What made you decide to use the theme song for the movie "Predator"?

Dunno... Just seemed right. The theme was menacing yet adventurous with that lovely 80s vibe that I wanted to use in the campaign. I ran the game with a bit more of a 80s horror movie flare (The Thing), I wanted it to be cinematic, cause the book is a monster. And to be honest a bit tedious and almost boring in parts. But giving it that movie feeling and using themes people can recognize and associate with, made it easier for the players to get into the appropriate mood.

Janyce and Chaz Engan, authors of BTMOM, have been personal friends of mine for close to 25 years, & I have been privileged to be part of their C of C gaming group, which has a rep on the West Cost for being one of the most intriguing C of C groups in existence. I've read BTMOM from cover to cover, and it is definitely worthy of the genre.

This is a really good idea. Sets the scene for the campaign and gives a lot of visual cues. I've never played Beyond The Mountains of Madnes but I want to now (after we've done Insmouth of course).

Ignore Zajob1990 who hgas clearly missed the point of this. It's a prop to set the scene for a tabletop rolew playing game. Not a movie trailer or video game intro.

No. This is just an intro scene I did for my little RPG session for the BTMOM campaign. I thought amongst all the props and stuff I'd give out, I'd also make a few videos inbetween, like cut-scenes to get the players in the mood. :)

Call of Cthulhu however has to be my all time favourite RPG. I'm currently writing up my own including Nyarlathotep and Yog-Sothoth.

Hi - as the lead author and editor on the original RPG book - I have to say that this is the most amazing trailer I've seen. What a wonderful tribute to the work.

For those looking to know more about the story - just Goggle the title there are lots of websites set up out there that detail the gameplay.

The Call of Cthulhu role playing game came out... god, must've been 20+ years ago, published by Chaosium and written by Sandy Petersen. Now it's published by WOTC and runs the D20 system, but you can still find the old Chaosium version on Amazon, and if you want to play, that's the way to go-- D20 is painfully unsuited for the game, in my mind. I still play the old system.

Those are the actual players names. Not the characters. Thought that way they'd feel like they were more part of an adventure. Anyway, Two characters died before the boat left from New york, the 2 more while journeying to Antarctica, the rest died of cold when they landed. They werent too coordinated. But, I guess I was a tad too rough on em too. :D
