"Pedestrian" is a compliment. This is Australian composition at its worst - full of clliches, orchestration that fell out of Weeties packet, no sense of subtle growth...God help creativity in this country !
on of the most interesting composers in australia today....yet as a woman i think she is ignored...still.!!..in favour of say carl vine..who i find tedious and pretentious
I see what you mean, it sounds like the music they play when they have a montage of everyone looking pretty upset or something, but there's no need to be wry.
How wonderful ! The repeated pitches really encourage me, somehow soothing the uneasiness of mind. A very strange feeling. The detailed descriptions always heip me more to understand the music posted. Thanks for sharing a nice music.

vexme2: I agree, although I still like it, and the 1st movement of Clocks is pretty good.

I love her, would be her slave just to hear her composing. Elena, if you're out there, do you need a slave?

Any idea if the sheet music for the piano part for this is available? Has she published it yet? Amazon doesn't seem to have a listing for it

i love this piece.
It's pretty film-oriented, and it has quirky bits in it which makes it more unique. =]

I never heard of her before. It's well written but not very original IMO.
