@otreum25 Well, I only heard. It isn't really official. But I think Arma might mean that Spanish word "arma". I don't know, but some websites say Armed Assault is only the subtitle to the title. And people incorrectly refer Arma 2 as Armed Assault 2.

Yup, you can hire mercenaries to go along with you on the missions, but since the AI is so stupid, it's really only good to use a mercenary pilot and helicopter machine gunner or something.

I don't remember when it was made, but as far as I know, it was made by bohemia interactive who created Operation Flashpoint.

Operation Flashpoint 2 however was made by codemasters, who were the publisher of the first OFP game.

I'm not entirely sure, maybe someone can correct me on this. If not, just google it.

Just gotta make sure you have legitimate serial keys and copies of the game, otherwise you'll randomly turn into a seagull due to the copy protection.

No idea here, but if you're after a good zombie game/mod, check out the new "Out of Hell" total conversion for UT2004, it has the quality of a AAA title, made by one man over about 6 years, and released for free, check it out, you'll enjoy it ;)

There is also Dead Before Dawn for Left 4 Dead which is a Dawn of the Dead remake campaign. And a game called Fort Zombie which you'll have to check out yourself as i'm running out of text :P

Try "Dead Frontier" it's a browser based top down RPG zombie survival game. It's pretty good, and the best one i've seen(most addictive anyway). It has a singleplayer and multiplayer option (for playing in the MMO server), and you can do a bunch of things. Check it out online and enjoy, it's good fun, however I don't play anymore as I got other things to do.

There is a game called Dead Island in production which is being made by the same guys who made call of Juarez games. It's a freeroaming first person survival game on an island, and...well, not too many details at the moment about it, but I trust they'll make it bloody good.

You should buy it. Seriously, the games something called FADE, in wich the game starts "shattering" itself until it's unplayable. In ARMA 2 at least, your accuracy becomes real bad, enemies become invincible and you get Watery Camera. I know this because i downloaded ARMA 2 and got FADE. But i only download ARMA 2 because i already knew it has FADE, so i download it to try it out before buying, better than getting the DEMO i think. Now i pre-ordered the game, gonna get it soon.

Oh yeah definately. It could be done, it just requires time and effort. I would give it a shot, but ARMA modding is stupid and annoying, and there are no up to date step by step guides, they all deal with OFP which sucks.

The mod is free. The game is not, you have to buy it. You COULD download it illegally, but i'm not saying where or how. I will say however that the anti-piracy measures for ARMA are still unbeaten by pirates, and you will turn into a seagull in game randomly if your version is not legitimate. You will also suffer a whole bunch of other things that mess up the gameplay. Just buy it on ebay, you can get it nice and cheap :)

I didn't make this mod and I am not tech support for it. I can only assume that you haven't downloaded the Yomies Addon. If you have, make sure it is in the addons folder along with everything else.

As mentioned before, I did not make this mod. So to answer your question, I didn't make the base, it is already in the mod ;)

I'm not sure what you mean by things spawning on top of one another.

As for motorcycles, you can find them available to buy at any vehicle store (flag) like shown in this video ;)

It does work for singleplayer aswell, however it's best to make a LAN server for yourself as then you can set the game settings in there.

And if you go to kill zombies, i would recemend that you use a g36 (any type) in single fire mode so you can get headshots off of them if you just are goanna kill, not rescue survivors.

Yup, but I was just showing that you could use a bank in the game without having to do that later on. NOTE: it's not advisable to take money with you into the zone especially if you plan on saving survivors, if you die, you lose it all, or most of it.

Well ARMA 2 is out in some places, and coming out in other places soon, so I would guess that someone will make a quarantine mod for ARMA 2.

As for ARMA 1, it's still a damn good game, the AI is stupid as always, but the gameplay is good fun especially when you play with friends. The later patches for ARMA 1 have a warfare mod which is good fun as it's like an RTS/FPS, the game is worth buying JUST for that alone.

But personally I would advise just getting ARMA 2.

haha, yeh, my brother and I rode on the motorbikes when we first played trying to find survivors, and if you hit anything your bike gets wrecked, so it's fun to ride around dodging zombies. On that note, we havent run out of fuel, but we have both wrecked our bikes and become stranded, and we got owned while defending a rooftop.

Oh I didn't make the mod :S I was just showing videos of gameplay for everyone to see because I think the mod is really cool.

I am working on my own game however (hence why I say i've been busy), and have been doing so since the end of 2005. Started out knowing nothing about game development other than map making for half life, and now working on every aspect of game development on my own, with plans to run my own studio.

It would be good if they had a server up for Australia, it's hard to find any decent australian game servers up for decent games. Now days it's all about the crappy counter strike style games.

Anyway, there is a cool online top down zombie survival game called "dead frontier" it's the best top down zombie game i've played yet.

BTW the music at the start of the video's is my own...It's from a game i've been working on for a few years. That's all i'll tell you ;)

I've played Quarantine before. I have had some experiences with it on a old server that hosted it thats now down.

It's a mp server, just a LAN one that I created. You can play quarantine as a singleplayer mission but you can't choose the settings of the game before you start. So I just make a mp LAN server for myself, usually my brother and I will play together on this one and it's great fun.

It's just so awesome riding on motorbikes behind one another throat a town full of infected, trying to dodge them and the wrecked cars.
