oyeah?!?!?! i know a guy with a 402 LSX, charged by a single blower making over 1600 hp. didnt wreck any tranmissions cause he built it right and knows how to drive. you'll learn that someone will always be faster.

pffffffffft. those are nothing, my buddies got a twin turbo LS9. thats right LS9 with over 1300Hp and 1400 ft lb of torque in his rail. we called it the mistress...over 185 MPH on sand

these cars are in the 60-100g's range. closer to the 100 mark if they are a big name like suspensions unlimited. they appear to be from a bigger builder, because they are nearly identical

in the smaller sand rails, vw engines(NOT beetle engines. the ones generals used are HUGE turbo vw motors) are used, but in big ones like that, they usualy use some type of v8. the ones in the video sound like an LS1 motor(corvette engine)

yeah pretty much as long as its the old aircooled style motor. but really, you can use any engine you want in those things. alot of them have maxda rotary motors, or honda, or even BMW v8's. i have seen a few that have viper v10's in them. in sand rails, you usualy use the vw transmission, which you can connect any engine to with the right parts. hell, my vw bug has a 2.0L engine out of a porsche 914. i have videos on my page if you want to check it out...

You can use any kind of engine. As long as it is air cooled. Don't listen to people when they say BMW or VW engines. And sure as hell they are not V8's. Most POWERFUL sandrails have 1000cc - 2000cc engines. Lots of people have Briggs & Stratten 6.5hp engines. You could buy a cheap working sandrail for less then $4,000. I've seen used sandrails as low as $1,000.

you are fucking stupid. these are long travel sand cars, not old piece of shit beam cars with vw crap. these are mendeola or fortin trannies, lsx engines, billet everything 24" of wheel travel. these cars are easily 600+ hp costing more than kevins house. they are DEFINATELY v8's very few people use vw anymore and 1-2000cc are closer to the least powerful not the most powerful.
