@MrJuly1990ish There are still some Shakey's Pizza franchises??? I use to go to my local one & they use to show old Laurel & Hardy Movies That is when the Juke box was not playing. First Pizza joint I ever went to & could watch Pizzas being made.
@SteevDragon67 I'm not sure, but the one I went to as a child in my town has been closed for over 30 years, and I have never seen another one...not since about 1978. They had great pizza, or at least I thought it was as a kid.
Shakeys in the mid 70's was the best. The hot super cheesy pizza with extra pepperoni was always top notch back then. The restaurant atmosphere had that medieval feel to it.
There loooooooooooong since gone like a proverbial pepperoni burp in the wind.
@GORDITO1000 It was yummy, indeed. My mom and I used to get one with Canadian bacon and pineapple that we loved. I remember those long tables in there, and the one here seemed to be quite dark, if memory serves.

Did I say Shaky's? I meant Shakey's. After you have spit out phlegm on carboard, you are so repulsed that you aren't thinking clearly, and typos may occur.
@XSevenSonata No, that's Gordon Jump (best know for his role in WKRP IN CINCINNATI and for being the second Maytag Repairman, after the death of its originator, Jesse White). He's also the guy with the mustache serving the pizza.
Shakey's pizza is good, but their fried chicken is like Viagra and Meth at the same time. Hell, I think that's what they use in the batter mix instead of flour!
We used to go to Shakeys every Friday night when I was a kid. My mom and dad would get so drunk drinking beer, they could barely walk. Good times, good times.
@MattieManhattan I don't think so , Boston Pizza is a Canadian franchise that started in Edmonton , Alberta ( where I live ) back in 1964 and since the late nineties , from what I have just read in Wikipedia , has had restaurants opened in parts of the U.S and Mexico .

makes me sad when i think back about my old days going to shakeys, and then realize what has happened to racial indentity in the USA in the 38 years since because of race mixing encouraged by the race nihilism agenda
No one not FROM the Puget Sound area believes me, but we actually had a chain of restaurants around Seattle called "Pizza and Pipes", where one would eat pizza and listen/watch someone play a huge pipe organ...
@shmuli9 We had one too here in Portland called "The Organ Grinder." A huge pipe organ that took one entire wall and you would go and eat pizza and listen to the guy play. Great pizza too...sadly, it went away in the late 80's.
@virnman People don't have class anymore, its all about fast food big capitalism "get in, eat, get the hell out" these days, this effect took place when Reagan got in office, which was in the 80's. I tried to find it last year and turned out to be a Japanese restaurant. The only thing left of it was the shape of the original sign. lol. I thought there pizza always tasted like it was battered in beer though, but I loved it anyway...Oh, how I wish I tried Shakey's with Crystal Pepsi!
I used to go to Shakey's, 1970, in L.A. after soccer games. I remember it being delicious pizza then. It is not good anymore. The pizza crust is like a cracker. But the festivities, old movies, and cheerful employees of the early 70s still are great memories.
I'm old enough to remember Shakey's pizza, and they made gas station frozen pizza's taste good. You could have used one of theirs for a frisbee just fine.
Man, I haven't seen this commercial in ages! I had forgotten about goldie locks and the three bears being in it! Cool! Are there any Shakey's pizza places still around?
our shakey's pizza in warner robins ga on north houston rd still standing and still serving hot pizza.2 of the macon ga locations are closed.i haven't ate there since the 90's.

I'm old enough to remember Shakey's pizza, and they made gas station frozen pizza's taste good. You could have used one of theirs for a frisbee just fine.

We had a Shakey's Pizza here in Lake Charles, LA. They always seemed to do a good business. Don't know why they're not still here.
