@maxou5757. Both were modded and the vw had its turbo spooled. Do this from a dead stop and you might learn that the first 15-20 mph is more engine than anything.

I'm not saying mine is fast just yet because I haven't ran an 11sec 1/4 mile pass which is what I consider quick.. Right now I'm only good for a 12sec 1/4 mile. But other than me, there are 500+whp tC's, 700+whp tC's, tC's that own the Time Attack circuit championships in both Unlimited and Modified class.
Not to mention the Konig Challenge championship tC, and the 24hr of Thunderhill tC. I have raced and beaten 400whp cars in my tC as well, so whether you think people don't buy a tC to go fast or not, don't change the fact that tC's are taking championship trophies in just about every motorsport, as well as spanking cars when the tC is boosted. My tC would pull on both the cars in this video without breaking a sweat.
And I saw your other comment by the way. LOL....how you going to tell me how much HP is in MY car? Did you magically peek into the cylinders or something and do a mathematical computation to know how much whp it's putting down. LoL...280whp? Dude tC's do that on 9-10lbs of boost. I am pushing 12lbs. And no I don't have a Dezod setup. I don't buy Dezod.
lol nah i didnt see your tc. I though you was just another high school kid talkin non sense. My friend has a tc and is thinking about geting the dezod turbo kit. I told him not to just build his own. Me im looking to get an xrs myself. Just wondering how much you put down in that tc?
High school....lol. I graduated HS back in 1998...lol. Best turbo kit for the tC now is PTuning. It's leaps and bounds over the Dezod turbo kits. It's designed off of PTuning's Time Attack tC. They make 504whp in their tC on a dyno dynamics dyno. That would be like 550whp on a dyno jet. Chris Rado's Time Attack tC is estimated to pump out 800ftbs of tQ this year. They stroked the motor to 2.7L. I sold my turbo setup so I can get the PTuning one.
And Yes, I've beaten 400whp cars (Procharged Mustang GT 440whp, and I was dead even with a 380whp 300zxTT). I had a blow turbo on top of that. Those cars weigh more than me, hence why I was able to hang and beat some. I won by a headlight against a Camaro SS on 100shot. All the videos I have on my page if you noticed are all 8-9 PSI of boost. And you see how quick it is just at that boost level. I'm pushing 12 now, but soon will be at 14 lbs + methanol injection Good for 370-380whp
I didn't realize winning was a waste of money. Anyhow, it's getting setup for Time Attack now anyway. Not much of a street racer anymore, I'm getting more recognition for building it into a Time Attack car. My tranny should be back from PTuning in a day or two, just got the LSD installed. More to come with my tC. Plan to run 11's on the stock motor during the non-Time Attack days.
Yea that nice lsd make a big difference. My first car was an 85 corolla with a trd lsd. It was quick as ball one of the best handling car i have ever driven in my life. Ive seen the D1 tc awhile back and thought it was pretty sweet
I use to have a 97 rolla. Loved that car, I was on my way to buy the 350z when the clutch went out in it. Good thing I was only about 2 mins from being home when it happened, and my fiance was behind me in our new 350. There are 2 D1 tC's now you know that right? Second one is driven by Tanner Foust and is powered by the V8 that Toyota puts in their Nascars. Has a Supra rear end. First outing, Tanner placed 3rd with it. Gushi put his tC into a wall, not sure where he qualified though.
haha danm that sucks. I heard about the 2nd one but never seen it in action. That sucks about gushi. RIght now im planing to buy ether an old FC rx7 really love thos cars or a is300 and a older sc300. It anything ill just get and xrs like this one. Ive seen one turbod in Puerto rico making around 400hp its really nice
Kool.....only problem with the XRS though, is that they really don't have much of an aftermarket support for them. They are JUST now even developing an intake manifold for them. Just about everything in Puerto Rico is fast...lol. There is a tC in Puerto Rico putting down 500+whp and Reving to 8000k rpms.
@rdmcdani yea that happens to 1.8T GTI's. they run out of puff after a certain speed and unless they have an upgraded intercooler, they get heat soaked bad. clean run though
