Whats a little bit bad with hacks is that environments are good, but you will always be fighting kraid ridley mother brain etc.. Bosses are too hard to code.

DMantra, I'm quite impressed with Eris so far (just got power bombs). If you're looking to work as a game designer (level design), you should try contacting various companies - nintendo included - and use the hack as part of the resume.

I've played Redesign, and while it gets a lot of rave and fanfare, I am personally more impressed with Eris than Redesign. You've done a really, really great job.

Could someone help me out? When i patch the super metroid JU file it says file succesfully patched, but when i load it on zsnes it says bad rom :O I have patched redesign and it worked but eris wont :( Could someone help me out?

It only works with the headered version. Same thing happened with my JU file.  I googled for headered SM ROM and found one that worked

u need smile (if u dont have it download it) then open up ur JU file click on the right where stands CLICK then select something (doesnt matter whice one) then click tools then header then add header then it says done or ok or something then close smile and patch

wow... I've had smile (Well, do you use smile?) for about a month... i can only make standard changes, like more blockage in one area to make it harder....mine took about... (well is going to take) 2weeks.... yours is awesome! you should add some differeent colours to the suit if you use SMILE...

man, the level design in this looks really interesting. the hacks i usually see are no more than banal bricolages, but this has neat reworkings of existing tiles and a good sense of structure.

Ever heard of METROID GOLDEN DAWN?

unless you are a pro I suggest you only watch and not play it, it is far too complicated with so manny hidden paths and such difficulty its just too hard! For me its more fun to watch the videos than actually playing it, but just take a look at the youtube videos first before you play it!
