You would think people wouldn't care about a video like this.. But these are golden to me.. I love the behind the scenes videos just as much as the concerts..
Do you think the kids understand the significance of standing on a stage with the same man who brought Pink Floyd up? I literally would have crapped my pants if I saw Mr. Waters on stage smiling at me!
What did it for me is how in Toronto Roger recruted the kids from the regent park community center, witch is'nt the best place in Toronto to live, even through it's being rebuilt, he could of gone to some snotty rich kid school but he did'nt...
@janmadytay wow...that sounds cool to me. Roger has seemed to have toned down a lot. Heck even him and David are now getting along much better. Thanks for the response, and Shine On!
I thought the kids on stage were fantastic. I remember that during the show thinking to myself that Roger is mortal but The Wall as music and concert is immortal. Perhaps the kids somehow symbolize a passing of the torch so to speak. In my video from the Tacoma Dome on December 11th a little girl peels off the line to dance in front of Roger. Its really cute. Thank you for the video.
Apologies for being the spoil-sport / wet-fish, but for me the whole 'kids on stage trying to dance' thing doesn't work in the context of The Wall.
I know Roger is trying to introduce some more humanity into the original piece, and I'm sure for the kids it was an awesome experience, but I just find it a little too corny for this show. I'm sure I'll get lots of thumbs down, but everyone's entitled to an opinion...
@vikdad yes on the bass! makes my speakers pop over here...it could be felt in every bone and what ever else in my body lol. I like the sound going by the huge control board down there. That thing puts out an interesting powerful buzz sound. Lots of electricity I guess.
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed it. Shine On!
@echoes707 Yes I had a fantastic time. The music was really good!! Roger was kicking ass...he is so damn good still! I did not see David Gilmour...I looked all over :( Jon Carin and Harry Waters were good, and Snowy White. Snowy White want's me to do something for his web site, but I am old man and scared lol maybe I will, I dont know.
Take care Jean, glad you like Under The Wall...I hope you have a good time when he gets to your area.
@FatmanCaufield Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, Roger is really good at what he does, and does so much behind the scenes thinking and working things out for each show.
I want the shirt that the kids are wearing.

The kids should have been wearing school uniforms in my opinion

As a teacher...I really don't like the idea of kids flipping off that puppet...

I like the whole backstage to front row journey. Reminded me of GoodFellas.
