ok you cant use those two screenshots to compare because the GOW2 picture is of actuall gameplay and if im not mistaken, the resistance one is of a cutscene or something and not actuall gameplay.
the graphics in cutsenes are always much better than the graphics in gameplay so it doesnt really make it fair.
and you missed some awesome weapons for gears 2 like the mulcher and the morter.
Gears of War 2 online fails, GOW1 online is where the true compitition was at. I would easily prefer R2 online over GOW2. However GOW2 and R2 are both extremely good games.

graphicaly i agree the broader colour pallete wins it, but the limited palete in g0w2 is to do with the apocaliptic scenario.

you obviously dont have r2, cuz it DOES NOT LAG. that was one of the best things about the first game, and its still present in resistance 2. you can also have two people playing on one console online, and it still doesn't lag. and there aren't medical packs in r2 lol. i like gow2 single player more, but r2's multiplayer more. they did a grudge match on ign with gow2 vs r2, and they said the multiplayer in r2 was better than gow2 (tho thats a personal preference thing), but i think it is too.
I agree and not to mention that gears 2 has been officially declared the most visually impressive game of all time. (take a look at the Intestinal Fortitude level will ya).
And the way you cover start to crush with bullets hitting it. In most games a wooden table is invincible.
Besides Resistance 2 is too nice. Gears is unbetable when it comes to violence and gore. Trust me you'll never get tired of chainsawing people.
Gears is overall a much better experience than Resistance.

Got both games and i gotta say Gow2 Better graphics but i do have to say that the coloring in gears of war 2 dissapointed me Gow1 had way more better coloring and look more dark and i liked that part of gears. Well, playing both games would have been quite tricky since they hadn't been released when he made the game. but, yeah, it would have been more accurate if he had made it after they were released. But it was the best that he could have done before they came out.

R2 all the way I have played both but GOW2 is basically GOW1 with UE3 graphics.R1 had alot to improve on and it excedeed by expectations and then some.the boss fights are jaw dropping and the level detail is incredible and the gameplay is alos great.
1.Gameplay... is nothing about how many gay friends of yours can squeeze-in. Gears has the pace of non stop action and break-through STOP & Pop.
2.Graphic... how can you compare anything with unreal3 engine, dynamic shadow, post process unit. For your info, the gray fade hud could be set to different extent! Insomniac 2 engine has poor fire effects and low polygon and pixel when it comes to water (don't judge the graphic if you don't know any shit about engines!!!)
I have R2 and I must say that the storyline is incredible, many twists, and shocking, especially the ending. The intel you can gather throughout the game makes the game 20x more 'omfg, R3 is gonna be so ill' and the intel is very interesting. The bosses are also one of a kind. They are massive and have their own special ability.
For multiplayer, co-op is incredible. Hordes of Chimera attack you. Competitive mode is fun at first but gets boring but The in-game competitive system in R2 is horrid.

like the way i mean when i say a lot of aliens its like a ambush sometimes of aliens there isn't a lot of variety of aliens. While in gears of war some people might not think so but if u play on insane mode u have to have strategy, like where the horde comes but uhave to know where to go to kill them and pop out of where and while in resistance it' like they scram at u and u cant take cover or anything.
for resistance 2 in co op or any online gameplay you have to work as a team. one or two persons puts up a shield and everyone stays behind it and shoots. you obviously havent played or else you wouldnt have open your mouth.

The only thing I don't like is that it is a 3rd person and the charecter seems a bit too bul for that (unlike lara in the lara croft games, she is quite skinny and doesn't tae up much of the screen). Hey own both consoles and played Resistance 1 and Gears 1. I've watched Gears 2 play and it doesn't really appeal to me everything looks too big I like the proportion of the resistance games. Will put the comment most 360 players will go Gears because of gamestyle and genre.

yes it is pick up and play but run and gun is the most unimaginative gameplay style ever.
ratchet and clank did run and gun, there is nothing new about it.
gow2 IS easy to play, there is one button to aim, on to fire, one to reload, and one, count it, ONE! button to control the covering.
once youve mastered that why not take the massive leap to pressing the left d pad to be a shotgun?

Got both games and i gotta say Gow2 Better graphics but i do have to say that the coloring in gears of war 2 dissapointed me Gow1 had way more better coloring and look more dark and i liked that part of gears. While Resistance eh not the best game ive played 60 players is just to easy for me and i end up stealing so many kills and i put no effort cuz most of the players im facing arent looking at me and i pwn them sorry man but u should of made this video when u actually played both games.

R2 all the way I have played both but GOW2 is basically GOW1 with UE3 graphics.R1 had alot to improve on and it excedeed by expectations and then some.the boss fights are jaw dropping and the level detail is incredible and the gameplay is alos great.

2.Graphic... how can you compare anything with unreal3 engine, dynamic shadow, post process unit. For your info, the gray fade hud could be set to different extent! Insomniac 2 engine has poor fire effects and low polygon and pixel when it comes to water (don't judge the graphic if you don't know any shit about engines!!!)

I have R2 and I must say that the storyline is incredible, many twists, and shocking, especially the ending. The intel you can gather throughout the game makes the game 20x more 'omfg, R3 is gonna be so ill' and the intel is very interesting. The bosses are also one of a kind. They are massive and have their own special ability.
For multiplayer, co-op is incredible. Hordes of Chimera attack you. Competitive mode is fun at first but gets boring but The in-game competitive system in R2 is horrid.

While in gears of war some people might not think so but if u play on insane mode u have to have strategy, like where the horde comes but uhave to know where to go to kill them and pop out of where and while in resistance it' like they scram at u and u cant take cover or anything.

for resistance 2 in co op or any online gameplay you have to work as a team. one or two persons puts up a shield and everyone stays behind it and shoots. you obviously havent played or else you wouldnt have open your mouth.

Dude, nice vid. I am a resistance player and am getting the game the day it comes out. A truly enjoyable play:-). I actually like gears too. I haven't played the second one yet. The only thing I don't like is that it is a 3rd person and the charecter seems a bit too bul for that (unlike lara in the lara croft games, she is quite skinny and doesn't tae up much of the screen).
