diesel is also a combustion engine.....

  • wow papohxc you are a retard. Even though diesel engine was never mentioned a diesel is a type of internal combustion engine.

  • @papohxc no sh*t sherlock

  • the cam was probably destroyed just after the explosion.

  • Nice but why is the exhaust stroke cut out?
