@onpsxmember yeah, you are right...i used to never use my pinkey, but now i use it all the time-even when i shouldn't. it's all personal preference, though. metallica stole that double hammer on riff and put it in the day that never comes, and using a pinkey is kinda a must to stretch all those frets.

@m169marroquin I know you're pretty accurate on most of the stuff you post, I wouldn't be a subscriber otherwise. The best thing for learning any song is to use more than one source, e.g:

Learn as much by ear as you can

Watch videos of the band playing live

Use a good source for tabs

I know you use all three of those, and so do I. It's the best way to improve.

@m169marroquin Just thought I'd point out that tab books are never 100% accurate either, regardless of whether they're official or not. They're written by session guitarists, and the band the tab is for usually have no part in it. They're all transcribed by somebody who's just looking to get paid quickly.

The way most tab books transcribe Master of Puppets is wrong, for example.

Not flaming or anything, I'm just saying don't keep referring to the tab book as though it's infallible.
