The Nexus S S-LCD version's screen has the conventional RGB matrix, right?

As everyone caught on, the SAMOLED has darker blacks, slightly better colors, and a somewhat better viewing angle from the sides (i see no difference from the bottom). The videos looked absolutely identical to me. The only downside of the SLCD is a slight bluish tint.

My guess is, if you have the SLCD version, you won't be disappointed. The only time you'll notice any difference is when you'll have a SAMOLED Nexus next to yours. I'm still pissed they didn't release the SAMOLED version in EU.

I love SAMOLED, though I am leaning more towards LCD if I got this phone now, only because the Pentile would drive me crazy browsing etc after getting used to a SGS2 for a while.

@rspecr yeah true but the nexus s is the only regular SAMOLED phone that I've seen that doesn't have the blue tint. Google released a minor update to make the screen warmer in color. So the nexus s has the best SAMOLED screen out of the galaxy s lineup.

here is the real thing:

in SC-LCD you get he real colors for example blue is blue as you see it by your own eyes. And in Super AMOLED blue is DARK blue so it is different from the real blue that you will see by your own eyes. So its about your personal preferences... for gaming,apps,fashion,wallpapers­...

Also just so everyone knows the one on the left is the i9023 which is SCLCD and the right is SAMOLED i9090. You can tell what screen it is buy the model number you buy.

LCD always has a reddish tint to the screen and consumes more battery but the saturation is normal and looks natural. AMOLED is too saturated, the green looks unnatural, but the adv. is that it consumes less battery and the black, is black.

if you could increase the colour saturation of the SC-LCD it would match the Samoled perfectly when looking straight on at them both, its only when viewed from an angle that you see the diffrence in quality.

SAMOLED white has kind of blue in it... great quality other colors though, amazing black! Too bad here in Greece we only get the SC-LCD version (which I am getting tomorrow morning).

There is some places in the world that's not important to Samsung yet, hence they get SLCD as Samoled demand was too high for their devices, so they put the best technology in key areas.

it is not SLCD but SC-LCD which means Super Clear LCD much more better than SLCD, LCD and AMOLED. Even SC-LCD not as good as SAMOLED but it have a very natural color while SAMOLED is like oversaturate.

overall, it is depend on personal preference. Some people love SAMOLED and some people love SC-LCD and some people love SLCD.

@StarZu93 Sclcd is the exact same as slcd, the only difference is that Sclcd is made by samsung where as Sony made the slcd. Same technology, same dpi, same pixel density, same resolution, just branded with different names.
