I hate to say it, but you're kinda right. While I can say that you can definitely emulate energy with an acoustic, the electric really exemplifies power, aggression, and lunatic antics in general.

I wouldn't say that you NEED an acoustic, just that having an electric, you can get massive sounds, crank up the volume, distortion, whatever, acoustics are like, the more laidback, chill instruments, while electrics are like RAHHH!!!

This lady was posting a vid to entertain as well as offer a lesson in music. If you don't like it, look elsewhere. On a side note,you don't need a damn electric guitar to play good. The acoustic is perfect for this type of progression.
