note at 0:40 "free" is flat in both versions, not sure why either because it's not the highest note you hit in the song. Maybe...you're trying to push to it without enough breath left, or something...if I had been in chorus instead of band I could give better singing advice. I can spot pitch or off-pitch but not really the cause or the cure.

0:20 "bright" sounds like to me about the same note? and also a little flat but not as much. Maybe that's some sort of natural dividing point in your voice registers. Try singing a long rising sliiiiiide up from an octave below to an octave above that note...see if your voice doesn't "shift gears" or flip a bit going past that point on the way up. I'd wager it might.
