I am a professional storm spotter with NOAA reviewed this several times, this was NOT a real lightning strike the boy was standing in water with no shoes on, if this was a real strike the charge would have carried through the ground & water and having no shoes on the boy would have become a lightning rod thus killing him!! You cant fool the trained eye and NEVER run barefoot in water in a thunderstorm unless you are trying to kill yourself!!!

I watched the video several times, and it's not fake, there really was a lightning strike. But it didn't hit the kid. The strike was VERY close and scared the crap out of him. Thank God the lightning didn't hit him, otherwise it would have killed him...and I don't know about the other sickos here, but seeing a kid getting hurt or killed isn't funny to me.

But who the hell let that kid run outside to the middle of an empty field during a thunderstorm?? That's ASKING for trouble.
