Loreena Mckennitt did make a version of this song for one of her albums, but this isn't hers. Hers is softer and has a different accent. This is very pretty though and the Last Unicorn is one of my best childhood memories and my kids love it as well.

Actually, this is a good break up song! Well, recovering. Finally wrote a poem about my frustrations on how he did it, then I got the sudden urge to listen to Man's Road and saw this. Yeah...she sang the first line, and I was like, 'Since when does Loreena McKennitt have a Southern twang?' ...And I was so excited to hear a cover by her, too! Sadness.

Funny thing, because I have almost all the albums of Loreena McKennit and this song is one of them, and I may burn in hell but this IS Loreena McKennit. I don't hear any difference with the song on my cd then this one on Youtube?

I know, shame on me :( Appearently Loreena McKennit has sung that song, but it's never been recorded on any of her cd's. But I send an email to quinlan Road to ask for the original. Still waiting for a reply, but I know they will reply, since I've been corresponding before with them. Anyways, it still is a beautiful song, no matter who sung it. :-)

I do agree that the America version is the best of all that I've heard, but Loreena Mckennit has a beautiful voice, too, and she does do the song justice.
Although, if anyone listens to katethegreat19, raise your hand if you'd like to hear her do a cover of this song when she's done with all her other projects! (I'm not trying to force this on her, I just want to know if it's a good idea or not)

Actually, this is a good break up song! Well, recovering. Finally wrote a poem about my frustrations on how he did it, then I got the sudden urge to listen to Man's Road and saw this. Can't tell you how invigorating, how good I felt during her soaring "I'm Alive!"- bc I'm alive, and he is a jerk. I'm not going to let him slow me down. Thanks. I really needed that, and this is a great song and video anyways.
