On the site shown in the video there is now ( January 15, 2010 ) an update for the ones with the stickers in GERMAN too. And my dsi is german so this IS the update for the firmware right?

Actually, I'm getting the new R4i V1.4. It is updateable AND upgradable and I know R4 works well because I have had them for the past couple years. It is also less than $30. they gave me the site and told me everything themselves in a couple emails. Also, I have been to the Acekard website and it says not to update DSi. I'm guessing the update that people are doing is unofficial.. So yeah. If anyone wants to know how the R4i V1.4 works or wants any info you can ask me.

OMGosh dude!! I emailed them yesterday. They replied to me today and told me this:

Dear Customer: First of all,we appreciate your feedback and your support. We will release the new kernel within this Friday . but the new kernel can not support the old card current.we will try to improve in near future. we apologize for the case cause any inconvenient !

It's hard to say, but I recommend waiting for the update they are releasing this week. Find out what the update is and read any new info they post. If there is nothing useful, you can either wait until they "improve in the near future" or just buy the newest R4i, or different card depending on how you feel about R4.

TODAY WAS TE ESTIMATED RELEASE DATE not the ACTUALL RELEASE DATE, the real release date accoriding to R4i is around either thiss weekend or next week. AK2i doesn't work with 1.4X they never made it work, some random dude did, it's un-offical software.
