They chose well. Best three players in my opinion:

1 - Greg Alexander - What a legend.

2 - John Cartwright - he was the best second rower going round in the late 80s, early 90s.

3 - Brad Fittler - just damn great.

I would have left Gower out and put maybe Steve Carter on the bench.

My favourite Penrith memory is while living in Canberra I saw the Panthers smash the Raiders in Canberra (either 90 or 91) and saw Brad Izzard absolutely smash John 'Chicka' Ferguson. The whole crowd moaned.

still remember greg alexander and his field goal and try conversion the year they beat canberra 19-12 trailing 12-6 at halftime.... their joy was shortlived the year after because of ben otherwise they would have won a few more titles
