A perfect marriage between a man and a soul, a music and a letter, between the simplicity and a man, showing the simplest formula to keep the love alive. Thank you Roger !
One can fall in love for our era of the 70's so easily. It was our time. We knew what we had and loved every day, danced almost every weekend to almost non-ending hits time after time and hit after hit. All without cocaine. Didn't need it. All we needed was a place a dancing partner and the music....Ahhhhhh!
Roger's has been touring solo and you can have this great experience of listening his classic Supertramp songs, as well as beautiful solo ones. Not only because Roger is the composer /writer of those songs. But because they are part of him, in such a way that during the show he gives life to the songs. The songs dance around the audience, get into our hearts, and we are able to go everywhere.
I had the honor to attend to the magic concert of Roger Hodgson - the soul of Supertramp (Brazil, May 14). It's been a month, but my son (16) and I still have our hearts on that stage!
Great video and I love this song. I think it gets better and better every time I hear it. Roger's great presence on stage is so moving for an artist to make the audience feel like you have a personal relationship with him. I have seen him live and you come away feeling the realness of Roger and his music instead of some impersonal band up there playing for a faceless crowd. He really connects all the way through the music and right straight to the heart.
Never seen this one before. I love Roger's banter with the audience. He's so fun on stage live. Better than any record. You get the know the man behind the songs and it just makes them that much more enjoyable and endearing. Such incredible energy coming through the performance and obviously the crowd loves it too. Thank you for sharing this video.

If god was reborn as a singer, he would be just like Roger Hodgson. He's just wonderful. A voice as pure as heaven!
And "give a little bit" would be just the right line to do some good in this world. :-)
