I have a question, islam respects and tolerates judaism and christianity, that's fine, but I'm a Thelemite. I don't follow "scripture", but the Book of the Law and occultist Aleister Crowley as the prophet of the beloved star. It's a religion and philosophy that seeks spiritual attainment through yoga and magick. It respects and tolerates ALL faiths. This is my question: Does that mean Islam would not respect my religion?, or would Islam consider it wrong, but acknowledge my rights?

And according to the Merriam Webster dictionary "a plan or program of action; especially : a crafty or secret one".

I'll give you an example of your claim that Allah is deceitful. This Book, we call the Quran, can be changed, destroyed, or whatever, but the Essence of Allah's words can never be changed. Me as a Muslim, I have nothing to hide, but, I will not believe when people claim that the Prophet (pbuh), did things that were not according to His (pbuh) Lord. But, if there are those Muslims who came after Him (pbuh) and did commit sin and wrong, yes that's bad, and I do admit there are sometimes instances where Muslims did go astray, but who am I to say anything as a person against them, or anyone for that matter. Bukhari (52:269) - "The Prophet said, 'War is deceit.'" The context of this is thought to be the murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty unarmed men by Muhammad's men after he "guaranteed" them safe passage. Bukhari (49:857) - "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar." Lying is permitted when the end justifies the means.

If the Quran was that easy to decipher, there wouldn't be scholars studying the Quran for years. The Message that was sent, was specific to the conditions at each time. When you go from grade 8 to 9 does the information not change? The basis stays the same, but instead of learning just math, you learn advanced math, algebra, geometry, etc. Allah doesn't need the help of a mortal you're right, He is self-sufficient, but He does need a body to spread the message.

The Arabic word used here for scheme (or plot) is makara, which literally means deceit. If Allah is deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30 and 10:21).

@kuttenkijker To translate Arabic directly into English and then twist it to your gain is pathetic. I checked the Ahmed Raza Khan, Yusuf Ali and the Pickthal translations and I did not find "scheme". Also Arabic words into English is hard. Makara which means to deceive or to plan evil, also comes as to plan a trap, or set up something in the dark. And according to the Merriam Webster dictionary "a plan or program of action; especially : a crafty or secret one".

You know there may be an incident that has occurred in the past, and you will have several versions of what happened based on the feelings of the people. This is an issue in today's time where people like to dwell on past things and for what to incite hate into one another. There are times when yes we can learn from the past in a positive way, but why dwell on the past? For me, it doesn't really matter what has happened or what will happen, I love for today.

Talking about slavery, what are the muslims doing to the people of Sudan? Quran 23:6 allows muslims to have sex before marriage with women that they ''posesses with his right hand''. But he had no interest in that, instead of that, he started to rob the caravans of the Meccans. He also got 1/5 of the spoils of war [8:41], Zakat and he made the Jews and Christians pay the Jizya, while they were subdued.

But I would say this, there wouldn't have been a need for a treaty if the Meccans didn't persecute Muhammad (pbuh) and His followers. Allah says, whatever good happens to those who do good, it is from My Grace, but to those who do wrong, they can blame no one but themselves. But He is Most Merciful, for He sent the revelation to Muhammad as a guide to mankind.

I'll give you an example of your claim that Allah is deceitful. It is like a teacher who has given the answers to her students for a test, but, because a few weren't paying attention, they failed the test and they accuse her of being deceitful. Yes, Allah may have been deceitful to those who were persecuting and being deceitful with the Prophet (pbuh) and His followers. But how can one who has access to the answers like yourself, accuse Allah of being deceitful.

This Book, we call the Quran, can be changed, destroyed, or whatever, but the Essence of Allah's words can never be changed. But, since the time the Quran was sent down, there have been those who have memorized, and also have protected it that way too. Now as for the Torah and Bible, I cannot answer you why the books themselves were changed, or for what reason.

Yes, He(pbuh) was a peaceful man when He had to be, but like I mentioned below, He fought when He too, and He was a general. Yes, slavery according to God. Treating the slave with respect, and helping them out, giving them equal clothing. See, your definition of slavery is what you see today, but it was not such with Muhammad (pbuh)

Muslim 4112 - A man freed six slaves on the event of his death, but Muhammad reversed the emancipation and kept four in slavery to himself. He cast lots to determine which two to free.

Me as a Muslim, I have nothing to hide, but, I will not believe when people claim that the Prophet (pbuh), did things that were not according to His (pbuh) Lord. But, if there are those Muslims who came after Him (pbuh) and did commit sin and wrong, yes that's bad, and I do admit there are sometimes instances where Muslims did go astray, but who am I to say anything as a person against them, or anyone for that matter. When they die, God will judge them.

Bukhari (52:269) - "The Prophet said, 'War is deceit.'" The context of this is thought to be the murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty unarmed men by Muhammad's men after he "guaranteed" them safe passage. Bukhari (49:857) - "He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar." Lying is permitted when the end justifies the means.

Prophet Isa (PBUH) never claimed to be Son Of God, and nor the status like God. Otherwise, it would throw the whole meaning of Monotheism Religion, which later infiltrated by Pagan belief, and even today, it's celebrated especially Christmas despite the fact that it bears no relevant to Prophet Isa (PBUH). Pagan belief, that encourages strongly Polytheism, and Bible, being full of contradiction is also proof of infiltration. There is ONE GOD, and THERE IS NONE LIKE HIM.

@goldchrist1 ...well ...he (Paul) was writing to a lost "people" of the time...which insisted on worshiping many idols ...something Muslims do not seem to partake in ....so where's the relevance ? Plus, I think the Mormons would fit a better description of rewriting " the gospels" maybe it would be more fruitful for you to apply your beliefs with them ... :)
