When he said a lot of the merchants are trapped in the centaur camp, you would think they might need a lil bit of rehabilitation or psychotherapy before they are "selling wares" again. hahaha
They've actually addressed this. In one of the demos, during a centaur fight, they explained that the game monitors both the amount of players and the activity of players. It will remove a player from the difficulty setting and/or lower their loot if they just sit there firing a single arrow per minute. This helps lowering the difficulty for inexperienced players and removes any chance of player grief.
@Isanion Concern solved: According to ArenaNet, dynamic events don't count that player unless you contributed towards the event (i.e. attacked at least one enemy). So the dynamic events won't rise if people are just loitering there; however, enemies are bound to attack making players fend for themselves. CONCERN SOLVED.
